[X] Tell him NO

Look. It kinda pains me, I want the loyalty and I very much don't care for this grunt of a guppy's continued existence but I neither want the kids to associate us with that not will this POS escape justice. He's a mutated ex-member of the military yeah? I very much doubt the US Military will love finding out he participated in the effective enslavement of children.

Oh yeah the military will do something way worse than Tony can do.

Here are the votes the arts center is unsurprisingly in the lead with the fate of the goon we beat tied between letting him be dealt with with the police or letting fat Tony kill him

I made my stance already on this, but we shouldn't kill him, I don't want us to become another Mr. Burns

Edit:never mind of the tie it's now giving the goon mercy in the lead with one vote

People unsurprisingly want the death of the horrible fishman who was part of an operation enslaving children with shock collars and generally treating them like shit. Reminds me of those real life conversion camps pure evil bastards keep making and hiding because they know everyone would be horrified if they knew of them.

I don't feel too invested in ensuring his death but neither do I feel invested in declaring he must live for now, therefore I abstain. Might be he's brainwashed through his fishification but no evidence about it, just a suspicion it's a possibility.

Before I call it a night, I just want to say that catxfighter's comment about not wanting to be another Mr Burns is a good one, after all Burns' willingness to do whatever he wants and to hell with the law is definitely one reason why Springfield hates him. By choosing to let the law handle him, we're saying that we're not going to go down that road. Because if we do go down that path, I can easily see it being easier to justify every time. Or we can choose to be better than that, to rise above Burns and other rich assholes who wake up and decide that other people's lives matter less than their desires.

In addition, while some of our team here would certainly be okay with this guy just dying, we have at least a few hero units who would be appalled if we let it happen, Flanders especially, but I doubt Mona would be thrilled about it either. And we are trying to mend things with her. Why not prove to her that we're better than the miserable old coot that we were before? Not to mention any heroically inclined heroes we get later will, if they find out, not be happy with such a choice.

It's also worth noting that Tony is explicitly asking us for permission to off him. He's not sneaking off to do it of his own initiative, he's asking his boss. Since it's a vote, that means that even if he isn't thrilled by our answer, he will accept it. And I want to encourage that in him, show him that not every problem needs to be solved with a guy being whacked.

We have a chance here to make it clear to our subordinates just what Abraham Simpson stands for. Are we going to be the same kind of person we've always been, the kind whose actions led to his son and family not wanting to speak with him for months on end, or are we going to try and set a better example, a true Grandpa to Springfield?

One final point, because of a canon omake I wrote previously, there is one other person who will know what we do here, and that's Santa Claus himself. Ask yourself, will Jolly Old Saint Nick be happy with us if we choose to end a man's life out of vengeance?

Oh I misread the post. Yeah, we can also beat the hell out of Mr Black to work off any residual anger we have going on. And judging by the fact that Whiteman implied Black was responsible for his new form, we may be able to work off a good amount of anger before he drops!

Before we ask him, how the hell did he turn the guy into a Fishman?

Because clearly whoever did that for Mr. Black is someone's financing him And if we pull on that thread, we'll find out the scientist who did it or backer.

[X] Mr Black's office

[X] Give him the Go Ahead.

I know mr.black's vote will not win but i want to give tony his pound of flesh, the rest of the guards can be given to the rest of the parents

Oh dont misunderstand this as a mercy. Nor should killing our foe be seen as immediately a terrible act. Abe's soldiering means that is a strength in his corner not every other hero unit has.

I very, very genuinely doubt he'll survive the after effects of all this unless he escapes literally as soon as we turn our back and Abe knows that.

Yeah, and thank you for calling my thing about not wanting to be a Mr. Burns a good argument to not to kill the goon

I still have questions for Mr. Black about how his man is now a fish guy and how long has his operation been in order and is there anyone financing it or is it just him?
People keep mentioning the pound of flesh, why does that matter? Our kids are safe, and at this point it seems like a decent bet that anyone involved with this whole mess will be seeing some serious prison time, at minimum.

Honestly at this point I'm starting to regret adding Tony to this adventure. If I had a chance to go back in time and change it I'd definitely put him somewhere else, this entire line of conversation is very disheartening.

And the vote is tied again with the goon.

I have repeated my stance on this but I have one final question to ask you who voted to ice this unimportant thug

Is this random thug really worth to kill? In the future if we have another vote like this about killing a person presumably in the future what justification are we going to say he's a bad person? they sell drugs to kids?

What point do we draw the line?

Thank you for reading this and I hope I did make you reconsider your vote I'm going to bed now but I just want you to think of for the night

Good night and uh I just want to show Mercy because in the world of villains victorious the heroes had no mercy given by the villains who won. I just wanted to show a small speck of mercy in the world of masquerades and just bad stuff in general. That we don't have to play by the worlds rule,by the kings rule.
