[X] Lo! Back-around steel! Learning DC 130
Legstrong: There is too much good metal that we can't use just because it's got a bit of radiation in it. Not to mention how much older equipment suffers the same fate.
Reward: Find a way to de-radiate modern steel, massive income gain from concerned parties, improved detection equipment, a hand in preserving military history, Legstrong will allow you to take the lion share of the credit but keep the majority of the income.
-[X] Counter offer (Pick Between)
--[X] Ask to receive the same amount of Income as the Government(?)

Wait do we only get one good roll or try on this? Or is it like other choices where you can get multiple chances/rolls to lower DC? Question just occurred to me

[X] Buy Weapons for the Senator. Martial DC: 55/90
Legstrong: The cowards up in DC have been a lot more vocal about how the second amendment isn't supposed to cover new weaponry, but I think if anyone can be trusted with a laser rifle, it's a good American man, wouldn't you agree?
Reward: You sell guns to the senator under the table, gaining a moderate amount of income and Legstrong has a positive opinion of you.
-[X] Accept!

Nope, if you guys don't make it this time you can try it again like any action, though without Legstrong's assistance the next time.

I mean, assuming you don't crit fail and cause a serious problem

Okey have to comment this, as this is a collab, any of those actions you take benefits him in one way or another.

I really really would recommend you guys don't pick based on "what he gains less" and more on what do you want/need most.

If you really don't want to give him *any* advantage just say nope and leave.

But as many have commented that don't trust Legstrong for some insane reason I can understand (with a Mustache like that, no way he can be a bad guy after all), seems that they want pick for what benefits him less, and that feels a bit like a waste of a collab.

Just giving my 2 cents on this.

With a moustache like that, he cannot be evil!

In all honesty, i would like having our learning slot open for researching gil (and start that tech tree for the second slot) then go for steel, at least for now, and selling him guns only takes us down a martial (much less valuable action) while granting us some valuable benefits (income for golden roads whoop whoop!)

To be honest my reasoning for going with Lo back around steel is less about not trusting Legstrong with anything else and more because it's legit something we want to do and will benefit us a great deal, and is difficult to do on our own.

We've wanted to do it since it first appeared but the DC was too high. This neatly allows us to make that action a great deal easier by having someone else help the heavy lifting. Basically, we all get something good and patriotic out of it.

Your first bracket is missing, might want to fix that so your vote gets counted

AN - Whoever would have guessed my first interlude as a QM would involve Legstrong, who is totally a different guy from Armstrong. I have also been assured by the other QMs that it is an actual mustache, it just looks like that.

Admittedly, I didn´t know you are a MGS buff - more power to you^^

Personally though, I´d named him "Senator Adam Aldrin" because A) as a reference to the slogan "Adam & Steve(n)" and B) as a juxtaposition between (Neil) Armstrong and (Buzz) Aldrin as major US heroes of the modern age

Honestly even with that I think we've got good odds on passing it. It feels like Frink's Brilliant trait would activate so before Legstrong's score we'd have something like +75 to the roll, and I think I've got an omake bonus to a Frink action available, so unless his score is really bad we'd still have good odds of success

Edit: Yup, a +10 to a Frink national action, so +85, meaning that as long as his score doesn't suck (let's assume his is 15 for arguments sake) then we pass outright on a 30. We can swing that without too much trouble imo

Yeah I definitely thought he was sending a hero. Heck in the Fusion power action he says he was going to send some guys over to help.
That was my bad for not checking in while I was "in persona" because it totally feels like Legstrong would send you some skinny dweebs to help but I forgot he's doing this particular op solo.

I mean, we can still try to churn out some omake bonuses to help with dicey actions like this one
