BESTEST LITTLE SISTER IS LOOTING
- Location
- England
Looking at all the shinies in the the the room makes your fingers itch a little, but it would be bad if you woke sis up, so you womanfully suppress the urge to grab stuff and sneak out of the room as quietly as you can. You try your best, but your foot catches on a bit of carpet sticking up in the doorway, nearly falling on your face, the loud noise only prevented by you making an awesome combat roll that sis taught you. Unfortunately, while you manage not to fall on your face, you promptly roll straight towards the wall and smack into it face first.
Cursing under your breath quietly -sis doesn't need to know about that little detail, she would be furious- you flop to the floor holding your face. "Owwwwwwww." You whisper out as quietly as you can while shuffling to your feet. Feeling a little silly, you decide to just get on with it all sneaky-like. Making your way over to the bedroom next to you you peak your head in and take a look around. The first thing that catches your attention is the big chest-o-draws, tip-toeing over to it like a Ninja -you would make an awesome Ninja- you carefully pull open the draws in order, checking them from top to bottom.
(Una: 12)
All you find are some musty boys underwear -eww- and some dead moths. Pouting at your lack of haul, you tip toe your way over to the cupboard and pull the door open, wincing slightly at the long drawn out squeak it lets out.
(Una: 10)
The cupboard has a metal pole stretching across the top and clothes of all types hanging down by hangers, it's completely bare apart from a few socks in a corner. You aren't quite sure what you expected to find but you are still a little disappointed. Shaking your head you move over to the bookshelf and squint as you look over the different titles on the covers.
(Una: 83)
Through the dimness of the room you manage to make out titles of the books in the spots where light shines through cracks in the curtains, the first has an artsy looking cover on something called parkour, the second is a woodland survival guide and the third is a huuuuge encylopia- encypedia- knowledge book thingy.
(Una: 17)
You look at your Pile O Stuff™ and at the various toys littering the room, but nothing really catches you eye, it's all boring boy stuff like little cars and toy soldiers and useless things that you cant really take when you have to move again. You move your Pile O Stuff™ into the hallway and leave it there after closing the door with a quiet click. You turn around and look at the bathroom, the nearest door and silently pad your way over this carpet is so comfy-
Poking your head through the door, you look around before you sneak in, but there really isn't all that much in here. Just a bath, a toilet, a sink with an attached cabinet/mirror and some fluffy towels on a rack.
(Una: 63)
When you open the cabinet to have a looksie you don't really find much, some toothpaste and a couple of unused brushes -the others taken with them when they went on holiday mmm? I wonder where they went, I bet it was sunny. You don't really know how sis knows when people are going to leave and when they'll come back, but after nagging her about it for ages -ok it was a few hours- she finally said that she'd show you how! Ooh you were so exited. Shaking your head and looking back into the cabinet you shift things around and notice In a corner you find a box of twenty plasters, half of which are gone.
(Una: 55)
After you move all of the things into a Pile O Stuff™ you are hit by a sudden idea as you look around, noticing a really fluffy towel out of the rows of mere fluffy towels, its blackness drawn all light into itself and hides it wearers from light itself. Sliding The Cape Of DOOM around your shoulders you fiddle with it for a while until you manage to tie the front together, when you look into the mirror it looks pretty capeish to you. You creep out of the bathroom with a silly grin on your face as you try to slink down the hall towards the last mystery door.
You hold your breath as you open The Mystery Door and blink mutely as you observe a mostly empty room. There is just some tables and mats, that's it. Though there is a weird covering for the window that you go over to check is still closed properly, it's pretty bare.
(Una: 34)
You poke lift the mats one by one, expecting to find a secret treasure of some sort, only to be disappointed by a small scrap of blank paper, dust and some hair. While you are on your knees the indigi- badness of it! You decide to check under the table.
(Una: 2)
You slide your way under the table without a care, looking up at it, when you see nothing you scowl and hit one of the legs as hard as you can. You promptly discover how bad of an idea this is when the leg cracks and you get a huge splinter jam itself into your hand and oh god it hurtsanditsbleedingfuuuuuuuuck
You roll around a little as you mentally swear up a storm, biting down you your lip hard enough to make it bleed a little. After a good five minutes of breathing heavily you finally manage to stop rolling around and your not crying you wrap your hand in your cape with watery eyes. After a minute or so you pull your hand back and look at the chunk of wood stuck in your hand, tentatively you grab it and tug it slightly, it hurts really really badly but you manage not to cry out.
(Una: 80)
You squeeze the flesh around the splinter for a little bit and you manage to push it loose from where it was lodged, when you pull on it this time it comes free with only a slight grunt of pain and a single tear. Wrapping your hand in your cape again, you are silently thankful for its black colouring. If you manage to bandage it and it scabs quickly sis won't even need to know about your little accident, she's so fussy when you get hurt and its not even a big deal. You are a big girl now, you can take care of yourself!
With your left hand wrapped in your cape you crawl out from under the demon table and wobbly make your way to you feet. As much as you want to leave the room to go fix your hand, you decide to do more searchy things first, don't want to leave a job half done or something, you think you heard your sis say something like that once.
