Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

Wew lads
I had forgotten about those...
It's funny, because most of the older goddesses aren't that bad actually. I mean, they're a lot more suggestive, but... well White Heart looks like she's ready to wreck even more than usual and Green Heart's... not that different honestly. Just showing her legs as well now more than anything.
I'am afraid to ask but on a 1 to 10 scale how reveling are there?
... 9 or 10? Like... they just cover enough to be technically legal.
No, not enough to strip out of. Except maybe Noire/Black Heart.

Who thought that was a good idea?
*Shrug* It's Japan. They were also looking at already skimpy girls and going "Now how can we make these seem corrupt?" (Cause Chaos and stuff). The answer: Even skimpier costumes.

Also, legal age in Japan is 13. Although if one party is an adult, the other must be at least 17. So it's more just acknowledging that teenagers are gonna be teenagers.
Fanservice or Libido?

It apparently sells, so *shrugs*?
And this. Fan-service sells.

... I love you.

That is just amazing.
I have lost my faith in humanity.
... Only now? Huh. Umm... You're welcome?

THE CANADIAN BORDER: END
You bite your lip as you peer into the distance with your sense. There is a lot of people over there and you really doubt that you have the ability to sneak past that. Just go around them. The simplest method usually works the best. You carefully lean closer to Morgan as as you keep your mind on the soldiers you can feel patrolling. "You got any ideas, my best one is to just go around them." You whisper to her quietly.

She is silent for a while, thinking. "That is probably for the best. Normally I would just cross over using magic to hide, but if the Light is looking for you they might notice..." She furrows her brows. "No, it would be better to do this normally. Move down the fence for a couple of hours until the sun is about to set, it will shine a glare into the guards eyes at that point."

You turn your eyes back towards the base, still out of view as it is. Hmm. You glance around with your sense, trying to find the side least occupied by people. From what you can tell, the left has fewer people though that might mean there are more further down... It's still probably the best bet. "We're going to go left for a couple of miles, see if we can find a section that is less guarded. This one is just a mess." You see a nod of agreement from your sister and Morgan lets out a hum.

You spend the next hour slowly snaking your way through the treeline west, carefully avoiding coming within six hundred metres of anyone. The people manning the border seem to be ambling around idly, they don't look like they are particularly alert, though you can't really tell properly with just your heat sense. There is a distinct lack of people moving about quickly though, they are all just walking from place to place slowly. How odd, I thought they'd be on high alert... You ask Morgan if she has any idea as to why they are so relaxed right now, you must have missed some sort of news.

She just narrows her eyes in the direction of the border though. "No... I don't know why they would be relaxed right now. Last I heard they were throwing about demands that they be allowed to send soldiers over the border to search for the missing people." She stops to think about her statement for a moment. "This... does not bode well."

God I hope that's not what happened, I just want to find some rich idiot's house and have a long and relaxing bubble-bath. This whole super-spy thing was never your forte. You could do it but it was so much simpler to just wander from place to place and leave your problems behind you. It's ok, we'll find a place up here and settle down for a while, think about the future. You sigh as you keep a wary eye on the border, no cameras, as far as you can tell. The only heat you feel is of people, lights and the occasional vehicle moving along. It's probably a good idea to just leave the country. You mull the thought over for a while, stepping left around a tree. Actually...

"Morgan, I know this might a weird time to ask, but do you have a way of getting off of the continent? Somewhere in Europe maybe, you travel a lot."

She blinks at your for a minute before smiling. "Yeah, that's no problem. It would be a pain if I didn't have some way to get around myself, since I travel so much." Your group halts at a signal from you, letting a jeep of some sort pass. They are showing up much less frequently now, not much further. "I normally catch a flight but I have a boat. But uh...it's not in this country." She straightens slightly. "Actually, I can call Karen to send us over a plane!"

You stop moving when she says that, nearly making her bump into you. "A plane?" What "Like an entire airliner?" How?

She smiles at your confusion. "No, not an entire airliner. We have a small prop plane that we had modified. It can land and take off on a road and it has enough fuel to reach all the way over here. Though it'll need a refuelling for the trip back." You start moving again as the jeep passes. Ok, that's one problem taken care of, maybe.

