Chapter 97 - When The Morning Arrives
There's really only one answer here. You can juggle multiple tasks at once easily enough.
"Of course I'll help. That said," you continue, "I've really got my hands full at the moment. It'll be a while until I have a stable enough foundation to start working."
Angela smiles. "That's perfectly acceptable. You should return to your current residence; it's almost morning."
"It is?" If the Library has any doors or windows to the outside, you haven't seen them. Between that and the temporal shenanigans working in the background, it's hard to keep track of time. "Were we really talking for that long?"
"Yes. I thought you had a better sense of time than that, X." Angela teases. You've heard that sort of criticism from her before, back in the Facility, but there's no bite to it now.
"Send me back, then. The kids have school, and they'll freak out if they wake up and I'm gone."

You do, in fact, arrive home before any of the children are awake. Yuma is in her room, showing no signs of alertness whatsoever. Mami, sleeping under a blanket on the couch in the living room, is much similar. Kyoko is a lighter sleeper, and shifts a bit when you peek in to check on her. The room is notably not reduced to ashes. You take that as a good sign and move on to prepare breakfast.
Hoping to branch out a bit from your usuals, you start on some omelettes. Your inherited memories are of no help here, and as such what you end up with is far below the usual standard for the household. It's not bad, but not incredible either. You're still staring in muted dissatisfaction when the kids enter the dining room.
Hopefully your story from last night will distract from the quality.
—————————
"Do you want to go to school, Kyoko?" you ask as you finish off a disappointing omelette. Nobody else seems to have any problems with it, so maybe it's just you. "I can probably extort Kyubey into arranging something."
"You don't have to do that. Besides, it wouldn't do me any good. I've already missed a few years, I'd be way behind." Kyoko says.
Mami frowns. "If that is an issue, I could help you catch up. I have been doing very well on my own schoolwork." Normally you would hear the pride in her voice at a statement like that, but all that you can find is concern.
"Nah," Kyoko stuffs her second omelette into her mouth to give herself a reason to look away from her sister. "You shouldn't waste your time on that. Besides, what'd I even do with a proper education? Not like I've got a lotta career prospects."
"If utility is the issue, I could always teach you some of the stuff I know." you propose. "Architecture, medicine, robotics, gene editing. Y'know, stuff like that. Can't guarantee I'd be a good teacher, though."
"I guess I'll think about it." Kyoko answers. Two omelettes is apparently enough to satisfy her. You're curious if the girl's increased appetite is a consequence of Distortion, years of malnutrition, or just something unique to her.
"Can Yuma learn too?" the greenette asks. You nod as you swallow the last of your breakfast.
"Of course, though not right now. You have school in a few minutes."
—————————
Two rounds of teleportation, and you and Kyoko are alone in the apartment. You have the whole day ahead of you.

Extremely short chapter, as it's just a bridge to the next actual event. I might actually add to it later. Welcome to Day 2 of Act 2.
After about ten hours of Limbus Company, I can safely conclude that the Sinners are just your typical DND party.
