Huh.

How's "Design Aesthetic" work though? Are we locking one in with that choice, or is it more "We actually understand shipbuilding well enough that we're not making the usual Gothic Cathedrals In Space or sharp pointy triangle shooties?"
I imagine Design Aesthetic I'd going to be our ships obviously look different from the Imperiums at even a casual glance. Hell it might even look more like Xeno ships given how we got the tech. Will cause obvious issues but well outnumbering the enemy solves many sins

[X][Iconoclast] Crew Protections
[X][Kil'drabi Protectorate] Design and Production Rationalization

Either one i'll be happy with

I am also afraid to ask what the average life expectancy was before we got medical services 40 years? but hurrah! Did not realize how bad the medical situation was very happy we got that squared away and got semi functioning healthcare happening. We prob have one of the highest life expectancy in the galaxy(for humans) hurrah!

also Kil'drabi or Iconoclast for me cause going brrr on ships is very helpful and the latter fit with our quailty thing we have been going for in our millitarty

That is how your ships look, and you can choose Imperial - High/Plain, Mechanicum - High/Plain, Ministorum - High/Plain, Functional, and Tall White with the Kil'drabi. The aesthetic decides how Imperial Humanity first treats you when they encounter you, as well as when they realize that you aren't Imperials.

Going into a Mechanicum station looking like the Mechanicum will make initial diplomacy easy, but the second they grok onto you not being Mechanicum they will get hostile. Choosing a Non-Imperial look will get you intense scrutiny, but you'll be able to perform diplomacy with Non-Imperial Polities far easier in exchange. (Like Eldar, Non-Imperial Humans, Minor Xenos, etc.)

Yeah, about at that level.

our people are likely living on refugee camps conditions

oof,we should try get them up to level 2 (shitty poor house)

[X][Kil'drabi Protectorate] Design and Production Rationalization

Either of these options are my preferred choices with the logistic tech being my favorite. The ability to make a higher tiered ship twice as fast can be a huge game changer especially when those bigger threats start appearing. We can invest less time in warship production later on with the option or make more stuff with the same time investment.

Though I wouldn't mind much if that crew based option won as more notable/potentially better naval leaders could increase the effectiveness of our forces in campaigns by the mere fact there are more people who are able to use them better. Experience and Skill can make even an older ship still competitive after all though that probably isn't a good saying for this setting as most of the best designs are ancient...

astounding 60 years of service
Dang, if I'd known that I would a pushed for medical sooner. Think I'll do that till we last for 100 minimum.

Top picks:
Kil'drabi Protectorate] Design and Production Rationalization
Missile Swarms - Tripples all missiles fired by a missile weapon.
Improved Armor - Increases toughness and resistance against enemy fire.
Can we get bonuses for Omakes?
