So, Mab isn't a member of the Winter Court? Interesting, I remember the situation was different in the DF. Well, you consistently have been voting for Mab's appeasement, I suppose, I can't change your mind about the issue.Mab is not our enemy.
If we considered Mab our enemy, you'd see it on the character sheet.
Seriously, you DONT want Mab as an enemy.
Well, we have rules for taking people out: "By paying 2 Essence while crossing over into her inner landscape, the Infernal may also bring up to a score of willing, restrained, or unconscious individuals along with her. Visitors to the Kingdom may stay for as long as they wish (indeed, they may even become permanent residents), and are free to depart whenever they desire – so long as they are able to walk to the border of the realm." These are the rules for visitors. There's nothing explicit about those we send to our kingdom via charms. I'll assume that they could also leave. In fact, I have designed several ways of doing so in my write-up (see the threadmark).
Even if it takes time, though, it's still better than dying completely, I feel. It's a good backup option.
The option literally says 'bow', that's a bit more than nodding respectfully.Inclining my head is not a genuflection.
Been there, done that.
As in, we see Eldest Gruff do it to Mab, and they arent of the same Courts.
Cold Days chapter 33Would you bow if you met a foreign chancellor or president?
We might not be her equal, but we are also not in her authority.
Words to keep in mind.Yes?" asked Mother Summer.
"I was sort of expecting . . . something else."
"Winter and Summer are two opposing forces of our world," she said. "But we are of our world. Here, that is all that matters. And showing respect to one's elders is never unwise."
"Yes, ma'am," I said.
Mother Summer gave me a small, shrewd smile.
Pretty sure it's an obvious joke.Addressing Mab as an equal isn't inherently discourteous, which is what the 'give a neutral greeting' is. We don't have to show supplication to be polite, we're not her subject after all.
This though, this is rude and is asking to be smited.
The point about Mab not being our enemy is that Mab is worth significantly more than a single dot. That's 4-5 dot territory. So, Mab isn't a member of the Winter Court? Like, I'll happily vote for a write in that specifies we're to remain polite whilst picking a greeting that makes it clear we don't work for her.
Honestly, we should probably use a formal greeting from Ursum.
4 dot.The point about Mab not being our enemy is that Mab is worth significantly more than a single dot. That's 4-5 dot territory.
This is sort of getting into "do you want to be right, or do you want to win?" territory in my mind.Would you bow if you met a foreign chancellor or president?

Yes, it's a good point. I just think that IC Molly feels animosity to the boss of fetches, so neutral greeting is enough. The point about Mab not being our enemy is that Mab is worth significantly more than a single dot. That's 4-5 dot territory.
I think killing spade would have made her an enemy sorta. But, only in the show whose boss and work for advantages angle. Instead of kill on sight which would be an even higher dot.4 dot.
We would've gotten it if we'd freed or killed Slate.
It would've been great fun!
Best chosen together with the Summer Lady ally background
Both were listed as an additional 3 dot enemy background. We already chose 1 during char gen.I think killing spade would have made her an enemy sorta. But, only in the show whose boss and work for advantages angle. Instead of kill on sight which would be an even higher dot.
Ah, such a nice sentiment[] Fuck Queen Mab and all her kind (Enemy Winter Court increases by ●●●)
That's fair though mabs not usually the type to go straight for murder when something has value that can be used. Both were listed as an additional 3 dot enemy background. We already chose 1 during char gen.
Can anyone post what this does somewhere?Oh BTW forgot most of the meanings of the signs you drew but Molly can now write Perfected Principle of Consumption in some strange language. Why that precise combination of Glyphs... no reason
She feels animosity towards Fetches.Yes, it's a good point. I just think that IC Molly feels animosity to the boss of fetches, so neutral greeting is enough.
That isn't what's going on here. We're entering social combat, which means finding the right levers to pull in order to get what you want. Etiquette and courtesy are (in this context) the stealth weapons of polite society.
@DragonParadox I mean to ask - do we still have the Michael Road Trip left in this arc or are we doing xp spend and then doing that as a mini-arc?
Still got social combat with mab before we leave oh and agreements and goodbyes with the others here. Also escaping the government goons eh though. God their probably gonna be a recurring thing that in my mind make me want to go tuck it then monologue to them how fucked the world is and how unprepared they are.@DragonParadox I mean to ask - do we still have the Michael Road Trip left in this arc or are we doing xp spend and then doing that as a mini-arc?
