Molly has reason to want minimal mental influence of any direct sort. Especially if it were about directly altering people's feelings about something. GYTB is almost what she did turned into a charm.

Her interest in Dresden is a complicated thing, and she hasn't resolved to something other than being a Denarian yet if she ever will.
Telling the truth doesn't make her trustworthy in the least, manipulating with the truth isn't a novel idea to say the least.
You're making the critical assumption that she wants to work with us on the things we want to do and cares for them in a way similar to how Moly would.
Lash isn't a prisoner looking to get out as far as she is concerned, she's here on purpose to support the Fallen's cause because she wants to.
Nothing she says or does to convince us on this point can be trusted on its face, nor can any actual good will from her be taken as anything but a tool to manipulate her audience.
That's what she is, what she was made for. It's not fair, but it is true. You're letting an image of what you want overwrite the reality of what Lash actually is.
You're making a lot of assumptions about her motives, desires, and opinions on things.
She is formed from the mind of someone who was willing to fist fight god impressed on the essence of Harry Dresden. Being afraid of risking her life isn't exactly in her spiritual dna.
We have no way to know how far along her development of her own identity is yet, how she'll react to things or develop as a person. This is pure speculation and it would take very little deviation to make this a problem for us.
That's all dismissing a crucial piece of evidence, mainly her trying to manifest in FCF, and then assuming that she needs to be "good" or whatever to be able for us to usefully cooperate with her.
She tried to manifest in the Molly's place of power in the presence of the Knight of the Cross, who is fond of her host, and in the presence of his daughter who is also fond of her host, forgoing any possible protections of her being bound inside to Harry meaning she can't be damaged without damaging him.
The ultimate goal of the Knights is to protect mortals from the Fallen, including hosts and full Denarians. No protections for the Fallen. Yeah, the Knight in question has no sword, but his daughter who supports his goals is right here, in her place of power in her overpowered form, and she can soulkill. And Lash knows all of this, in fact it was her who connected the dots of the Will of Kakuri being destroyed permanently for Harry when Molly told everyone that the Will is "dead-dead".
So why would she manifest herself, forgoing her only protection and subjecting herself to the any degree of the risk of final death? With Michal and Molly present and having compelling reasons to utterly finally end her, to repay sacrifice of the saviour of their son/brother by getting him rid of the damage he suffered while performing this act of saving.
The only remotely plausible answer is to cooperate to some degree.
She can't overpower Molly and she knows it, she has seen her fights and their aftermaths through Harry's eyes. She can't influence her mind, she was witness to Molly's fight with outsider beasts and subsequent mind influence test from Ebenezer. She can't meaningfully do anything in opposition to Molly or Molly's without getting soulkilled in return.
And we should not baselessly surmise that there surely must be something she could do, in a suicidal gambit at that, without DF canon or quest canon evidence. She is only a fraction of Lasciel who as far as I know doesn't have anything or any abilities like that, and even socially-faced fraction as opposed to anything else, like Uriel explicitly told us. Positing such things without evidence would be unfounded paranoia and doom-posting.
Oh, and as an aside I just remembered there was some tidbit from DF canon that Lasciel in particular was the odd one amongst the Fallen, always doing her own thing. That's another reason why Lash wouldn't follow some nebulous Fallen agenda, she would always do what she wants first.
Please don't mischaracterize what I mean by "cooperating" here, I mean that as in doing mutually beneficial agreed before upon actions, or even simple quid pro quo, not as her being aligned to us out of the goodness of her heart or some sort of significant overlap in goals and values. With parties trusting each other to do agreed upon thing due to self-interest and having means to check fidelity of communications and actions, as Molly can do with the Crown, not due to some intrinsic trustworthyness of the parties.
My argument is not based on assumptions, I make reasonable inferences relying on quest-canon evidence. If you would like to dismiss that, please point out where I was wrong in base facts and/or in my reasoning.
The core of the argument is as follows:
Lash trying to manifest, while in that particular situation and knowing all things she knows, shows that she is not opposed to cooperation, as per reasoning above.
And we already cooperated with her, in a particular way, at the start of the quest, to Molly's benefit.
And we can do it again and again, Molly's abilities to enforce beneficience of the cooperation has only grown and would continue to do so, incentivising Lash to cooperate along and to not pose problems more and more.
