.... Actually, hold on a minute. Let's ignore stats for a second and look at it from New Dawn's perspective. What do you think their first impression of the current Justice Unlimited would be if we bring Maddie along. Like I mentioned in my sorta meme-y plan earlier, they'd have the impression that Justice Unlimited is in complete dire straits, more than they are, that they'd willingly bring a sickly-looking child to a meeting between heroes about the fate of this city. Kinda hard to do equal terms with that impression in mind.

Granted, if Black Swan comes along as well (under the assumption that we could bring more than one) and does a demonstration to prove herself (chances are that's a HIT check, I don't trust the dice), that would alleviate that concern just a bit.

Honestly I feel like just revealing we killed FVM, would be enough for them understand JU isnt in dire straits.
Since Killing Named Behemoths are big enough that Ete malds about Abigail killing one in 4 seasosn debuts, due to it completely overshadwoing them, along with being considered something that secured her legacy.

I wonder, if she copied a colonial organism like a manowar would she copy the whole thing or just the segment she's touching? Because if shadowpolyps can merge like the real ones do she could have a freaky modular monster for aquatic battles...or more, with sufficient bioengineering *looks at ibis*

as for the vote
Mona has the Reputation(both the thing and the stat)for an Agressive tone but morally might prefer conciliatory.

Madeline has good Reputation and Espionage but is also baby, making her prime deception material

Rhys has the morals to do Agressive but lacks the stats to back it up.

You can bring was many as you like, but the more (previously unknown) metahumans you bring, the more you're going to have to explain where they all are coming from.

I see why it came to you to ask @Wing101r if Bitterman's response gave that implication

Also finally had time to check out DNA profiles. Zeno's power is uhhh, hm, real interesting. Straight up the Infinity that Gojo is capable of. Too bad he didn't have his offensive capabilities as well. :V

I think the reason why there's red text for Matter Conversion is this:

Opinions on Medicant:
  • Nice to have a healer, even if their services require big money.
  • overall a decent metahuman in the turbulent world of heroes and villains
  • they need to touch grass some more before I even consider them and Lady Leizi

Knowing what the shield generators and Medicant's symbiotes do has made this even more valuable. It also makes me look forward to what ol' Rakeem's farewell gift to Lei would be. A simple "I love you" vid and memorabilia? An item that gives stat boosts exclusive to her? Top secret info absolutely no one must know? Possibilities are endless...

Ah, so in exchange for bringing more members into the fold and upping our overall stats, we raise the DC for certain checks (likely Espionage in this case).

That….might be worth considering. Unless there's something I'm missing, telling how we found Maddie should be fine and might give us sympathy points. It's Mona's we'd mainly have to concern over since we might get a hit of "we needed all the arms we can why didn't you bring this powerhouse over we could've saved so many more lives" blah blah blah and other sorts of objections. Compensating Black Swan's lack of discreetness with Leizi's and Maddie's might be worth bringing the latter over.

Thoughts @LucidProp ?

Thinking on it, I think adding Maddie isn't much of a problem. Sure, it raises the DC, but it shouldn't be too high because explaining Maddie's presence is pretty easy. We saved her during Black Swan's debut in the Worker's Mitt. We don't even need to cover anything up because it's true and Maddie didn't get her powers from Ambrosia.

It would also make narrative sense to bring her, since she was a victim of the Prince, a former Wonderland inmate. Might even help with the negotiations since it was New Dawn's failure that led to Maddie's suffering, and Maddie can vouch for Lady Leizi doing her utmost to save her even if it risked her death.

The main problem is probably with Black Swan, but we have a pretty solid cover story for her already. We didn't bring her to fight Leviathan because her training was incomplete and her powers destructive enough that she could have been a liability instead of a boon. Wouldn't want her to accidentally shoot a blackhole near a bunch of allies after all.

-[X] Conciliatory. You two have been the premier heroic organizations in Horizon for the last ten years, and the bad blood between has been ridiculous. You won't be a pushover, but you will do all you can to emphasize you're all on the same team.

We're leaving Handyman back at home though. Give Rhys time to heal since he was the most injured out of all of us, and while we have an easy cover story for him thanks to the nature of his powers and his history as Lady Leizi's spy (He was fighting during the Movement, but he was unrecognizable because he was shapeshifting and laying low), I want him at peak performance for the ambush.

He could touch an inanimate object and then "watch" everything that happened within a five-foot radius of the object in the last 24 hours. He was particularly beloved by those suing corporations and was a frequent collaborator with Lady Leizi. Unfortunately, his talents brought him the wrong kind of attention and he was murdered in an attack by the Demon Flamez.

Henry is Operations spec so I think Powers that boost his Operation like Memoria boosted by Hunchs clairvoyance is better.
That said were getting more dna from new dawn and maybe 4 seasons so probably better to wait and see if theres a better combo we can get.

Bringing two heroes feels like we're nervous and also we're revealing our hand too early. Let them wonder about our shadow caster in the background, we've got one of the strongest metahumans in town on our side.

I am not exactly sure we shouldn't just bring Handyman instead of MM. Between LL, handyman and Mona we should have enough stats to avoid confrotation.

we need ploperstions check and hanyman is harder to explain where he came from even if his espionage should still let him bypass scrutiny

More importantly we need handyman out of this mission for him to heal 2hp for full health in meating the 4 seasons which we know is a trap by them and probably powers.
