Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

Hm... I think I should make another attempt to explain my reasoning.

So let us look at what happened:
-the Clocktower is clearing all of England from hostile magical creatures to secure it
-we previously destroyed the most dangerous of the former already, then we were interrupted by international tasks (Daiyu, the camp, the camp)
-Daiyu wants to hunt after other legends; meanwhile, we have the weird mountain and the nests on our own list

Now... first of all, we have to remember that Cerys was originally expected to have more than one and a half dozen deployments; we went on three before getting distracted for a good two weeks. Either they already went through some of the places meant for us to clear by themselves, or those are held back until the end.
The cleaning up was supposed to take a month (I think), so it will be over pretty soon. If we want to scrape up some EXP and training time with our sword, the small fry is our best bet and not much longer available.

Additionally, no particularly powerful (hostile) creature is left in England. The Peluda is not doing anything right now and whatever lives in Switzerland does not attack, either. Those two will not run away and neither will the mountain, so they can wait another week.
(I just had this really weird idea of directing the demon invasion towards the Peluda and have one problem take care of the other... it would probably not work, but the thought is amusing)

On top of that, we still have a lot of things to figure out and work on... but it would be codescending towards the Clocktower to stay at base and train right now, when this large operation is still running.

This is why I think that, after finally figuring out if we can heal others, we should go for the nests instead of the other options.

Well we enacted the beginning of frozen. Should have included a musical interlude. "Do you want to build a snowman?"

Sounds good. I'm interested in the Dragon (?), the highland creature and the Peluda, but I'm fine with doing a little beforehand.

@Rukia I'm kinda curious, whatever happened to that Fish thing in Lake Superior? Is it dead by now?

I was thinking about those three... and I think the highland being should be left for last, simply because we know nothing about it or where to find it. The possible dragon is the closest and most likely friendly, while the Peluda will be something we kill.

So... I think we should take care of the Peluda first, after this is done. The other two seem at least peaceful.

I am leery of this. mind fight experimentation tends to end badly.

We already tested this and it works; we just have yet to hit anything with it, which Cerys did not do while applying it for some reason.
I mostly want to find out if this merely applies IA-damage to the target, or if it actually works as a buff on Infinity Edge and is therefore influenced by Crush.

Which reminds me... Cerys might become known as something pretty unhealthy to the magical population of Earth.

The Fish: was just living its life in the lake, thinking of no bad things except the occasional idiot trying to swim in its domain
-one day, it just went for a swim... then all those mean people showed up and killed it

The Scamps: just hanging out in their caves, eating out once in a while and otherwise content... burned to the ground and mercilessly slaughtered
-their boss, once they came back from wherever they were, was black holed out of existence

Blood Willows: merely standing around and bothering no one except the idiots that bothered them
-suddenly, everything around them is on fire and that human crushes them to pieces

Megatherium: I need not say anything

Thunder Bird: roosting on the mountain, being happy with its life even after it heard what happened to all its friends; the bird is a little sad that friend wolf died, especially.
-suddenly, it feels the magic and knows the predator has come... it fights and manages to push a bit, but is ultimately defeated

The black mage: Dude, leave me alone to do Science!
-alas, his room was suddenly the antarctica and his Scrants could not even scratch the entity that was after him

The Skull Wraiths #1: "Oh god, I can feel her nearby!" "ShitShitShit" "Okay, keep it cool, guys... we got this. Just... just stay there and there and there and hit her in the back!"
-a little later: "Shit, she killed Jerry... and Tom... and... uh... no idea who those guys were. But she's gone!"

The Skull Wraiths #2: "Guys, she's back!" """"WHAT?!"""" "Oh, why?! Go Away!" "Shit, it's really her!"
-a little later: Everyone's dead (, Jim)

Once we are done with clearing out the nests, I would like to test using both Ignition Aura and A&O at the same time again. The two merged with Armored Soul to make a new ability, so logically to use that ability we would need to use both IA and A&O.

Is Daiyu tagging along?

I am going to file a complaint if I have to tack this to each and every vote now...
I assume that she does always tag along unless explicitely stated otherwise... uh... @Rukia?

I've come to a decision.

I won't be writing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays.
Mostly because I'm so damn tired when I get home.

I might write something anyway, if I am awake enough.
But that will be the exception rather than the rule.

Sorry

Sounds like you've got a really bad case...

Of the Mondays.

Soo.... two things I noticed.
First of all, there are not really many votes. Which is okay if everyone is fine with what I am going for... but I wanted to remind everyone to look over what they want to do and maybe say something while there is still time.

Secondly... my brain just asked me what would have happened if we used the EXP differently.
Namely, to push all the 3.8k into Juggernaut Wave.

If we had done that, we could have brought the Spell to lv23.
Which would have increased the damage to 1,048,576,000
Or, in other words: "Hey, look! There used to be a planet there!"

...huh

That's a pretty glaring problem? I'm not sure about the power levels in Crystalwatcher's quest, but from what I've seen, Goddess Gold (who I assume is one of the strongest MGs in the world?) deals +10,000,000 base damage. That's 100x that amount.

I don't really think that level of damage should be able to be dealt with only 3.8k xp.

Well, yes. Goddess Gold has the highest damage in the setting.

However, we have exponential growth while she only has linear growth.
Her Spell, Oblivion Awaits, deals 10,000,000 damage at lv20.
So it originally dealt 500,000 damage at lv1.

Our Spell starts at far less damage, but grows much faster... and, basically, this is the premise of Fresh Meat: start the weakest, grow the strongest.

Exponential growth is bullshit for exactly this reason.

Edit: With that in mind, I doubt we have to ever go near that amount of damage.
Level 15 will push the damage to ~4mil, which should be more than enough for any larger structure or enemy we need to blast away.

Yeah, but that basically trivialises everything for a very small cost. These Skull Wraiths were relatively difficult compared to what we fought before, but they weren't nearly difficult to grant us a world destroying move. Sure, certain balance problems can be ignored since the quest has a design that allows for Overpowered shenanigans, but I expect us to WORK for it.

If a move is world busting, I expect it to be at least 1,000,000 xp worth. Probably more. And it should take us a shit ton of time to learn.

Having a move like this just sucks the fun right out of it when it's so easy to get.