So we should do that, done right cooperation would be good in general and for Harry in particular.
And we would like her out of Harry's soul, so we should talk about that.
Incidentally, @DragonParadox, Molly witnessed first-hand Ebenezer performing Laws-of-Magic-breaking actions on her, and in the presence of witnesses, Michael and Harry in that, trying to influence/invade her mind to check her mental defenses after confrontation with outsider beasts. And without repercussions for him as far as she knows.
Given that, wouldn't it be reasonable for her to assume that some White Council members, Ebenezer at the least, are giving dispensation to break the laws, and presumably are somehow shielded from negative effects of such law breaking?
This is in relation to her thinking on how could Casaverde possibly could happen, when the only reason she could come up with was intentional wizard self-sacrifice:
Had some wizard chosen to use black magic and then allowed themselves to be executed as a means of getting rid of Arianna's husband? It's not as though the council has a lot of people even able to pull that off from what you had understood, but if they blow against the Red Court was bad enough maybe... Someone who was sick, dying or under a curse maybe.

He had our permission and also he didn't actually get to break any laws, just see if it was theoretically possible against our defenses.
That's not quite the same.
If we want to redeem Lash, then I'd probably suggest leaving her in Harry, and being there by his side while his nature and choices influence her. It would also probably be Harry's choice outside of sealing her away or destroying her. His sense of responsibility is unlikely to lend itself to him being okay with her being unleashed in any way before he's already been convinced of her turn around.
I disagree. She wouldn't need us to be sympathetic. She would just need to make herself look more like someone that he can't just isolate off from everything else. Harry's first and main strategy for resisting her was to lock her away deep down inside and refusing to interact with her. Her interacting with the world on her own rather than through him makes her less of something that he'd be comfortable taking that approach with, and paints her more as a person rather than just a personal shoulder-devil. It all gives her more wiggle room and leverage in twisting him.
That's an interesting thought. Lash did imitate a human for Harry before through controlled hallucinations. Her manifesting physically could be an attempt to make Harry unable to remain in our court in order to isolate him from us. I haven't considered this.
Lash has been separated from the main entity of Lasciel, but she was still a version thereof. A manipulative deceiver with untold experience. Don't give her the benefit of the doubt until she has earned it.
You are constantly shifting goalposts back and forth between USA (federal, I think) legal age of maturity and scientific maturity (where the physical maturation of the organism finishes). Pick one, will you? Because the arguments against both are different. For legal thing - USA legality has no bearing on what is going on in supernatural world. Biological argument was refuted already.
A mature for their age 16 year old is no different than a slightly less mature for their age 18 years old. "he's too young" argument really doesn't hold any water.
-You were the person who introduced the Wikipedia article demonstrating 49 out of 50 European countries, and the vast majority of countries worldwide, wont recruit 16-year olds into their militaries.
Ok, so, let's address this:
1) The age issue. He's 16. 16 is not 12 or even 14. At 16 many people around the world (not USA in most states, yes, but the world) join the workforce (end of compulsory education in France, Germany, Italy, Russia and many others is 16), or enlist into the army (Canada and Britain with parental consent, if we are not using Bangladesh and the like). He has shown maturity in recognizing he has issues, and trying to work on them. His solution is "work to acquire power not to be left behind" instead of "make peace with being a lowly mortal", but that's a choice worthy of respect.
2) The "he doesn't understand what he is asking for". Maybe. So what? People can, in fact, retire from the good fight. Let him try.
3) The "it's better to use resources on someone else" argument (not sure it was made, but it's there). It's not. We can trust Daniel implicitely, his power levels don't matter - we can compensate for those. And, from the utilitarian perspective, it strengthens our connection to Lydia.
You were also the one making biological maturity determinations here IIRC.
So what are you complaining about?
-In the supernatural world?
The one where Dresden was explicitly described as the youngest full wizard on the White Council at the age of 27?
Summer Knight said:
The Gatekeeper shrugged. "Then perhaps their fears are more justified than your affection, Wizard McCoy. We may indeed conclude that his appointment to full Wizard Initiate may have been premature." "All or nothing?" Ebenezar demanded. "Is that it? You expect the youngest wizard in the Council to get the best of Queen Mab somehow? Mab? That's not a Trial. It's a goddamned execution. How is he even supposed to know what her request was to begin with?"
