[X] Restoring the Last Station: Restoration efforts have been going well and according to Adam some more of the people down in the tunnels have shown interest in their newfound wealth and comfort (2/8)
It is not one of the canonical Neverborn, as far as I know. I'd guess that this is neverborn of Metagaos.Looking up Perfected Principle of Consumption doesn't really give me any information at all.
No the name is on the list of Canonical Never-born. Apparently it is described in "The Compass of Terrestrial Directions, volume 2: The West" pg 77.It is not one of the canonical Neverborn, as far as I know. I'd guess that this is neverborn of Metagaos.
Is there any question that we might ask about them that is likely to be relivent to us? I am generally inclined to let dead gods lie unless the information is likely to help us somehow.
Yeah, at least excellencies should definitely be used. I am surprised it wasn't used here. We should make it a policy "if asking about arcane subject, pre-load occult excellency".I suppose next time we ask about some sort of brain-shattering insight, we'll use a full set of difficulty adjusters, instead of just BSM.
That said, we got a lot. A creator deity that wants to die. Spooky.
The issue is that Black Court are actually active in the world. They are carrying out a will of a Neverborn. The will of the Neverborn is for Creation to be swallowed by Oblivion so that they may finally die.Is there any question that we might ask about them that is likely to be relivent to us? Also the cow exclamation is supposedly a legitimate 16th century French expletive from what I found, any French people reading feel free to correct me if it is silly in context.
Basically, we just discovered that, cosmologically, the conflict is not a two-sided one (Reality vs Outsiders). It's a three sided one (Reality vs. Outsiders vs. Neverborn).
IDK if that's really assured. To DF, they just might be yet another group of Outsiders.Basically, we just discovered that, cosmologically, the conflict is not a two-sided one (Reality vs Outsiders). It's a three sided one (Reality vs. Outsiders vs. Neverborn).
It's possible that all the 'Outsiders' are in fact Never-born and their minions. Which makes their name ironic given the Primordials are the ultimate insiders. The issue is that Black Court are actually active in the world. They are carrying out a will of a Neverborn. And the chances that Lydia's creation had some proper exalted lore in its basis just skyrocketed - if Black Court is directly tied to, and was created by a Neverborn, there's a non-insignificant chance that Kemmler knew the name, and more besides.
Or, far more probable IMO, the outsiders are the neverborn, and it's still a two sided war.
IDK if that's really assured. To DF, they just might be yet another group of Outsiders.
Ok, yeah, that's a fair interpretation, I guess. It's possible that all the 'Outsiders' are in fact Never-born and their minions. Which makes their name ironic given the Primordials are the ultimate insiders.
Dunno, that might get real close to violating our agreement not to peek at the deity behind the curtainWe also probably want to talk to our father, priest, and, really, Uriel. Because "it's a Creator Being" flies rather strongly in the face of Christian theology.
The Compass has 1 more detail, saying that "Principle of Consumption" is the Neverborn which the Deathlord "Bodhisattva Anointed by Dark Waters" serves. Since the Deathlords (super ghosts) are probably gone in this age, that's unlikely to be relevant. No the name is on the list of Canonical Never-born. The wiki page just doesn't have any more details.
Looking up Perfected Principle of Consumption doesn't really give me any information at all.
That doesn't really make any sense. The Never-born are the Primordials who were killed in the war and the Infernals are the ones that swore the surrender oaths. A Infernal becoming a Never-born doesn't really work. There is some ancient homebrew theorizing that it was once Ta'akozoka.
Here is the 2e homebrew charmset of that primordial: Taakozoka - Ninja_Sensei_Gaming
Likely right. Also looking up the Bodhisattva Anointed by Dark Waters if he was still 'alive' the signs should be fairly obvious. He's modus opperandom was to create a giant state religion death cult. But he was also a compulsive shape shifter who made new identities constantly so there is no way we would recognize him.The Compass has 1 more detail, saying that "Principle of Consumption" is the Neverborn which the Deathlord "Bodhisattva Anointed by Dark Waters" serves. Drakul being an old Abyssal makes sense. Relatively pathetic showings for one, I guess, but he might be jobbing. The knowledge that black court vampires are active agents* of the Never-born Perfected Principle of Consumption means that the odds of there being a or multiple Abyssal exaltation sealed away is very high. If I were to bet I would bet that there is one in Hades's vault.
*I say agents, but Abyssal Exalted make it fairly clear that the Never-born are suffering too much to give coherent orders most of the time. Black Court vampires were likely designed to have a nature that would incline them to kill everything, but no real directives and it's possible that many of them are actually somewhat nice people in a tragic situation. Or not the ones that fought their nature might all be dead now.
It's fairly common for Abyssals to job. Very few of them are actually enthusiastic about destroying everything including themselves, but they are often required to at least make a show of trying.Drakul being an old Abyssal makes sense. There's also a point that in this thinner reality, resurrection is possible. Neverborn, at least some of them, might possibly be curable / restorable.
You can't really restore a NeverBorn they are dead, from die forever charms. Their are really only three options. One is make them into soulsteel, the Solar's where considering doing to to make impregnable barrier around Creation. Two reseal their tombs and put them back to sleep. Three rebuild Lethe to be able to handle Primordial level beings.I guess that the Never-born might be restored. This reality doesn't seem to have an absolute prohibition against true resurrection, but we should test bringing back some regular people first. Bringing a Never-born back to life if likely to be a much harder job if it's even a good idea. The Primordials were overthrown for good reasons.
