Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Um, All of my yes?!

Does it? The charm only talks about bakemono/fomori.

IDK how the merging of exWod and Dresden Files affects that.
It also only suspends the torment while they are doing work for us and stops as soon they do anything else. Like sleep.

Which False Spring Beckons does. It works for Essence rating * weeks and costs a single essence.
Word of QM. It works. Whampires were an explicitly cited example.
Most humanoid species in the Dresdenverse are parthuman mutants.

My understanding is that it works while they acknowledge the Infernal as their boss ie pledge allegiance, follow standing rules etc.
And it does so permanently as long as they follow the rules.
They stop obeying, change allegiance, or ignore the rules, it stops working.

Rare to see an option gain such unanimity :o I suppose we like making friends though.

If we got nothing out of this whatsoever other than being able to safely operate near this beastly boy... I'd still go for this. The fact that mom is going to turn inside out might actually be a plus.

This fucker is going to have cable television, an account with Eve Online, and a hot tub by the time we are done.

Might want to raise Craft while working on this.
Point, dots in favored abilities are cheap. Getting our fourth dot in Craft is only 3 XP, same cost as a measly 1-dot favored Charm.

There's other essentials to purchase first, of course, but at the rate we gain XP and how long this is going to take, we can probably get all of our favored abilities to 5 dots pretty easily by the time this is done.

Including the social ones to help secure this guy as a proper minion. Charisma + Empathy + Excellency at 16 dice on a regular basis for multiple weeks of cumulative contact will charm just about anything, after all.

Dragon nests can be built into the manse version of a shitty technical right?

I'm curious if we could do more than just use this place as supernatural home base.

It's specifically a subway station on the border of the nevernever and material world, hooked into several ley lines in a city noted for its association with travel and connection in canon.

It's at least hinted at by the existence of one of the crowns that you can teleport using ley lines as a medium. Obviously we can't reasonably replicate an exalted crown, but a more limited spirit train teleporting shorter distances along the specific lines our location is touching could be possible.

With the association with travel and some of the oddities with ancient sorcery we might also be able to poke around in the nevernever more freely than simply hopping over from any given point on the material side.

Very long term as a goal, but being a literal railway tycoon and expanding along the ley line network to conquer dragon nests to use as railway stations would be pretty amazing.

Two things we need are methods to increase Essence capacity, and regen.

At the moment, Manses, heartstones, and the charm which nets us an Essence when we see others draw blood are our only canon methods of further increasing regen... Besides what we have.

Only raising Essence can canonically increase our capacity.

Wonder if a few homebrew charms could fix that, without breaking anything.

At this point, I am wondering why this even is a vote.

Depends on how much you care about Charity's opinion I guess. Michael might be looking at us kind of crossways too.

Edit: Even with superpowers, as a parent you're probably going to be looking strangely at your daughter establishing a bolt hole in a place like undertown.

Edit2: Not to mention the White Court dregs.

We don't need more Craft, we need more dots in Technology. Laying down more reliable electricity than the one that is kinda here to make the lights semi-work is a must-have. As is getting a internet access.

Ohhh yesss, rust metal dragon buddy a go!

Also @DragonParadox sorry, but would accepting the wyrm's offer count as "binding an unwholesome being into service" for Essence regen?

Not right now, you are agreeing to do something for it not the other way around. It is also a bit of an edge case for unwholsome, but I'd allow it if you manage it just because of where it lives. It does not say Creature of Darkness specifically.

Also, @DragonParadox how much xp have we earned so far? I am not asking for a specific number but given that a LOT of events have accured, can you give an approx of how much xp we have?

Also, if you are willing, if we do something worth earning xp, would you be willing to post it in the chapter that we earned it in? As in Saved Cindy +1 xp or like that, similar to how we get the -1 Essence or +1 Essence when we gain/loose Essence.

I generally prefer to do the accounting once the arc is done so I can have the whole picture. For instance saving Cindy would be worth 2 XP, but if she dies on the way back somehow you get -2 XP and I do not want to get that far into the weeds in the middle of the narrative. As for how much you have right now. Rough estimate around 20 already.

To the best of my understanding Dragons Nests are fixed locations.
But I suspect we might be able to use it as a train station/airport for minions from our Hell.

Molly wont need it, because the charm says she can duck out to her pocket dimension from any location if she has the right conditions. But in the Dresdenverse, non-wizards only cross into the NeverNever at places with thematic resonance for them.
For Whamps its places of lust, Blampires use graveyards and places of death.

Inhabitants of Molly's Hell might well be able to use Dragons Nests she's claimed.

Michael will ask for an explanation in private, and will accept magic shit as an explanation.
Especially as he is right here, meeting said spirit face to face and evaluating it, and Amoracchius' reaction to it.

Charity is going to be tougher, but she well understands the concept of payment for services rendered.
Especially when said services involve rescuing a kid, and the payment is sustained physical labor, and nothing more nebulous.
Its very much reminiscent of the literary scene of Tom Sawyer whitewashing a fence, only with no conning others to do the work.

Beside, Michael(and his Sword) can vouch for said spirit.

The White Court dregs is a matter of talking Dresden into letting us ask to Mouse accompany her underground whenever she needs to do work on the weekend. As a chaperone of sorts.
Pay the Good Boy with treats.
Yeah. Dragons and Sex Vampires. There is no way Charity is going to be rational about this.
Eh.
Thomas worked with Michael back in Grave Peril, and Charity worked with Thomas to get Molly back from Arctis Tor.
At worst we get Mouse to escort us to assuage her fears until we get stronger. And richer.

I think you guys are doing her a disservice. She'll adjust. Just give her time. Its only been about a month since Arctis Tor.
And Michael being a character witness to Molly's capability and restraint helps with that.
Eldest kids often have it worst of all establishing boundaries with their parents.