I stood up, my legs shaking a little. "Ebenezar," I said.
"How the hell is the boy supposed to know what she wants?"
"Ebenezar—"
"I'm not going to stand by while you—" He abruptly blinked and looked at me. So did everyone else.
"I know what Mab wants," I said. "She approached me earlier today, sir. She asked me to investigate something for her. I turned her down."
"Hell's bells," Ebenezar breathed. He took the blue bandanna from his pocket and mopped at his gleaming forehead. "Hoss, this is out of your depth."
"Looks like it's sink or swim, then," I said.
The White Council was giving 16-year old apprentices combat magic lessons during the Vampire War, but that was only after they lost most of their soldiers during Dead Beat.
And it was training, not enlistment.
While 16 is old enough to make supernatural deals, as demonstrated by both Dresden and Sanya, the quality of the deals they actually make at that age demonstrates the lack of maturity teens of that age exhibit is no different from those of RL teens.
-There is typically a vast gulf of life experience between years at that stage of life; a one or two year gap in your teens can be more significant than a ten year gap in adults.
If anyone said that a sixteen year old was mature for their age as justification for their dating someone in their twenties, they would be rightfully roasted today. I fail to see why you think we should apply less rigorous standards to far more permanent life decisions; you dont get doovers on relinquishing a divine blessing or killing people.
And this is not even an in extremis situation at that; he cant claim any sort of urgency, or that he's needed.
-No, you dont get to make that assumption.
Daniel is not a mature for his age 16 year old; I dont know where you got that idea.
Molly is canonically a cooler head than he is, as per Hope in Proven Guilty; its almost literally the first thing the kid says when she sees Molly again:
I told the cabby to keep the meter running and headed for the Carpenters' front door. Molly remained cool, distant, and untouchably silent all the way over the small lawn. She walked calmly up the steps to the porch. She faced the door calmly-and then broke out into a sweat the moment I rang the bell.
Nice to know I wasn't the only one. I wasn't looking forward to speaking with Michael. As long as I kept the conversation brief and didn't get too close to him, he might not sense the presence of the demon inside me. Things might work out.
My already sore head twinged a little more.
Beside me, Molly rolled her shoulders in a few jerky motions and pushed at her hair in fitful little gestures. She tugged at her well-tattered skirts, and grimaced at her boots. "Can you see if there's any mud on them?"
I paused to consider her for a second. Then I said, "You have two tattoos showing right now, and you probably used a fake ID to get them. Your piercings would set off any metal detector worth the name, and you're featuring them in parts of your anatomy your parents wish you didn't yet realize you had. You're dressed like Frankenhooker, and your hair has been dyed colors I previously thought existed only in cotton candy." I turned to face the door again. "I wouldn't waste time worrying about a little mud on the boots."
In the corner of my eye, Molly swallowed nervously, staring at me until the door opened. "Molly!" shrieked a little girl's voice. There was a blur of pink cotton pajamas, a happy squeal, and then Molly caught one of her little sisters in her arms in a mutual hug. "Hiya, hobbit," Molly said, catching the girl by an ankle and dangling her in the air. This elicited screams of delight from the girl. Molly swung her upright again. "How have you been?" "Daniel is the boss kid now, but he isn't as good as you," the girl said. "He yells lots more. Why is your hair blue?" "Hey," I said. "It's pink, too."
The girl, a golden-haired moppet of six or seven, noticed me for the first time and promptly buried her face against Molly's neck.
"You remember Hope," Molly said. "Say hello to Mister Dresden." "My name is Hobbit!" the little girl declared boldly-then lowered her face into the curve of Molly's neck and hid from me. Meanwhile, the house erupted with thudding feet and more shouts. Lights started flicking on upstairs, and the stairwell shuddered as brothers and sisters pounded down it and ran for the front door.
Another pair of girls made it there first, both of them older than Hope. They both assaulted Molly with shrieks and flying hugs. "Bill," the smaller of the pair greeted me, afterward. "You came back to visit."
"My name is Harry, actually," I said. "And I remember you. Amanda, right?"
