There is another interpretation
Itzli looks normal to the quintet because her species standards of weird and eldritch are different than humanity and the weird an eldritch witches of earth would look tame to itzlis original species
Also meme he means that what is perceived may not be itzlis truest form
3000 HP and a time limit, what a painful fight. First phase is manageable if you have enough damage to kill the distortions as they arrive, but second phase is just terrifying with 16 enemy speed dice right off the bat, more if you don't play the interference pages.
I would inevitably try to beat this one with Thirteenth Toll cheese, fail and go back to good old Yesod and his insane damage output.
The notably good Modifications are Intransigence (Blockma's wet dream, too bad you can't use X's Page on other floors) and Devotion (1 light per page used is awesome). The others seem like a pain to set up properly.
The universe antibodies are the beings called Wraith, and they try to stop another instance of getting as much potential by absorbing emotions and leaving people as husks without drive, but it's not trying to course correct, it cannot, it just is a reaction to stop it from happening again.
The existence of grief cubes as remplacement to seeds is probably an indirect effect of Madoka's wish, since she wanted a universe close enough to hers, including the existence of magical girls and her friends, meaning that her wish needed something to replace the seeds and settled on the wraiths byproducts, I have not read Wraith Arc so don't now how much it goes into the details about this.
Whatever this is, the Adult has her hands on something that retains the information of the Distortions...
Wait did she steal/copy their books? No. The Distorted Ensemble never left any books behind.
So whatever Argalia or this "new" Puppeteer is...There are some mega shenanigans at work here.
While this is definitely a different way of displaying it, and TAWTL's abilities will be very much expanded on, the Mill is actually just a combination of a few different abilities from both media. Specifically, the Adult's Magic combined with a certain Magical Girl's in a particularly twisted manner.
"...until, in the later Middle Ages, the European nobility's original military role had started to gradually diminish. As military and economic technology evolved," Mami took a small sip from her cup of tea, "landed elites that maintained their equipment were phased out in favor of more effective professional armies. The same pattern can be seen in the decline of the Roman equestrian class, and the waning importance of the samurai during the Edo period..."
History, Mami mused as she continued her lecture, was often an unexpectedly useful subject, if one cared to understand it beyond rote memorization.
Take, for example, the matter of Magical Girls. While it was easy to mistake them for child soldiers at first glance, in her opinion this was a misleading comparison at best. Fundamentally, a Magical Girl was someone who provided her own greatest weapon - her soul - and maintained it herself. Much like a medieval knight took up arms only occasionally, "magical girl" was not a full-time profession; much like landed nobles, Magical Girls tended to settle down in a region and hold it like a fiefdom. Distasteful though it was to participate in this, even Mami herself had come to blows with conquering Magical Girls on occasion.
This, she theorized, was the reason why most Magical Girls' clothes and weapons looked so anachronistic. It was reflective of an earlier time - a better time - before the mind-boggling armies of nation-states, the cruelty of total war, and the sheer destructive potential of nuclear weaponry. Perhaps this was wishful thinking, but she earnestly believed that, unlike a professional soldier whose whole life was spent at war, a Magical Girl could have a future beyond a constant struggle for Grief Seeds.
...Yes, Mami decided, history was truly fascinating.
Going by the vacant expression on Sayaka's face, she did not seem to share Mami's enthusiasm for the subject.
"...Miss Miki, education is an important part of your life too, no matter how boring it may seem at the moment," Mami scolded, in what she liked to think was a stern, but kind voice befitting a senior. "Even with how things have gone recently, we have to keep our future prospects in sight. Especially since you yourself asked me to help you with your studies."
Sayaka blinked a few times. "...Mmm. I know. Sorry." She caught Mami's mildly disappointed expression, and lowered her eyes awkwardly. "...Uh, it's just, I've been thinking. Us magical girls, we're like those knights, right? I mean, we have our own weapons, and we don't hunt Witches all the time..."
Mami nodded eagerly. So you have been listening!
"...So, what does that make the tr-...Homura?" Mami didn't miss the way she'd hesitated before saying the name, nor the tightening in her eyes. "Angela explained it to me. When someone turns that key, they give up some of their time for her to use." The younger Magical Girl lifted her eyes to look at Mami, her expression full of anxiety. "...But, that's not fighting with your own power at all! She's just like a soldier, isn't she? Her guns, and her magic, they aren't really hers, you know?" Sayaka's speech was growing increasingly animated.
"And X, too! Her weapons, they aren't part of her, they're just technology! It's from that place she worked at before - didn't she involve other people in pursuing her dream there, too - people like Angela? But, I know for sure she's a good person...I just don't get it." Hugging her knees, Sayaka let loose a forlorn sigh.
After a moment, she spoke quietly. "Sorry. Please, go on."
"...You're saying it's wrong to use someone else's efforts for your own purposes, right? Since, if everyone did that, everything would fall apart." Mami found herself smiling a little at Sayaka's look of surprise. "I understand." She hummed. "Well, if you want another way of looking at this, don't you agree that some things are very important, so important that they'd remain worthwhile even if the whole world thought otherwise? In other words, is it really a sincere wish if you aren't willing to do anything for its sake? I think every Magical Girl has something like that." Mami gave a sad little laugh, then continued quietly. "It's just that we often disagree on what that important thing is."
