According to my time zone that vote result was from Feb 5, 2025 at 1:47 PM.That count did not include my vote. What I voted for won, but it wasn't counting everyone. I've seen that happen a few times over the course of this quest.
Honestly, I really really really want this to happen, especially if it happens at her parents house again so that we can watch Charity throw her hands up in the air xDIf we somehow got both I imagine the reaction would be quite strong. Especially from Uriel, whose words we're taking as justification to try redeeming ancient monsters. Think we can get another visit via sheet exasperation?![]()
with the corpse.
Ok, this is a good point. I do not necessarily mean to turn it away from being of darkness. Only to accept the light. Lydia is its spiritual cousin, many times removed - also a being of darkness of sorts (she is death aligned, can process necrotic Essence, is a product of Kemmler's and dreamed of this place when she was a child), and she exists under the sun just fine, and is better for it. Instead of completely switching its nature (not sure if it's possible, and it would be a harder sell) in the sense of its metaphysical setup, I think instead we could try to expand what it is. We are also a user of tainted power, and we are weclome in God's grace, and we are expanding Creation, making new things. My point is that if we're trying to offer it something other than being in and of darkness then this a weird way to start, because this is talking about the place of darkness in creation.
Oh, that's brilliant, actually. It tempts me to either switch or expand my vote. I'll hold off for a moment, I tend to be overly verbose and fall into purple prose, but something akin "if you dream about the world without the sun, know that such exists, and you are looking at her" is a very strong argument to open with. Because Molly is an Outsider by definition at the moment, even if no one but (some) angels seem to have realized in yet. And yet she's welcome in Creation. She expands the Reality, instead of competing with it. That might be an angle. Instead of using"Would it truly be so bad, a world without sun" is interesting because even though the FFC don't have a Sun they still conceive of an esoteric term called "Sun" that's similar to Yang. If they're being literal then we already know of a world without a sun. If they mean a total Oblivion of uncreation, well. It wouldn't be bad or good or anything at all. It simply wouldn't be
we may want to use this. If it wants a world without the sun, a realm to exist in, give it one. Expand Reality, so he doesn't need to conflict with what's already there, but can exist alongside it, and, ideally, aligned with it. Make his dream world dependent on Creation existing. Channel the Ocean's dreadful ways below into a new sort of Uncreation. Define the endless depth by the sun's light. We do have some experience making new realms of existence with the Forge.
Yeah, those are good goals. Should I switch my Crown question? I want to know what it is exactly, because some of my theories are rather worrying, but some other question might be more immediately useful. My goals would be:
Figure out if it's going to keep the watch on the ocean if we leave (and if that's doing anything important)
Figure out if it prefers Creation to total oblivion (roughly "on our side" as it were)
Figure out if the Nephilim above is guarding against Lamentations of the Void or if the Nephilim is merely crippled, blinded and hopeless (can it/he leave without risking Creation)
Figure out if visiting this place regularly will disrupt it

If my vote wins, and things go smoothly, I can definitely see myself voting for your plan next turn. It's more reckless than I usually go for, and I don't think it'll win at this point, but I'm going to vote for my own plan anyway.
Much like an animal trapped by a box propped up over some food with a stick, the bait is just too tempting for me to ignore.

In (very limited) defense of my plan, the goal isn't to do everything right now. If it actually goes well then the deal would be that it changes to become less hostile while still keeping a lid on things here, with improvements to roll out over time. Like what we did with Porter or sort of Tiffany.Yeahh I don't know about gambling with what could actually be the gatekeeper of a whole ocean of Neverborn Angst.

I don't mind figuring out the nature of the thing in front of us. I just think that what it hinted at (it being of the ocean it may be guarding, and thus not able to be corrupted by it) might be true. My goals are more about what I'm looking for out of this scene over all
My theory for that thing is goes something like this: The Ocean is a sorta-primordial / sorta Neverborn (Primordial whose concepts are entirely centered around Oblivion / Death), and the thing is its Jotun / Fetich. Only it's not fully complete / awaken / alive / formed. The Ocean is still without mind, and the Lamentations of the Void is not fully formed. Possibly sorta kinda like the quote I gave about Shadow of the Dragon before Unconquered Sun was made. Old things sleeping inside it might be Neverborn.I don't mind figuring out the nature of the thing in front of us.