(Una: 4)
You shuffle around the room, pushing down on some floorboards, looking to see if you can find anything interesting. You are most of the way around the room when your foot suddenly goes straight through a board and hitting the under-layer beneath it. The fall surprises you and your foot catches on a jagged bit of board, making you trip. You manage to turn yourself onto your side so your cape and shoulder catches most of the fall, but you feel your foot twist as you do so and hit your head against the wall as you fall.
Vocally swearing in pain quietly this time you manage to unjam your foot from the hole, and lay there silently for a minute or two, to make sure you don't wake sis up because that made so much noise and I said I'd be quiet nooooo
This time when you wriggle your way to your feet, you put tentative weight on your right foot only to wince twisted, sis will be so maaaad
Edging your way out of the room, you keep your eyes solely on the the Demon Table and move as fast as you can, when you slip out of the room you stare it down before the door shuts with an ominous click. Never again will you disrespect foreign tables, for their revenge was swift and deadly.
Limping your way over to the master bedroom, you poke your head in to make sure that didn't wake sis up, letting out a slight sigh of relief when it looks like she's only shifted onto her back.
Moving towards the stairs you keep the Demon Door in your perifi- perhi- side vision and carefully stop at the top. Normally you would rush at the chance to slide down such a magnificent staircase, but with your foot as it is you don't really feel confident making a landing with it. You decide to walk down the stairs, using your hand to take your weight off of your foot as you do so, swishing your hips on each step to make your cape do a little Jig as you go.
When you reach the bottom you peer around at the various different things in the entryway. Before you do anything you wincingly make your way over to the door and check that the makeshift blind that you put over the glass is still in position. It's shifted a little and you can see out of the corner of the window now, you take a slight peek out of it before you shift it back over, not really seeing anything beyond some helicopters floating around in the distance.
You decide to start your next looting quest Looting 2, The Lootening with the big wicker box that sits by the door, against the wall.
(Una: Nat 100)
Flipping the lid open you see another, slightly smaller box, it has a code pad on it and it's all black with slick lines and it looks really cool like one of those spy movie boxes. Practically vibrating with anticipation you push a random four button code and let out a stunned noise as the box lets out a little beep and the screen above the buttons flashes green, the locks on the side unclasping. You stare at the box for a moment in stunned silence before you let out a quiet, but high pitched squeal as your hands rush to the sides, ignoring the sharp pain that comes from your still slightly bloody hand you give the lid a good tug, it takes a couple of tried because its really heavy but you eventually manage it.
With the lid open you stare at the contents with a silly grin, resisting the urge to reach out and grab them. There is a big pile of money, carefully stacked in a rectangular pile, wrapped together in some sort of binder that takes up a good half of the box in width, length and height. On the other side of the box, there is another box, though it has no locks on it and it opens with no resistance. When you get a glimpse at the inside, all of the excitement that had been building in your chest instantly turns into a cold and icy feeling.
Sitting there, inside a little silver box inside two other boxes, is a large pistol. It has several different attachments and there is a significant amount of ammunition next to it along with a cleaning kit. Blinking in shock at your find, you slowly close the lid on the box containing the weapon, before grabbing the entire black box and hauling it up into your arms. It's so heavy but you understand that you need to move things like that out of easy sight and you drag it up the stairs as quietly as you can, pushing it along the floor until you reach the master bedroom. You take a good ten minutes to ever so slowly slide it into a corner of them room without waking up sis. You grab a nearby box off of a jewellery cabinet and put in on the rim, to make sure it doesn't close on it's own somewhere as you have no idea what the code you put in was.
You get up and quietly move away from the box, sis had always told you to leave anything like that for her to deal with, and apart from showing you how to use a gun in case you were in a tight situation you know that they were really dangerous and that you should leave them well alone for sis to death with.
Quietly moving back down the stairs a lot more slowly and sombrely, you close the lid on the empty wicker-box and look at the rest of the foyer around you.
(Una: 66)
You poke around in the draws of the table against the wall, you don't really find anything interesting but you do find some batteries in a little tupperware box. You take your prize out with a smile and set them on top of the table before moving on to your next target.
(Una: 29)
You poke around the coat rack to see if there is anything interesting, but the family obviously took all of their coats with them wherever they went wow, greedy much? You shake your head and clip the standing rack, you mange to catch it before it goes far or makes much noise and you let out a sigh of relief that is interrupted by a jolt of pain, having just torn some of the scabs that were forming over the cut on your hand. With your aching hand and slightly less achy foot you move over into the living room, taking a glance over at The Door but deciding not to poke after sis told you not to.
(Una: 81)
When you get to the living room you carefully check below the various bits of furniture and between the cracks of the seats. You find a phone charger plugged into a wall underneath the TV sets table but not much else, you find a screwdriver and a working phone down the back of the sofa and armchair respectively. Smiling at your find, you fiddle with the buttons for a little bit and manage to get to the home screen, no password? Yoink, mine now. Quickly turning it off to preserve battery you look around the room until your eyes alight on the multitude of doors next in the TV tabledesk thingy.
