Parts of it is probably because By Agony empowered is not *a very generous trade in*, quite a lot of time has been spent on pointing out how bad the charm was in past discussions due to the rolling over from damages, is it that strange people do not want it?

Power optimization isn't the only goal here. A soft retcon because we didn't realize what we were doing and chose something that isn't even a game breaking problem is a bit much.
That too, that charm has been in use in every single one of the truly important fights, removing it now feels wrong on this level.

Pretty sure they could see tanks fighting 4th generation vampire and winning. And even if they don't their health track tends to be huge, do to the whole solid metal.

They can likely soak many different types of it, but most of that stuff isn't made to resist radiation.
Edit: Or more like the question is malformed because if say Molly is fighting a tank she is never going to just hack at it with her sword like a dumbass. She is going to rip off the lid and jump inside. Or just disable the gun.
Maybe they might have agg soak against ranged attacks?

So, the car. Assuming we'll be using everything, we will be running at 18 dice ((Dex 4 + Craft 3)*2+2 WHWH + 2 Specialty) at DC 5 (Base DC 9 minus 1 from BSM minus 1 from CCC). This should almost guarantee us 10+ second degree legendary success. And it's a practical gift (hmm, if we craft it to protect from environment / with an inbuilt freezer, this might work for TLF). It's not a bad idea. Mind you, I think going after Maeve still has more potential.
We do need a stunt, though. That way we might push up to 20 dice, and 15+ successes become reachable.

No such thing as a gift for the fey. They are incapable of the concept.
Yeah, they fey have to reciprocate everything eventually. They're fully aware of that, and seeming to attempt to trick them into a debt makes them ornery.
Is that intensely hypocritical? Probably. Doesn't mean they won't still feel that way.

The charm adding damage dice works much better, the just leaving it as is. +4 damage dice is the difference between maybe hurting the enemy, and decisively hurting the enemy. Wound penalties are deadly, those extra damage dice, on top of a decent to hit roll from Molly will end almost anything.

We are not her equal, not yet, but we are her peer, and so much of fairy politics hangs on things unsaid, if we start this off as a supplicant she will treat us as one. I'll say again as it bears repeating, Mab asked for this meeting, she's coming to us, if we had called her, asked for aid, or sought her out in Arctis Tor a gift would be appropriate, as the one being infringed upon it most certainly is not our role, hospitality yes, forfeit, no.

The contrargument shouldn't be "fey don't have concept of gifts" - etiquette allows for gift giving in certain situations, even obligates a host to give a guest a gift, and we are hosting a meeting. That's not an issue. The issue is how Leanansidhe was infected through a gift.

It wasn't a gift exactly, as far as I recall anyway.
Part of why she was so pissed was that she paid for the knife somehow, even if it was an indirect exchange.
That is not quite true, the fey understand what a gift is, they just can't leave it unanswered. So a fey who is given a minor gift and takes it now owes you a proportional minor favor. They do not have to take it and they do not feel upset that they are given it, at least not if you do it with the proper etiquette, but the message is clearly more of a transactional thing like one of the chieftains of yore getting the gift of a bronze knife or a warm cloak from a visitor.
Importantly, this makes the car a trap. If we make one for Mab as a "minor gift" / "token of appreciation", then we establish a "car without any iron in it" as something that's only worth "a minor gift" for us. We have to pay Odin with vehicles. With a scale established as " a unique car with no iron in it" as a "minor gift", we'd probably need to build him an automated nuclear submarine or a supersonic jet at least.
Not really, I mean making a car with no iron in it is useful to Mab, but it has no real military utility to her. Monoc did not ask for the most exotic vehicles you can make, they have specifications depending on what they will actually use them for.
