Did she just try to deathcurse us?A traitor and a monster she may be, but Katrina is not a coward. She lunges one last time to press the stump of her hand against you as you feel the warp and weft of time trying to snare you, like a fly in amber.
Someone invoking a rune to deny death, us going full Shonen to deny fate, and the amazing artwork back-to-back honestly made me tear up a little."I have seen my death and this is not the way!"
A white hot rune explodes in the center of her chest, like the symbol of infinity carved in splintered edges, a mark you know without knowing means 'day', the bright time, the coming of the sun and you feel sheer fury to see it so defiled, knitting back together that which you had broken, giving a traitor back her wretched life to work more evil upon the world, more children screaming, more hapless bystanders hung by their entrails like macabre puppets and all for what.... for what?
Because she had been promised by some evil even greater than her? Because fate?
"Be damned all fates!" you think it, you say it... something at the core of your power, something old and vicious, something sublime and perfect answers.
The world feels light and fluttering, as though all were made of gossamer and you the only solid thing as you whisper under your breath:"Shin.Tai."
Your heart beats faster and faster like some brass engine of extinction pumping out not blood but all consuming flame within as it is without. In blazing brass and pitch-black basalt you are garbed, upon your brow a crown of Ruin and Glory, in semblance and in mockery both of a thousand profane idols.
Not a tactic I actually want to do or think we have time for but the hilarious option would be using Molly's spectacular lying to convince Dresden that she's used her weird powers to render him incapable of summoning Mab.Unfortunately Harry can speak her name three times even in the middle of battle, she is listening, and Mab might take him not doing it as evidence of foul play.
Did she just try to deathcurse us?
[X] Knock Harry out, he cannot call Mab if he's unconscious and she cannot even blame him for planning it if you do it now

Arawn takes out Capricorpus, we stop Harry, which leaves Lydia and Gard to deal with the sub. Seems like it would work fine?
Unless well, our movement speed is super high right now correct? Could we blitz past the sub and hit it before stopping Harry in the same turn?
Doesn't Harry become vulnerable to possession if we knock him out? That seems like a bad idea when both Capricorpus and Evil Bob are nearby.
Can we use Tool Transcending Constructs or dynamically stunt having brought some duct tape along for the eventuality, and tape his mouth shut?
-Molly's first human kill. Stole Gard's kill too.
Eh. She probably shouldnt survive this.@uju32 , it seems we still can meet Capricorpus with a proper selection of charms
I'll allow the ducktape, trouble is as long as he has his hands free Mab would expect him to use all means at his disposal to get his mouth free and do the summoning. Realistically he would probably just play along and get in trouble.
Also I should clarify, just because Harry would be more vulnerable to possession unconscious does not mean he would he that vulnerable in absolute terms. Lash is still in there and unlikely to take kindly to Capricorpus muscling in on her turf.
To be clear here, this is not the choice between pissing off Mab or not.[X] Focus on finishing off that sub
Pleeease let's not piss off one of the supernatural heavyweights of the setting any more than we have to.
Also, there's so many ways trying to knock him out could go wrong. He could quite easily end up crippled, or in a coma, or dead, or possessed if we attempt this. With the possible exception of #4, we don't have any way at this time to fix any of these. Also, if any of those happen, Mab might become even more pissed off with us, given that IIRC she does have some responsibilities with respect to him, and crippling him while trying to get around her deal with him? Not going to be happy. Furthermore, it'll look to our allies like we're turning traitor.
We may well still be able to negotiate with her, particularly if we can offer her a plausible alternative such as the transferral ritual that I recall being discussed. I doubt that she is wholly beyond reason. From what I know, she certainly isn't stupid.
Its magic. Then we duct tape his mouth and then duct tape his hands together, palm to palm, so he can't pull it off, and do it so quicky he doesn't have a chance to resist or not.
Does this really apply to us though? Trying to knock someone out is a really terrible idea that can go very wrong... in real life. We have rather passed that point.[X] Focus on finishing off that sub

I would guess the former:-Im not sure I grok what happened there with Arawn.
Did Kattrin bind and turn him into a table, and killing her released him? Or is he just showing up at the fight and coincidentally ending up between the Uboat and Dresden?
The fact that the altar is gone and he is there makes it pretty clear that this is not a coincidence. There is a man standing where the stone altar had been, silver of hair and heard, though you can still see traces of black in it. He is wearing an old fashioned suit and round gold-rimmed glasses that obscure the exact color of his eyes. You know who he is even before you hear Lydia gasp: "Papa!"

Then once he is down we talk to Arawn and hopefully come up with a solution that make everyone least unhappy. Then wake Harry up, have him summon Mab and present the solution as a fait accompli.