"I'm Amanda," she allowed cautiously. "But we already have a Harry. That's why you're Bill."
"And this is Alicia," Molly said of the other, a child as gawky and skinny as Molly had been when I first met her. Her hair was darker than the others, trimmed short, and she wore black-rimmed glasses over a serious expression. "She's the next oldest girl. You remember Mister Dresden, don't you, Leech?"
"Don't call me Leech," she said in the patient tone of someone who has said something a million times and plans on saying it a million times more. "Hello, sir," she told me.
"Alicia," I said, nodding.
Evidently the use of her actual name constituted a gesture of partisanship. She gave me a somewhat relieved and conspiratorial smile.
He's not even a mature for his age twenty-something year old in canon, as anyone who has read Ghost Story will tell you.
Witness his being distracted by a depowered Whampire who isnt even using her power, and his blabbing about the whereabouts of two of the three Swords in their presence unprompted.
He's strong-willed as per word of QM, and he's brave, and has a good heart, but in every other way that matters he's as about as normal a suburban white American teenager as any other kid his age and demographic.
Thats kinda the point of the Carpenter family in the canon narrative.
And even apart from that, I fail to see which part of "go questing into the NeverNever at 16 in the face of all my family's enemies" would spell maturity to anyone.
... Why are you suddenly shifting from "hero travels on a quest to obtain power" to "some of the greek demigod heroes had parental support"? This is utterly nonsensical, honestly.
.....
If you actually go back and reread the conversation you chose to reply to, you will find that the QM and I were talking about DEMIGODS. Not any other type of heroes, but those with a god as one parent and godsblood in their veins.
The Greek mythological tradition is the only one in English with large numbers of demigods running around.
Or at least, the most widely read one for some reason.
Remember that she's the personality imprint of a horrific monster that has spent the last two thousand year inflicting atrocities on innocent people. The Lash we see is designed to be disarming and personable, but she didn't fully stop being that monster until near the end of her life.
Point of correction:
Lasciel has done all those things. Lash has not. Like you said, partial personality imprint, running on the OS of Dresden's lifeforce and on the hardware of his brain meats.
That said, your other reservations appear reasonable IC.
Molly would be very cautious about this. Potentially more so than the Emma-O business; Yama Kings are powerful, but they dont rate on the scale of an even partially unshackled Fallen.
Note that Im very much Team Turning Lash, mind. And that I think Dresden has already done most of the social work necessary; Lash canonically dies in around four or five months I think.
But I think Molly wouldnt rush this IC.
Yes she has.
Witness the difference between her reaction to Lasciel's Coin actually reaching out to touch her in Arc 2 Post 19 when she walked into Dresden's basement to talk to Bob when Harry was in jail, and her reaction to Lash.
Dresden's ability to overrule her makes it clear that she has no perfect defenses.
As does the manner of her death, shielding him against an Outsider's mental attack.
She's potentially quite powerful, as befitting the shadow clone/beta fork of a Fallen Angel with even some of the knowledge she was granted, but she isnt walking around with lolno defences.
Not in Dresden's head.
Corpsetaker wouldnt have been able to reach inside his head in Dead Beat if there was a spirit with perfect mental defenses in there.

I think Irish myth has quite a few Demigods.
Cuchulain was probably one, though that was more a reason for his unusual traits and didn't play much into his stories, no divine support (or antagonism) due to parentage.
India is also full of demigods, but I know about that particular mythology only through three corners of internet-osmosis and Fate fanfiction, so I really couldn't tell you how their average relation to their parents was without a long wikiwalk.
Possibly. We don't know for sure. It might have been more like the hallucination she first interacted with Harry through, but capable of being interacted with by all in Molly's World.
I wasn't even thinking about the canon events when writing that.
I was thinking that Lash being a more mutable being than Lasciel from being a shadow imprinted into and made out of Harry is insight Molly has. Harry being a good, heroic, and incredibly stubborn individual is something else Molly knows and believes. Lash in her current state has her continued survival tied to that of Harry. The bit about how Harry would feel responsible is a pretty easy conclusion for anyone that knows him.
So, maintain the status quo. Let them continue their dance of mutual influence with one another, and be by Harry's side as a friend, colleague, and part-time exalted shoulder-angel as needed putting our thumb on the scale weighing it in favor of Harry influencing Lash.
