[X] No one, smug and mysterious is a good tactic when you just overturned the order of things, at least according to Tiffany
Is there a reason not to do all of them? And alternatively, if we pick none can we just tell people once we're back in the states?
Depends on what leg up means in this context. I was thinking in the sense of an opportunity to mess with them. For example; reporting a mix of the truth and unfalsifiable lies that we aren't around to discredit so that the validation of the probably correct stuff biases people to believing whatever they're claiming. That and/or simply make claims about the motives behind our actions and secretiveness to stoke paranoia. The point being to harm relations with us as much as possible.A bit much there. Learning that we attacked the Wicked City first isn't going to give the traitors a leg up on the White Council.
Offhand why do we care if it spreads? Mikaboshi 100% knows it was us who did this and if he doesn't now he will in a couple hours. What we did will eventually become known to all interested, relevant parties. That's unavoidable. But by telling anyone about it now, we hasten the spread of that information unnecessarily. The longer it takes to become common knowledge, relatively speaking, the more time we have to get other shit done before having to deal with repercussions.
No, you are mis-remembering.It happened that way because they were under time pressure and didn't have a firm angle till relatively late in the game. Going after him cold shouldn't go the same way, especially since we can help once he's validated the situation.
The LoC has no business here, and no influence here.[X] Library of Congress. They would probably want to know of the retaliation you carried out against MIkaboshi

There is still a huge difference between a well-prepared Wizard and one who doesn't know what to expect. No, you are mis-remembering.
Dresden had the time to alert Blackstaff McCoy; McCoy and Ramirez had the time to search his quarters and find corroborating physical evidence, so it wasnt just Dresden's accusation. He had zero prior warning that they were coming after him; the trial was for Morgan, before Dresden pulled the Uno Reverse card and blindsided Peabody.
And the man still had an Outsider to deploy, even when taken by surprise.
This is different. I dont see much chance where Molly could get to see him/get into the Hidden Halls without twigging him that something is up. She's gotten enough of a reputation as a wrecking ball that any Nephandi-type who has to meet her will be in full paranoia mode. He wont just have a single mistwalker in a bottle.
1) Yes. Giving the Nephandi wizard with decades knowledge and experience of the White Council anything resembling warning will result in a worse outcome than the 50 wizards who died in canon. There is still a huge difference between a well-prepared Wizard and one who doesn't know what to expect.
Ebenezer being surprised that the spy had a deadly surprise in council is unfortunate.
Ebenezer setting out to kill a Nemesis-puppet would likely murder Peabody before he has any chance to act.
In sense of "blast his house and hit him with full force if he manages to stumble out of the ruins".
The problem has always been parallel construction and believability to hide the crown of eyes.Do we know about Peabody, like by name?
Then give the name to Ebenezer and let him settle matters, as it is his job.
Fighting some mid-tier old wizard is neither fun, nor a challenge for Molly, and containing the intrigue-side of things is not her job, the Council can do that better themselves.
We know he is a traitor. We dont know how or why he is a traitor, or what he has done. What plots he has in motion.Do we know about Peabody, like by name?

Wait what potential gate? The local Wu have their own reasons to keep Yama Kings out of their territory, so letting them know of a potential gate in Dacca seems like a good idea.
Its protects both them and the mortal civilians.
