Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

Except Cerys already had this mentality?

Destroy anything that might endanger her sister, I mean.
Yeah, but... Morgan kind of reinforced and validated it? *Shrug*
but I would rather have this happen when Una is not around, to prevent more shipping.
You realize that Una is basically a proto-SBer, right? The Shipping is happening. She will Ship us/Cerys with anyone and everyone we react to.

I'm just waiting for Jeanne to be a cute/beautiful child prodigy only a year or two older than we are. Una's just going to look at us and smile.

You were leaning against each others shoulders for a good hour.

I let this one count, then. Okay.

But one day! One day!
...
No, actually not.

By the way, I really hope the meeting with Karen does not eat up the whole morning and noon; I structured my plans for magic training into two phases, which needs two votes... if we only have the afternoon, there will not be enough time...

Hm... I will file that idea away for later and just take it out for now.
You really need to take it slower with social. It's going to take much more than a few days to heal Cerys' mental scars.

Pushing Cerys into multiple social interactions like you've been trying to so soon won't help. It will only add to her stress.

Just let her do it on her own; she will eventually ease off over time.

Those are good points.
On the other hand, I get the feeling that if we do not try to do at least some social, Cerys might stay the way she is.
Maybe I am just underestimating her trauma... I probably am.

At least I can throw out my guesses on how much time she will have to spend on social; that leaves more time for fluff with Best Little Sister and Magic Training... which is a win for everyone because, as people may have noticed, I can not into social.

Her friendship with Morgan is currently more than enough. Just look at this quote from the current update:
She tilts her head to look at you out of the corner of her eye. "Make new friends." You bite your lip and glance away when she says that, when you look back, she looks a little disappointed but not really surprised. Honestly, she was the closest thing you'd ever had to a friend, but it still felt awkward to think of her as a friend.
And there is also Jeanne... I guess.

Edit: Not Karen since she is probably too busy to be befriended.

If I could just get the Nanoha-image to work, I would have made the joke...

Anyway, I will leave social-fu to you for now, then. You obviously have a better grasp on that part of Cerys than I.

Edit: Or... I will probably just wait for you to approve of any social-fu I do in future votes.

Yes, exactly. I tried using it, but the editor borked it up.

Edit: Basically, the joke would have been for Karen to have Cerys standing in front of her door with that expression one day.

Jeanne, where have I heard that name before..." She mumbles to herself for a little while before perking up. "Ah yeah! This French chick who swings around a great big greatsword.
I bet she is the perverted onee-san type. :p After all, it's obvious she is compensating for her lack of a certain something∼.

Or maybe... It's because the GM professed his love for yuri.

I just hope she is not the kind that tries to... uh... 'steal Una away' as her little sister? Is it called that? No idea.
Because oh boy... imagine the firestorm.

Would it surprise you guys to learn that while yes, there is indeed a reason you are meeting so many female characters that no, this is not for my ships?
There is a legitimate canon reason for this, not considering the three other reasons that also come to mind that aren't shipping.

EDIT: This was my muse for this writing session.

When in doubt, it is always Gaia.

Honestly? I would guess that Karen makes it so we start out having mostly girls/women around us because Cerys and Una are girls as well. Having men around her sister might make our protagonist... suspicious. And firestorms lie that way.

the three other reasons that also come to mind.

One of them is shipping and another is Gaia, I guess?
The third one might be something about this being a Magical Girl Quest, so of course most of the cast is female.

I am rather glad I made another bunch of characters recently, though. I am still ahead of the waifu-wave.

You... are pretty spot on to be honest.

Gaia identifying as female + MG's + Magic is belief has had a rather... interesting effect when it comes to magic between genders.

Also right for the Karen part.

Huh. Protection and Love are concepts that were created by Humanity (?), while Beginning and End are fundamental concepts that were created during the birth of the Universe.

While Rukia's reply to you is satisfactory in one way, I also like to point out that this is an utter misconception for Crystalwatcher's universe.

Love and Protection are in no way the creation of humanity, not by a long shot.

Forget [ Time ], forget [Beginning], forget [End].

The only reason anything [Exists] at all is out of Cosmos' [Love] for Void. Out of that love she decided to instigate it all and force everything to exist.

Also Love is something specifically mentioned as a thing that Cosmos brought with her when she stepped into existence.

And there is a reason that both Cosmos' and Void have the "guardian of Cosmos" ability in reference to Void.

You could say that Love is what Cosmos represents most outside of her affinities, and that Protection represents Void the most outside of her affinities.

Rather, those two qualities are in ways more central to them than most of their affinities are.

[Beginning] and [End] might have [Existed] before [Love] but if not for [Love], [Beginning] and [End] would never have existed in the first place.

Love and Protection are nothing to scoff at conceptually in this world, and are every bit as fundamental to it existence as [Beginning] and [End] is, if not more so

Naron, I think you're going too fast when it comes to socializing. It's like you're forcing Cerys into forcing herself, she's been this for years even before she ran away with Una and to suddenly try to be a social butterfly is going to be like jamming a square peg into a round hole. Cerys has time to slowly get used to interacting with people who are completely different from the usual people she's been forced to deal with. Remember how long Rukia said this quest could be for Cerys, you don't need to force change right now. Please just slow down.