The sun is getting fairly low in the sky now, just barely peeking above the trees, the area you are in seems relatively empty of guards. You can feel a couple at the extreme edges of your sense, but there is an open stretch of fence in front of you. The fence itself isn't anything special, it was around two metres tall and was just bare wire mesh, you'd not heard about a fence being here before, they must have thrown it up in a hurry.

Your guess is confirmed when you feel another jeep approaching. You wait for it to approach only to see some sort of industrial carrier, moving on tracks rather than wheels, carrying massive bundles of chain-link fence. Oh, the cold makes it seem smaller than it actually is. Going to have to remember that. Still, what few guards there were stood around on top of small metal towers, every... mile or so? The towers looked new too, though how they actually got them here was a mystery to you. Did they build them on site?

Whatever, need to focus now. The fence looks fairly sturdy, you could probably climb it without issue, though you would definitely be seen if the guards looked down the fence line. Actually, I could jump it... If you used your magic, you could jump that without too much issue, though whether you could do so carrying Una. Mmm, I guess I have to take some risks sooner or later. "Morgan, I can make it over the fence, I'm assuming you can do the same?"

She nods as she peers around. "Yeah, I can clear that without too much problem, what about your sister?"

You purse your lips reluctantly. "I think I can carry her over if I make the jump." She nods before glancing at the sun. It was reflecting off of the wet grass at your feet and it made looking anywhere but down painful. Perfect. You wait a little longer, until the sun was truly shining right into your eyes if you looked up. You motioned your sister over to you and carefully lift her into your arms. You hold her close to your chest and let her get a good grip on your shoulders, wrapping tightly around you.

You look around, but the window of time you have is closing now. You share a look with Morgan and you get ready to dash, pre-emptively threading reinforcement through your limbs and lightening yourself as much as possible. The moment you feel is best, when both guards seem to have moved to the furthest sides of their towers you bolt.

(Cerys 68 + 15 Stealth = 83)

You manage to cross the gap between tree and fence in seconds and a moment later you jump as hard as you can. Instead of soaring into the air as you usually do, lightened by your magic, you feel the weight of your sister suddenly crash into your chest. The strength that comes from your reinforcement is enough that you just barely manage to clear the fence, the heel of your shoe clipping the very top before you've passed it and are falling back towards the ground.

You land with a harsh thud, unable to roll with your sister in your arms, instead you just push down as hard as you can and race towards the trees on the opposite side of the fence line. You can feel Morgan right behind you as you plow through the greenery, moving as fast as you can push yourself.

You keep running for as long as you are able, only stating to slow down when the sun is setting and visibility drops. You slowly halt your mad dash as you lean back against a tree, your sister still clamped firmly in your arms. You are slightly breathless as you share a look with Morgan, exited grins growing on your faces. Both of you burst into relived laughter as you catch your breath, your sister just looking on confused. When it starts to trail off, you finally let Una down from her perch in your arms. God that was exhilarating.

Safe... We're safe now. It's that though that lets you finally relax, dropping your head back against the tree behind you as you close your eyes.

Plan...
[] Set up camp where you are and start moving towards the nearest town that you can find
[] Move further away from the border tonight then set up camp, town tomorrow
[] Write In...

+15xp Escaped America untouched

All praise the sun!

75k words in and you've almost finished the first Arc.
Progress!

The big question is how many arcs you have planned and how far we can destroy your plans.

Additionally, this is just the amount that was Threadmarked... we probably have another 40k words worth of discussion flying around.

I am jelous at how much you can write. Unfortunately my character is both alone, and has very important...

It is mostly a matter of practice, actually.
You could just do it like I did and give your character a little doggy to play with.

As tempting as the idea is, you may be gaining a 'pet' of your own soon.
ATM, the biggest wrench you could throw in them would be to leave Morgan and go piss about in the woods alone.
Not sure why you would want to do that but this is SV, I've seen stranger.
Depending on your plans, this could be impossible to derail without losing.

Wait wait wait...

Did we somehow lose the 'set the forest on fire as promised' part?

Becausewe knda still owe that forest a fire...
