I'm starting to see a pattern in this quest where when we roll, everyone's in despair, then we get the update and everyone's hyped and full of ideas but then we roll the next turn and fall into despair again.

"WE'RE SO BACK" and "IT'S NEVER BEEN MORE OVER" should be the official taglines of this quest. :V

I say we focus (some of) our attention on finding newer and better candidates next because I don't want our brainstormed synergy to go to one unworthy of it due to them being the only candidate left (due to us not bothering to find better candidates).

This isn't even including the headhunting we have to do to find a candidate for ExceedBeyond. I'd rather pick the perfect candidate with zero power and up that to 10 than waste it on an asshole just because they have 10 or close to it power potency.

Ngl, with the rolling history of this quest I feel like the first time we try that we will blow the Espionage check despite it being super easy?

Thats fine and cenotaph does seem more attractive now since it lets us get candidates without an espionage chack.
Im still having john becoming meta next turn if wet our emergency ambrosia since it changes the OID questline.

Handyman instead, we don't usually place Leizi in combat situation so that matters less? (Otherwise at this rate Handyman will be dead before like Issue 5 or something, and then there goes our Ambrosia dose)
this meeting with Wolong means LL may be in danger. That, and New Dawn might just be gunning for her personally because she's the last grudge target alive.

All in favor of our two most defensively fragile members, Leizi and Witch, getting one shield generator each?
For the ambush with 4 Seasons, I'd actually like to give it to Handyman and Leizi. Mainly, because we probably want Handyman to impersonate Leizi during the ambush. He can take hits better so he's our best option for triggering the ambush. Considering Gwen and Scarlet Maturity will be trying to end Justice Unlimited, they'll likely prioritize killing Lady Leizi too.

Mendicant will sell you a healing symbiote at a rate of 3000 Income per symbiote. Any character whom a healing symbiote is used on will recover all injury levels over the course of one scene.
Also like I know this is suppose to be a super good reward, but when I stare at our current income and ways to get more income it feels like something useless to us? (Especially when this is competing with A Spoonful of Sugar...)

It'll probably get better when we have more heroes and more stable income from contracts and sponsors. Right now, it's a nice-to-have. We'll get some free ones from Rakeem's stash that should cover short-term needs.

Injury levels give maluses to our rolls, so this is actually pretty strong considering how often we get injured. Expensive, sure, but we were never going to have the funds for Spoonful every turn to reliably hit Tolerance 10 with candidates that only have 4-7 Tolerance.

Also, why is Matter Conversion in red?
Looking at Apiary's profile...I'm guessing that Matter Conversion in red means that it's considered a massive issue? Like, what's-her-face, Novalight, she basically considered Apiary a monster because of her power, and even Ibis noted that Scarlet Maturity may have done the world a favor by killing Apiary.

So I'm guessing that powers in red are/manifest in ways that the general public would be very uncomfortable with, or as potential existential threats or something.

You two drift back into silence."

"So . . . you doing anything later or . . .?"

"Not interested at the moment, unfortunately."

"Got it! Got it. Boundary set! I respect that."

"I didn't say never," you say smirking at them over your sunglasses, "Now is just not the time. Too much to do. Too much to fix. You're welcome to try again at another time, however, if you believe you can handle me."

"Why are you so hot?!"
Almost forgot to say but, Leizi swings all ways.

Well, men and NBs, at least. No data on women yet.