Being a fallen angel who specializes as a deceitful manipulator does make earning trust a difficult task, and that extends to shadows thereof. It's going to take a considerable mix of time, effort, and/or extreme acts. Exalted insight seeing genuine sincerity can help speed that up, but she has a very large hill to climb. It sucks for her, but it is the way it is.

One of the nice things about having a chat with animate stone is that it is perfectly polite to have it in a freezer covered in a thin sheen of oil you use for the making of things. What does he know or care for mortal niceties: "Hail Earth Son, Dragon Once Slumbering at the Root of the World. What you have asked of me I have done. Where once there was ruin now there is life, where once there was darkness now there is light, where once there was silence now are the voices of many, raised in plans for the the time to come."
"So you have said, so it was done," the dragon rumbles. No longer is his form one of loose masonry and concrete with bones of rusting rebar, now his scales in the white and dark blue of the station, his eyes like search-lights in the dark. 'Tis only when he moves quickly, as he had done over these last three hours checking though every corner of his refurbished domain, that one can see his stony interior.
"Yet as voice and eye and mind turn to these plans I notice that one thing remains undone." You shake your head as though in discontent, though both you and Porter know it's an act, an old familiar one, begotten of manners older than the eldest kingdoms of mortal man. "My people, the Jade Dogs, dwell within your walls, it is their safe heaven, their hearth, their home, many of my servants now dwells here in shell of artifice and sorcery and yet deeper still this place is still of you as the lantern belongs to the flame that burns within it. Join us and you shall never have to sleep away long decades of ruin, make of this manse truly a home that we share and a thousand eyes shall be yours, to see within and see without, pledge yourself to me and I shall forge for you a body of steel and brass, of lightning and the thunder of many wheels "
"Strange to hear a new tongue turned to such ancient purpose." You had not known a face of stone could crinkle into a smile. "Perhaps that is why the sound... of your steps... rang so loud in my dreams... a shard once struck from the whole now... returned into a world where the groove has long since been worn away. A shameful thing it is for a dragon to pledge themselves to one who is not dragon. Yet... yet..." There is a long pause as he seeks to join word and thought. "I hear it when you are here: the grinding of the ice, the hiss and sputter of magnetism and echoes deeper still. Perhaps you are a dragon too, not of five but a sixth."
At that you look gown, at the overalls and work boots and overall distinctly non-draconic form. "If you say so," you joke, knowing Porter isn't the sort to take a bit of humor amiss.
"Dragons are not in the shape, in wing and tail, fang and claw, dragons are in heart, in soul, sons and daughters of the Five. They are not and yet we are."The words ring with the surety of stone deeper than bedrock. "I pledge myself to thee Dragon of Burning Jade and offer you my thanks for all that you built done here"
A title not lightly given, not lightly earned. "You are more than welcome my friend."
For a long while the two of you just sit in companionable silence, each immersed in their own thoughts and plan now that things have settled between you, but something about his last words peeked your interest, a wordless almost-memory at the back of your mind, the words slip out, surprising you almost as much as they do you: "Are there dragons who walk like men?"
"Once... it must have been more than a thousand turnings of the sun before the City of the Winds was made I spoke with a man of the River People who did not avert his gaze from mine though the earth shook under his feet like a bear in spring waking. As I looked into his eyes I was he had the eyes of a dragon. Of the stormwind he was, the bright swift thunder soon gone. Thinking back... he was maybe a bit like you, man and god all at once."
Suddenly, a much less ethereal memory rises to the fore of your mind, Lasciel's shadow's 'gesture of goodwill': Hic sunt dracones Just what kind of dragons did she mean? Alas Porter does not know more about the man with dragon's eyes than he had already told you and Usum has nothing to add besides the conviction that dragons should serve you, which isn't much different from how he seems most things, but he insists there is a difference.

Huh, this feels like an important revelation, one that needs more Exalted knowledge to fully grasp.
Also, do y'all think Porter was talking about an actual Dragon or merely a Dragonblooded Exalt when he mentioned that meeting more than 1,000 years prior to the founding of Chicago?

I think it's a strong hint that there are dragonblooded out there, and that Lash mistook us for one / the information she was given was a warning about dragonbloods.