Sayaka didn't answer, only stared at the floor in what Mami now recognized was a contemplative mood.
"Well, everyone's reasoning is different anyway. You can simply ask Mom and Miss Akemi about these things yourself, no?" said Mami. Sensing the gloomy atmosphere, she continued. "Now, I recall that you have a prior appointment around this time," - Mami smiled indulgently, - "would you like some more cake before you depart?"
Sayaka brightened at the mention of her plans for later, then tried to school her smile into a prim expression. "Ah, um, no, thank you, Senpai. I'm not hungry."
As Sayaka got ready to leave, throwing longing looks in the pantry's direction all the while, Mami reflected that perhaps she was deriving an undue amount of enjoyment out of watching the younger girl's attempts at keeping to a diet in the face of overwhelming confectionary firepower. Well, so what! I have to enjoy myself somehow too, you know!
Thinking these idle thoughts, and with a small smile on her face, Mami waved goodbye to Sayaka and went to work on a surprise dinner, for when Mother returned home.
With apologies to real historians. If I made some big mistake in the history part, just pretend it's the fault of lousy Japanese education or something, lol.
It was reflective of an earlier time - a better time - before the mind-boggling armies of nation-states, the cruelty of total war, and the sheer destructive potential of nuclear weaponry.
Once again...a bit confused. But not wrong either. It would be wrong if you purposefully take advantage of other people's hard work. But human society is built on the foundation of combined efforts.
Everything would fall apart if humans cannot work together for a better purpose. Of course, the better purpose might not come out of a selfless sacrifice. But selfishness can be shared too.
Better medicine might save one person, but it can also save many. The Seed of Light itself was a massive undertaking of this nature.
Excellent work! They are fairly in character. I'm not exactly sure whether or not Mami would act like that or if she would say those things but I feel like they are in character enough! Less sure about Sayaka though.
Voting closed, chapter will arrive in about a day. Not sure which story it'll be though, AVLS has gone a while without an update and while I did say irregular schedule it's starting to get to be a problem.

Don't go and do like some authors whose muse can't stay on a story though, if updating AVLS stops your muse from thinking about this story, I by far prefer to continus the older one rather than go for the new one, the second way can lead to constant new stories and no progress in any, and I absolutely hate that.
Yes. One of the greatest quest on this site, and, unfortunately, one that died before the end, just like Devourer of Worlds and countless others.
There is a reason I am so impressed by the fact that Naron is consistent in finishing his quest, and why I just told Lepi that I would prefer continuing the old rather than jump on the plot bunny. If there is one incidence I absolutely hate seeing in a quest or story, it's the author coming up with a new idea, and the readers clamoring for *do it! I want to see more of it!*, I want to continue what's there, thank you very much.
I really don't like Alivaril's muse nowadays. I can accept that Alivaril cannot concentrate on a single story, but that doesn't means I like it, I am particularly annoyed by the multitudes of QA fics, because I am very much not interested in seeing the same character constantly reset their characterization for every new fic.
Anyway, we shouldn't derail, let's turn back to this fic:
I have read the Daughter's reception, and boy, it seem like it would be a pain, it's both a speedrun, with the forced end to the reception, and a long fight, with the 3000 hp, numerous adds, and the target spending quite a lot of time untargettable.
How enjoyable it would be to play depends mostly on what *Library interference* and the other special cards do.
But really, I am just as annoyed by all these nice things just up and dying, hence why I force myself to stay with one project until it is done. Any other interesting plot bunnies I have during that time get to stew in the back of my head; if they are still around by the time I finish my ongoing project, they are at least persistent instead of a one-off "that would be a cool scene" kind of deal.
But yeah, I agree with the other sentiments, Lepi. If you feel you can not keep both of your Quests active at the same time, please focus on this one.

No need to worry about me dropping this story or any others, I hate it when that happens just as much as you do. Besides, while I obviously can't determine the specifics of what will happen in the future, there are still a few events that I'm waiting to get to. NT encounter was one, and you've still got… let's say four more in the story planned. If I suddenly stop updating, it'll probably be safe to assume I'm just dead.
I just remembered something that I found funny about Homura right now:
It seems the gate still has a silver key, I see Lepi did make some subtle reference here.
In case you dont't know, Yog-Sothoth is the most powerful active outer god of the cthulu mythos, he is literally space and time and is also called *the gate and the key*, and yes, the key is a silver key.
Which is fitting considering homuras method of time travel bears similarities to iori in how it works..........
Holy ****
I think I accidentally figured something unusual out
Tell me have any you read projection quests latest chapter that insinuates that yang and Taylor are the same person but from different universes
I think iori and homura are that
Think about it, major colors are purple, both scheme and obsessed with a loved one they lost and will do everything and anything to get back or keep safe, similar appearances looking like eachother except at different ages, an ability the crosses time and space, and being the more powerful entities of their worlds
If that doesn't scream multiverse variants then I'll eat my shoes!
Which makes me curious, are there versions of the quintet, Hitomi, and kyosuke in the city, does kyubey have a variant there? Is the pianist that worlds version of kyosuke?
An answer that makes me have infinitely more questions
