[X] The Moon

Dad seems like the best balance of "in agreement with X" and knowledge, especially with Earth's identity still unknown. Time for that child support old man!

I'm really curious about what Earth might be, I can't make sense of it. Is it something subtle like the Earth being where the River resides, or another parent-child relationship like with the Sun and Moon and the Stars?

By the way, @Lepidoptera, wanted to ask:
How could she say it? But X didn't need her to finish. The Manager of Lobotomy Corporation's eyes widened almost imperceptibly for a moment before narrowing in contemplation. When she had found her conclusion, she reached back and placed a hand on Homura's head.

"I can't explain right now. Just trust me that everything will be okay, alright?"

What conclusion did X reach here?

After all, she is the character we control, it only make sense we know what she's thinking.

[X] The Earth

Mostly voting for this option out of curiosity. Current best guess is that the Sun is Carmen, the Moon is Ayin and the Earth is... Angela? Or maybe X, though given the reference to "In the Light" I think it's less likely. The Moon would be my second choice.

The real question is who the Stars are. Kyuubey(s) may be a good fit, but frankly the concept of the Light seems antithetical to them. Maybe it's another Distortion or something? I don't know enough about the ProjectMoon side to speculate.

Regardless, getting a potentially new perspective should be interesting. Cheers Lepidoptera, looking forward to what comes next!

Madoka was already on the verge of distorting before she died, as indicated by her text changing color.
Actually she had that text color earlier on as well, before the Adult business, it was the final line of a side story if I remember properly. Unless The Stars is referring to the tarot card, which is highly unlikely, given that the Earth isn't one of those, then it is probably more than one person, and not Madoka. Really though I would be fine with Ayin, and while I think that the people most likely to be Earth are both generally good picks and I do kinda want to see what happens that way. Carmen just seems like a bad idea to be honest.

Edit:
"Maybe you're right. But if I'm not going to give up on my own life, then you can't either. Because I think you deserve a chance to choose what you're going to do just as much as I do."

Side story 13 about halfway through, it's roughly the same font color by the end of the most resent one.

"Homura, wait, please, I don't want you to-!"

Also given that information about this vote it's Madoka, and I was just overthinking.

The adult is going to learn a hard lesson
X is a perfectionist and will move mountains in the name of that future they hold so dear
And there is no room for them in Xs future due to their actions
If it thought that the warm hearted woodsman was a traumatic experience it has yet seen X going full throttle

That Madoka is probably not dead and that there are Light/Distortion shenanigans involved.

*Looks at rhe page of agnus principle having clones shenanigans, looks back*

I see.

(For those that wants a reminder of what I'm talking about:
Protean: When HP reaches 0, divide into Satellites at the end of the Scene. Satellites share this Character's Emotion Level. After one of the Satellites has been defeated, recombine with the others at the end of the Scene. That Satellite remains separate for the duration of the Phase.

If all five Satellites are already present when HP reaches 0, proceed to the next Phase.

It didn't hurt, and Homura hadn't expected it to. She had given up on her own survival long before becoming a Distortion. Suffering injuries was to be avoided because it held a cost, not because Homura's pain mattered. Now that pain was gone entirely. Only the success it bought remained.
based based based based based based

Unfortunately for it, Homura had too little time left for that. The Wizard would need to make those next few minutes count.
See, Homura's too nice to even think about something like this, but the Wizard would definitely turn that key just to prolong her victim's lifespan.
