    "Aside from the obvious?" Shoji shrugs, shaking his head, "Not really, she'd just be a scarier version of you."

    "Another me..." You mutter, putting a hand to your head, "There's already me and Yuki, how many mes are we gonna end up taking in?"

    "...Well, if I had to guess--?"

    "Please don't jinx it." You plead with him, "I don't want too many different mes here. Two of me is more than enough."

    "Some would argue that one is more than enough," Shoji adds with a chuckle, "But, hey, they're criminals. Who cares what they say?"

    You actually chuckle at that, "Who knows? Maybe the world does need more of me!"

    "Didn't you just say not to jinx it?" Shoji grins.

    "...Oh, yeah. I did say that." You sigh, "Welp, at least it's my fault."

    Shoji shakes his head, sighing fondly, "Always making yourself the carrier of all burdens." He says in what you think is some sort of paladin-esque voice.

    At first, Shoji gives you a confused look, but his expression changes to solemn introspection rather quickly. "I... Maybe?"

    You sigh, "First Dawn, now this. I've got two kids, and I'm not even in a relationship yet!"

    Shoji stares at you, trying his best not to make a joke at your expense.

    After a moment, you pat Dawn on the hilt. "...No offense, Dawn. It's just not exactly normal circumstances, but I still love you regardless."

    "I..." Dawn responds, "...The feeling is mutual. I think."

    Shoji stares at you harder, only this time judging you for talking to your sword.

    "...What? She's alive." You defend yourself and Dawn.

    "I didn't say anything." Shoji deflects, "But we don't even know if this demon is real."

    "I mean, she could be."

    "But we don't know for sure. Heck, we don't even know how Rumor Demons..." Shoji thinks for a moment, trying to figure out what he wants to say, "...Come into being."

    "Well, no," You concede...

    "...But maybe someone else does?" You say, "Maybe someone who works closely with demons?"

    "Besides you?" Shoji seems a little apprehensive, "Who else is there?"

    I honestly don't remember if Shoji has ever been in the Cathedral of Shadows before, but he's definitely been near it.

    "I'll... Uh..." You stumble almost immediately, thinking about her letter to your uncle, "...On second thought, let's just go talk to Mido."

    "Why the sudden change?"

    "Oh, I just remembered she'll be busy tonight." You don't lie, but don't exactly tell the truth, "But you've met Mido, right?

    "Uh, maybe...?" Shoji shrugs, "Where might have I met him?"

    "Oh, he lives in the apartment complex with us." You explain, "Leaves his door open, foreboding fog pouring out, that guy!"

    "Him?" Shoji seems to be in disbelief, "He works with demons well enough to know how Rumor Demons form?"

    "Yeah!" You nod, "He's who I go to when I need to fuse new demons!"

    Shoji stares at you like you just told him your skin is made of candy. "Wha-- I... Fuse?"

    "Have I not told you that's how that works?" You ask him, "You fuse your demons together to get stronger ones! That's, like, rule three or four to being a summoner!"

    "I don't think you've ever... No, wait, I read about that on the program's FAQ page. Just remembered it now." Shoji cracks his neck, "Oh, that's stiff...! So, are we gonna head over there now, or...?"