I think Irish myth has quite a few Demigods.
Cuchulain was probably one, though that was more a reason for his unusual traits and didn't play much into his stories, no divine support (or antagonism) due to parentage.

Irish myth has Cuchulain and Diarmuid that I've heard of, but no others.
Hindu myth, to my understanding is full of gods and demons; there's a lot fewer half-man half divine deals walking around the place. And English translations of Hindu myth dont really have all that much penetration into the Anglosphere.
I think the Greeks had the headstart advantage of Greek and Latin being considered languages of learning in Europe, and thus a lot of their mythology making it out into European and British culture and thus around the world
Other myths, not so much.
COMMENTARY
Air-Aspected Dragonblood.
So assuming that Porter has been in the Chicago area for the last thousand years, there was at least one Dragonblood family here somewhere. Or was.
River People? Thats Native American terminology.
Google tells me it refers to a native American tribe, the Cucapa, in northern Mexico.
However, in the Dresden Files, the Bigfoot are known as the Forest People. Which is also suggestive.
Priority would be to look for which tribes lived around here before the coming of the Europeans.
Chicago used to be the territory of the Miami tribe, who were part of the Wabash. The Miami tribe's name appears to derive from an older word meaning "downstream people".
We probably need to look around in Native American territory.
And if they were native Americans, it would explain what and why Broken Seeker seemed so confident that he was familiar with what we were. At least until Molly pulled shintai and signature charms out of her back pocket.
This appears straightforward.
Molly buys Constructive Convergence of Principles + Ox-Body.
Lydia buys Ox-Body, and banks 1xp.
The only real alternatives are to invest them into Resources or Spies Backgrounds, but I saw too many people quailing during the fight with Arianna not to buff up our HLs. Especially since Molly only has 11HL, which is less than Seeker, and he has regen.
First priority is to not die after all.
There are two broad kinds of Exalted (Excluding for a moment after market additions like the Abyssals and the Infernals like Molly):
Celestial Exalted who get their powers from the Celestial Gods: Sun, Moon, Stars are the big ones. They are chosen by their Exaltation according to their deeds (or in the case of the Stars they are chosen in the womb according to their fate)
Terrestrial Exalted, Dragonblooded who.... well it is in the name, they are the descendants of the Elemental Dragons (subsouls of the Primordial Gaia, the one who did not become a Yozi because she was on the winning team, she sided with the Gods against their makers). On the one hand that makes Dragonblooded less powerful since they embody descent from a 'mere' subsoul/element, their power fades with the passing of the generations. On the other had there are (or at least used to be) a lot more of them because that is how heredity works
Molly has just found out that at least as of twelve hundred years ago one of the latter still lived.
PLAN [X] Plan God Body
-[X] Molly:18xp

-[X] Lydia: 6xp
--[X] Ox-Body: 3xp

RATIONALE
-The Crafting charm was more or less decided on last turn.
It opens up some options we dont currently have with regards to equipment, so we should take it now.
-Molly can have three Ox-Bodies at Essence 3; she currently has 1x OxBody and 11 HP/HL.
Buying her a second Ox-Body will raise her number of Ox-Bodies to 2, and will increase her HP/HLs from 11 to 15(she gets the Celestial version, which gives you 4HLs per purchase).
Which means she has double the HP of a normal person, and 2 more than Seeker.
And so can take damage and ignore it.
-Lydia currently has 2x Ox-Bodies, but she has the weaker version, that only gives 2HLs per purchase.
Buying a third will raise her HL from 11 to 13, which is the HLs that Seeker has.
And max out the number of Ox-Bodies she can have at E3.
This is a priority because of how people were worried during the Arianna fight when Molly took scratch damage.
We kinda have to take into account the potential to fight mobs of enemies at once, so both Molly and Lydia need the HL buffer to take some damage and not die or start to suffer penalties to actions.
Its especially important for Lydia, who currently doesnt have any armor worth the name.
And her soak sucks to boot.
If she's going to follow Molly into fighting, she needs better health.
Essentially, this plan's goal is to improve our ability to survive damage and keep fighting.
Like the one that the Walker inflicted on Lara, or the one that Lydia suffered from The Will of Kakuri.
