Edited mine. We got a ninja, there is a thief to learn from. Ignoring metadata, might net some useful knowledge to upgrade her with. All for smashing Tail's future workshops.

I'm a bit worried about sending team egg right back into combat against sonic and tails when the last match seemed kinda close. aditionally, we really should do this at some point

Is recruiting Shadow to punch Sonic in the face an option? The AI likely has access to enough files on Shadow's past that just offering them to him would likely work. Heck, just give them to him as a 'friend of the family' and he'll probably punch Sonic in the face on his own anyways. He and Dr. Eggman both agree that it's a very punchable face.
Edit: Also, trying to avoid a SECOND hedgehog nemesis for the "good" Doctor seems like the kind of thing they would do.

Assuming the interactions with Eggman from the game haven't changed in ways unmentioned (I assume it's going to plan as Eggman went on to phase 2), he's currently working with the Doctor while a bit amnesiac. And the Doctor doesn't like his plans to be interfered with in ways he didn't approve, though he doesn't mind us bringing out something we prepared for a betrayal scenario it seems.

We could try to buddy buddy up to Shadow, but he's a bit obsessed with revenge on the people of the Earth or their leaders, whoever, for Maria's sake at the moment.