(Una: 90)
Sliding open the draws you find a multitude of wires and connectors in neat orderly little piles, in another you find some duck tape, the TOOL OF THE GODS and in another you find an unopened pack of blue-tack, glue, super-glue, some pens, pencils and a thick stack of unused paper.
Smiling in glee at your shiny silver roll of GODLINESS you carefully stack everything in your arms and pad back into the hallway, grabbing the battery box on the way and ferrying everything upstairs before moving all of the things into one big Pile O Loot™. You make your way downstairs and move back to the living room, you consider taking a break to watch TV, but because you took so long before, the sun outside has started to set and sis has made you well aware of the dangers of making light after dark, or during the day, or at all light is pretty dangerous ok? Don't judge me
You pass stealthily (as you can) through the living room and into the Kitchen. After all the work you've done searching, you think you deserve a reward, so you sneak your way over to the Fridge and pop it open the quiet hum it makes getting a little louder.
(Una: 97)
The fridge and freezer are stocked top to bottom with food, expensive looking food. Lots of it look like that non-perishable stuff sis always makes sure you have on hand whenever you move, if you can bring any food with you at all. Smiling broadly at the wide range of food in front of you, something you've rarely had before, you are actually confused on what you want to eat. The feeling surprises you considering sometime it's less that and more anything you can eat, depending on where you stay.
Smiling gleefully you grab the first thing you hand comes across and tear open the packet and munch your way through it, you do the same for a bunch of different things before your something catches your eye. It's kept in the freezer section, it's tall and the liquid inside is see through, so at first you mistake it for some cold water. Turning it in your hands lets you see your mistake, the lettering on the bottle is in some strange boxy language that you cant read "водка" but you see a small number near the base that says 40%. 40% of what? 40% awesome maybe? Yeah, that sounds about right
Grabbing a hold of the cap, you give it a strong twist that makes your hand burn before the cap slides loose. After a bit of work you manage to get the lid off. You remember your sister always told you not to drink things that have % on them without asking her, but she's asleep so it's fine right?
Your arms are shaking a little, holding the heavy bottle you you manage to lift it to your face and take a long and deep mouthful. You are in the middle of swallowing this mouthful when the taste suddenly hits you and now it feels like you are drinking liquid fire. You swallow reflexively before you start coughing violently, sending little splashes of the fire drink splashing onto the floor. After a solid minute of coughing, you manage to catch your breath and stare incredulously at the bottle. WHO DRINKS THIS?
You stare at the bottle for long enough that you can finally taste the aftertaste, it's just as bad as the your first gulp and it makes your face squash together. You quickly put the cap back on the drink and stuff it back into the freezer, slamming it closed and leaving a bitter aftertaste on your tongue. It's not that bad really, it just burns like acid
Shaking your head at your idle thoughts you decide to get back to being Responsible! again. Opening the fridge part again, you look over the the expiration dates on the different foods, most all of them are set to last for another week, some longer. You decide to grab a carrot to nibble on and try to get that taste out of your mouth, that brings up food for sis, so you decide to grab two apples for her reds are her favourite.
You bring the snack up to her room and leave it on the cabinet next to her and make your way back to the kitchen, ready to have a looksie once more.
You see the roll of bandages that you left downstairs, the discarded once she used at the mall and the little puddle of blood that formed where she laid earlier. You frown as you look at the blood pool, there isn't really anything here to clean that up properly apart from some cloths and you don't want to have all of them be stained with blood. For now you gather together the bloody bandages to see if you can do anything with them, grab the half used box of bandages and move them to your Pile O Loot™. Before you go downstairs you tear off a little bit of clean bandage and wrap it around your hand gently.
Once you came back downstairs you peered around at all of the cupboards, including the one you left open when looking for bandages yourself.
(Una: 71)
When you poke through them you find some half used cleaning supplies in one along with some unused cloths. In another you found a box of various screws, nails and other assorted pieces, there are so many different things that you don't bother trying to sort it and just move the box upstairs.
After grabbing a chair from the table in the room you shimmy onto the counter and peer up into the cupboards there.
(Una: 3)
You try opening a cupboard and before you can your foot slips on a little slick of blood from where you were helping your sister earlier. You fall off of the counter but manage to land in a roll and follow through to your feet. You jar your foot enough for it to start aching again and decide, rather firmly not to try that again.
Seeing as you've grabbed most everything that is easily available, you make your way upstairs, checking on the windows as you pass them, and finding them all still covered. Once you reach the top, you start moving towards your sisters room before looking back to the bathroom. Lovely hot steamy water or my smelly bloody bestest sister... It's not even really a choice, you move back into the master bedroom and slip yourself back into the bed, your sister has a large frown on her face now, it eases a little as you snuggle back into her comfy arms. Resting your head on her chest, you can hear her heartbeat clearly in your ears, stronger than it has ever been. Listening to your big sisters beating heart eventually lulls you towards sleep, a relaxed grin stretching across your face.
