[X] Plan GO! FIN FUNNELS!
"A breakout attempt." Another datapacket was forwarded to Diana, who brought it up for display out of habit - a moment later, she realized that technically neither of them needed the visual data, but it was such an ingrained habit she never thought to think about it. The mostly restored form of Bandit - albeit in a very, very basic frame stripped of his usual tools - was displayed. "We expected for some time that the Free Brothers would try to spring Bandit. As treacherous and unreliable as he is, he's far too useful for Tyrannous to leave be." A savage grin crossed his face, and Diana was taken back at how the holograms' lights made his visage almost look sinister for a moment. "So we'll let them. On our terms."
Realization came over her. "Are you putting a tracking beacon or something on him, sir?" she asked.
"Something of the like," he confirmed. "The trick, however, is to make it look convincing. It does us no good if they think the randomizer was predisposed in our favor. You see, we had some ideas, and Lieutenant Callaghan and the Beowulf might help to truly sell this lie..."
It's a matter of control. Sandbagging requires modulation and control of the circumstances, and we need to make sure everything goes within the larger scope of Galbinus' schemes. Why does Plan GO! FIN FUNNELS! uses the Argonauts as a support where the point is to sandbag convincingly? Wouldn't it be better to use units that the Free brothers already know we use in conjunction with Beowulf (AKA the Jackal squadron we used in the ambush that captured Bandit which Patchwork surely briefed the rest of the Free Brothers about?
Couple of things, @Basarin:
- I'm starting to lose track about which advisor is best at what. Would you mind updating the Dramatis Personae when you can?
- Anna's not a direct member of our organization, so we can't actively get her or the IS to investigate or gather intel on other organizations, right?
If we do want an elite spook of our own in-house, is it possible to ask her to allow us to train an AI on her?
...Adrianna, what (or who) did you find?
...most likely, or from Mekaen somehow, but doubtful. A bit worried if it's the Regent's enemy since that means they'll be space-capable or something along those lines.Regardless if it is, I'm glad that we found... Regent's antagonist?
Space Spec Super Robot paired with Thunderbolt? So between the possibility of a Steed based Funnel-providing attachment unit to unlock the All-Range attack for our mechs. The Orion Project being dug into. AND the rocket boosters to serve as a frame of reference for our units.
AND a Seeker Core Unit thatd be able to be constructed with that kind of environment in mind from the start
This was a damn good turn to pick up on that shit, don't you think everyone?
With comprehensive technological upgrades to enable spaceflight worthy ships to back them up in the future.
I've been sort-of waiting for this moment and I know exactly what to say.
Build Space capable Pegasus or use the Gagarin experience for our very own Space Capable ship? With comprehensive technological upgrades to enable spaceflight worthy ships to back them up in the future.
