Oh god, the awkwardness is already pretty high, but going for the Angela inspired look might have created a black hole just with the weight of the awkward silence alone.

We know she did something, and this update does show that X was expecting the sephiroth to die as a consequence of what happened.

Practicality over emotions was all but Ayin's personal byword, and look where it got everyone around him.

Surprisingly, X successfully broke the tension and got the absolute hardest part over with, but the overall talk will be like dragging herself through a thorny bush. Probably one of the better ways to start this would be working out where they stand with each other. X isn't overly bothered with the Seed of Light fiasco and more or less only cares for the bonds she's managed to make, with Angela, the Sephirot, and the kids; plus the responsibility she feels for the Abnormalities. Angela is confirmed to be in the post-game, so while she still harbors a desire to gain humanity and live a free, true life of her very own, she's let go of revenge and opened up to those around her.

Airing these feelings, while it is going to be absolutely messy, seems a necessary step for the two of them to build a relationship unbound by Ayin's Script. We really don't need them looking over their shoulders at each other expecting the events of L-Corp to come back and haunt everyone.

My god they're so awkward I can literally taste it, there are these really long pauses in between every dialogue I think QM put on purpose to deliver the poignance of every statement and the result's really neat.
 
Yeah, stay away as far as possible from the "Manager and his little slave AI" dynamic. The less "bsns as usual" in this convo, the more productive our time with Angela is going to be.

Oh god it's worse than I thought. They're adorable. I love them. Is approval voting ok? I hope it is. Because all three of these are things I wanna discuss and I can't choose which two I want more.

Honestly I'm running on some combination of hope that we'll have time for more conversation with Angela, and wanting to lay the groundwork for future talks. They both care about each other, but aren't sure what the other's thinking and that weird air should absolutely be cleared up ASAP.

X never met Adult Who Tells Lies. She's dealt with all the ones her facility had to offer in exhaustive detail, giving her plenty of experience with most of the high-tier "Don't Fuck With These" Abnos, but there's a few she's going in blind for.

Honestly though, as much as it would be nice to know who all is missing, I don't think "work" is the note we want to start this long-coming conversation off on. Just the slightest feeling that opting to talk about the monsters X managed for the entirety of her life rather than any of the people or complicated relationships might not be the best for Angela's reforming image of X.

Alternatively, maybe make it even with Angela? I am not sure she will speak up on her own initiative, but well, offering might go a long way in and onto itself, given that Ayin very didn't acknowledge her existence at all, let alone agency or possibility of choice.

To be fair, this is post game Angela (and so post game Ayin too), so he did apologize to her, but still. Might go a long way.

Yeah, you know, alright. We already know that Angela didn't leave Sephira or agents in a ditch to die alone, so lets just work out things that are right after that in the hierarchy of importance.
