Also, do we have any Choirs on the scene that we could use to do Astropath Messages? We should probably make sure the rest of the Glimmering Federation is on the way...

So yeah, dunno if, "The reset of the Glimmering Federation is immediately told about this" is automatic, but presumably there would be requests/orders to mount up all the mobile units and head to Itani... not that it'd happen in time to interfere in the coming space battle immediately, but...

Uh... Any chance to have some contingencies for diplomacy?
Absolutely get all hands on battlestations and as much force to support as possible, but maybe have orders that allow a ship to stay at max range to send any messages they may have (and internally: have the next choir relay them to the councils).


Yeah, if they are full empire in ideology they aren't gonna take such a chance, but it would be the Candlekeeper thing to do to give such chances as long as it doesn't make us more vulnerable.

Frankly, if actual Diplomacy happens, that'll probably be a turn break. If they claim to be doing diplomacy but are still closing in, that's basically a "Smiling while you're hiding a knife behind your back." We can talk when they're at the Mandeville point and not on approach.
 
Okay, quick question: What's cyberwarfare in 40K like?

Could we have our tech priests make some viruses or some shit to flood the Neon ships' systems with? I'm sure we could at least borrow a couple pop-up ad viruses from the Yeeni to use against the Neon ships.

. . . strange, we get half a SAG every turn in manpower from each planet for the first 5 turns (and 75% of a SAG every turn after that)? were do we assign them?
are they in a waiting pool that where we equip and train into our units?
like do we have several million bums just sitting in a room waiting for their training? what are they doing, are they employed elsewhere while we delay their training?

They shouldn't really have the material to set up a FOB on a Hostile World. They don't have all the stuff we have that makes it only an AP cost, which means that's probably outside the scope of what they can do.

And the warning is "Get the fuck out of our system", not "Get the fuck away from our planet."
 
This is definitely a recon in force in preparation for sending the rest of their task force in. Definitely need to redeploy Task Force Alpha to Itani.
