    --[X] Your creator had a number of designs which got scrapped. Mostly due to Metal Sonic's personality issues. Mark III seems pleasing to your sensibilities. Having a body to control directly can only be useful when you deal with the imposter and rescue Doctor Eggman, though you will need to come up with some of the systems yourself.

    You begin working the vehicle pool of your new army. They will be piloted by self contained AI instead of an Egg Pawn variant. After all you want these to be top of the line, especially since they will likely be aiding the SWAT Bot forces as opposed to the empire's regular forces.

    Now…. to work on those blueprints.

    Just because not using all our points was bugging me; otherwise I'd be voting for need for speed and transport. Pretty sure the Bike can still carry a SWAT into battle, and it's also an independent attacker.

    ...The Copter's giving me Heavy Gunner vibes, to be honest, but it's still useful.

    "Commander! Anomalous robotic forces have been sighted across the planet!" a GUN soldier reported urgently over a video call.

    "Another new design from Eggman?! We still haven't even managed to-" the commander started.

    "No, sir, these robots are firing on Eggman's forces as well," the soldier interrupted. "It appears that a third faction has entered this war."

    "A third faction? As if things weren't bad enough already?!" the commander exploded.

    "See for yourself, sir," the soldier said, sending his superior several short videos.

    These new machines were clearly designed for function above all else; there was no sign of decoration on their forms, both the humanoids and the automated vehicles they rode. Every inch of their frames was unmistakably designed with the sole purpose of making the strongest warriors possible.

    In one video, an armored van parked to discharge a squad of immensely-powerful robotic soldiers that proceeded to rip a mob of Egg Pawns to shreds in seconds.

    In another, a helicopter exploded after being struck by a GUN-launched rocket, crashing to the ground only for the wreckage to shift as a pair of those same soldiers forced their way out of the pile of flaming scrap that had been their ride, only slightly worse for wear.

    A third portrayed two modified versions of those soldiers dismounting from a pair of motorcycles (with heads mounted to the handlebars... or perhaps the handlebars were attached to the heads? Hard to tell from a distance), one deploying a welding torch from its finger as the other started collecting scrap metal for some sort of construction project, their mounts circling them to provide covering fire independent of the engineers.

    A skirmish between Eggman's machines and GUN drones was interrupted by a pair of the new soldier robots charging in on wheeled feet, their fists and momentum easily tearing through some of the frailer models before they deployed heavy weapons to fire indiscriminately at all other machines present.

    Even Eggman's new transport ships were being attacked by these new machines, these ones utilizing thrusters on their backs to take to the skies under their own power.

    Last came a few seconds of footage of one of the strange machines deploying a weapon loadout eerily similar to the latest model of the much-feared E-Series to annihilate a GUN supply convoy by itself, the low quality and point-of-view clearly indicating that it had been salvaged from the convoy itself after the fact.

    The commander's horror at the sheer efficiency of this new menace was interrupted by an alarm sounding on the other side of the communication. "What the-"

    "What's going- There's nothing on- WHAT DO YOU MEAN STEALTH UNITS?!" the soldier screamed before the connection abruptly cut to static.

    Been wanting to omake more for a while, and finally got inspiration just now. So, have the GUN brass' first impression of the SWAT Legion!
