-[X] The Eight Eight Imperials, perhaps one amongst their number would be a worthwhile specimen for Vahlen.

-[X] Finally perfect Fire Cloak.
-[X] This dress is already ruined anyways.

The fact of the matter is, she could be a potential agent for the Gesellschaft either willingly or not, and this incident only serves to highlight the fact we know little of her mental state or what might set her off in the future."

Really? Who could have known that a person who is suspected to have been trained, raised, experimented, tortured and now being hunted by a large international organisation would have an aversion of being tracked by ANOTHER large organisation...

"It was your attempt at helping her that caused this mess to begin with, maybe you should take a step back and look at the bigger picture." Carol sneered, entirely unimpressed with the hero. "My family will not be a part of this debacle. Girls, go check on our guest and make sure nobody tries anything. As for you," She continued, crossing her arms as she turned back to Armsmaster. "I advise you take some time to go over the situation with your coworkers before you continue this course."

Go Carol (this is a nice change from the PDR!Carol).

This would be quite amusing if team child soldiers do battle with E88.

Though getting caught killing would be quite bad... it might be better to just wait for the endbringer and pick up corpses afterwards.

Hinata had been cleaning up for a while, the Asian girl hadn't managed to clean up the majority of the mess. The mop was simply spreading diluted blood around, much to the young girl's apparent frustration.
"It's not my fault! Usually I have the Branch House to do this kind of work."

"Branch House?" Amy asked.

"Part of the extended clan, they've got this symbol tattooed on their foreheads and serve the clan-head." Hinata drew a squiggle in the air.

Klan? Swastika? Yet more proof!

Didn't know Carol had it in her, huh.

We could bring them as living specimens.

What? So you're saying it would be better to get caught nabbing bodies during an endbringer fight than simply kill them yourself?

I'll imagine that it would be easier to secure a body of some little known random solo parahuman (possibly one which washed in the ocean) after the fight then it would be in killing someone from the E88.

Heck it might even be a good idea to try and grave rob the specimens rather then catching & killing them.

Picking A Fight
With how destabilized the region had become thanks to Bakuda's magic and the casualties caused by said spells, it would be quite troublesome to obtain and hold onto many of the items on the list. Seeing as how several of the requested items were in fact part of the ones preventing the city from recovering, Louise decided to just skin two manticores with one spell. She also wasn't the best at creating new idioms, but that was a concern for another time.

Bakuda was already taken care of and the only other major threat in her ridiculously named band of rebels was the man named after an organ. Since she wasn't too confident in her current ability to fight what may or may not be a rhyme dragon, Lung was out of the question for the moment until she could enlist the aid of others or come up with a plan. The vagabonds calling themselves 'Merchants' were of no importance and though the Undersiders were likely to hold a grudge against her for thwarting their plans, they were nowhere near being a credible faction or threat. No, the best choice would be the Empire Eighty eight.

Whether the number in their name was their place in a line of succession, a cultural reference beyond her understanding, or a census of their members... the mages at least, since a faction with only eight eight members in total belonged nowhere near the front lines for the extended period they'd supposedly existed... The important thing she would remember was the fact the imperials was currently under attack from several factions and she could use that to her advantage.

Making sure not to wake Hinata with the light, Louise spent the next half hour looking up information on the abilities and last know location of imperial 'capes'. Apparently they had a pair of wind mages of moderate skill named 'Cricket' and 'Stormtiger' were seen brutalizing the Asian community along the waterfront. While not the biggest threat, the pinkette was well accustomed to wind mages and it would be a good chance to gauge the similarities of this world's to mages back home. A pair of infamous giantesses titles Fenja and Menja had also been seen doing battle against protectorate Downtown, making them an easy target to find... though perhaps not to subdue without being spotted collecting their remains.

Lastly, a possible human-elf mongrel known as Purity was currently chasing the Merchants out of the trainyards. While the word elf was never used, the woman was far too ethereal in appearance and yet seemed too alive to be anything but one of the firstborn... not that the pinkette had any experience with the firstborn races. Taking into account her lack of extra appendages or fear of light, what type of firstborn could she be but an elf? Louise might have had what many considered a healthy fear of elves before meeting her teacher, but Master Cynric had been quite insistent in explaining away that fear. Apparently elves were just as kill-able as humans and believing their lies of superiority did nothing good for either race. She supposed he would know, being a mix of so many races that he couldn't properly explain his lineage... something else that would have driven her away in fear if not disgust when they'd first met.

If Purity was indeed an elf, Louise would just need to deal with her lingering doubts. After all, Master Cynric was sure to take her to a world with elves at some point and he likely wouldn't be happy with her if she made a fool of herself because of her upbringing. Shaking away the musings on elves and pocketed the phone, there was only so much time she could waste on idle thoughts before her information expired.

Status: Healthy
Magicka: (6600/14000)

Choose 1:

[] Armor up, it makes sense considering you're planning on combat.

[] Keep the dress and accessories on, the enchantments might help and any damages from fighting won't matter since it's basically ruined anyway.

Choose a target:
[] The wind mages: they're probably the easiest to fight.

[] The Giantesses: the only threat they pose is physical.

[] Purity: elf or not, she's just one person.

[] Other target write in.

-------------------------
A/N: Updated Louise's inventory page to reflect the damage to the dress, which means no more poison resist enchantment since the 'bodice' was shredded... the downside of enchanting such weak materials. Also forgot to note that the heat resist bonus of adaptive bone marrow has been overwritten by bleed resistance thanks to Louise's attempt at seppuku.
I would have added it into the chapter, but I didn't want to destroy several enchanted items without a majority vote.

Well the twins would probably be with kaiser, and purity might have already split from them, so wind users it is.

During Hinata's briefing in the hospital, she mentioned Kaiser and Krieg being in the Medhall building when it was hit with Bakuda's bomb. The top half of Medhall is now home to a massive green crystalline substance that is slowly converting the entire structure into more of the same. Considering the CEO's office is near the top.... he's probably not leading his empire at the moment.

Will this stop eventually or has Bakuda screwed the world over?
It will, most parahuman powers are regulated to some degree to prevent them from ruining the 'experiment'. Bakuda's bomb won't destroy the world or do anything bad enough to cause human extinction, but no promises otherwise... she did essentially make knock-off tiberium after all.
