I've wanted to go to the high energy desert for a while. Not allowing others to "peek" at us would make feel a lot safer. The fact that it would help with diminishing resources is only the icing on the cake. I really don't want to delay this much longer.

Wait, I'd like to point out to everyone that we're canonically running out of copper, and the High Energy desert has copper. Like, our entire industrial process is going to be grinding to a halt if we don't take that. That doesn't mean you have to vote for my plan, but please vote for a plan that keeps that in mind!

Some people here want to get our copper shortage dealt with
Others want to make sure that ticking time bomb that is the Lord of Change don't take us out when it finally goes off.
All of us want to soothe the Psykana experiments.
This plan tries to appeal to all sides. As we consecrate our newly claimed territory do that the Lord of Change can't touch us, while we meet up with the Desert people to secure some copper, and the 5 Experiments are pacified.

we are running low on copper not running out, and since the damage control plan is not taking any building actions we will be fine on copper for one more turn
But it hasn't gotten bad enough to be pointed out in chapter about needing to be on that yet hasn't it?

TBF it might take more than one action to set up mines to extract the copper from the desert planet so maybe waiting until it's becoming an issue might have problems.
I mean that means the second leading plan has a higher chance of us running out of copper then since it also building civilian infrastruture at the same time which would require copper to build/produce the stuff it would produce
@HeroCooky have the cooks of the station done the unthinkable and tried to add salt to there food?

C'mon guys, we need to get our shit together and get that copper. Chaos can be scary, but if we don't fix our problem of running low on key metals we're screwed regardless of our faith. Don't let your fear cloud your judgement.
if we were screwed if we didn't get copper this turn we would have received some in game text warning us

For now it says, with the implication that we'll be running into shortages soon. Right now, that is the more pressing matter and I don't want to risk this taking more time that we thought by putting it off to the last minute.
