Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

[X] Why should the doors stay closed when there is so much wrong in the world, why should heroes sleep until the end of days? Offer to walk to the gate and break it with brass that all will be free to range as they will

Free them, slay them, whatever.

Eternal prisons are bullshit and should be broken on principle.
In general, agreed. I highly favor this. But we should learn more first.

@DragonParadox can I ask some questions about the prisoners without requiring an update? The qurstions are:
1) Are the prisoners alive or dead (ghosts)?
2) Are they conscious or not?
3) Would it be permissible to visit them?

  1. They passed still living into the Underworld seeking the treasures of Arawn that they might revive Arthur though his time had come, his fate was sealed. They stole the Cauldron of Rebirth but before they could use it the hounds and the armies of Arawn fell upon them and dragged them and it back. After all these years in the depths of the spirit world it is unlikely that any of them could walk the earth just by wishing it but they are heroes of old, the blood of gods in their veins. If they are freed they will find a way,
  2. They hounds do not know, they have never tried speaking to them
  3. Same as above

Honestly, I'm starting to think that the only reason they're sitting there is because othens don't want the status quo to explode. Because it's a pretty standard quest.

Come on, no one wants to unleash ancient Brythonic demigods onto the modern world? Just think of the klaxons that would sound in the Hidden Halls of Edinburgh? The Council might not even remember what those are for. :V

Seriously though, that is some backup you guys can get against the likes of the Black Council and Nemesis, assuming you can keep it under control and... deal with the fallout.
Yes, it's keeping them under control and dealing with the consequences of my problems. For example, I doubt that the White Council will be happy with the release of a former hero king who will certainly want to control the area where their base is or even that England itself, a country with nuclear weapons and a desire to defend itself, will find it grace of the same from a person who certainly won't care about the Masquerade.

Forgetting of course that all these spirit dogs, which are the objective for which we came and which we do not want to kill, are sworn to prevent precisely this and will do everything to stop us.

Bad idea, bad idea, bad idea.

Fuck Arthur, this arc should be one of rest and not another escalation race.

Just a small note, if you choose to reinforce the door now you will know where it is so if you want to break it later... ;)

Any choice beside just taking some hounds leaves you with the option of breaking the door.

I've never been the fan of the idea of eternal prison or basically eternal prison, so let's see how this goes.
[X] Learn more. Why should the heroes of the land be barred from returning? Whose will is it that bids them to be bound? What consequences of their return
-[X] Etiquette excellency
-[X] Use the Crown on the current scene to find what the prisoners are planning to do if they are freed
-[X] Lydia uses Akashic Root Methodology to learn more about the prisoners

-[X] Stunt: Upon your brow, the marking of your crown manifests, as you stand straighter, the regal bearing not of a princess still seeking her kingdom, but an Empress who found hers: "You say that you fuard them until the turning of the world? Then hear me, o faithful guardians, and know my words to be true : The Wheel Turns. Your duty is coming to an end. So let us enter the prison you guard, so the world can get four more heroes ensuring that the next Age will not be one of Ruin"

To those who voted fore by name, pleas copy the vote itself, as I changed mine. Because I feel that the world can use more heroes.

Let's flip the table! I am sure absolutely nothing can go wrong with this. But also, things seem to be heating up. And hero's while they may be assholes are generally good at accomplishing grand things, that most of those things happen to be good as a happy coincidence.

Remember that Arthur was once a Knight of the Cross. Amoracchius was Excalibur.

When opening Sealing Cans of Whoopass, hastiness is a very bad idea.

This will be three for three. Everytime we leave Chicago something major plot wise will happen. There is no downtime Arc if it isnt in Chicago. Just something to be aware of, this seems to be consistent.

Since I don't want to fight any Exalted with Daniel anywhere in proximity I'll vote to use the Crown and see if we can get motives at least before doing something that can't be undone.

Though releasing Arthur in specific sounds like it may threaten the Masquerade. I can't imagine they won't get involved with Britain on a political level but it's hard to say since we don't have motives.

The hounds turned and spoke one with another, in no language you or even Lydia could speak. Some there were who wished to take her bargain and they would not be dissuaded but the others did not know what would happen if the guard was lessened on those who sought to steal for Arthur the secret of Immortality.
A terrestrial equivalent then, since he needed immortality given to him. In base ExWoD they live millennia, and in the quest solaroids can actually live forever baseline.

Even if he isn't actually exalted, Arthur is probably in that weight class, being one of the mythic figures the exalted were based on out of character.
Why? King of one island isn't really that impressive just because he has a large cultural impact. McDonald's has better brand recognition than Christ and that doesn't automatically make them in the white god's weight class.
I don't care.

I'm in a mood to upset the setting, wether by raising King Arthur or nuking the Red Court.
We were just told he'd pop out and try to conquer England again. Shaking things up for the sake of shaking things up is pointlessly destructive.

Does name recognition really earn Arthur the right to make an attempt at becoming an immortal tyrant? Sure hope the Brits are cool with actually medieval law again, cause that's his cultural background even if he was supposed to be a good guy within it.
