Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

-[x]Leech showed you advanced Google search operators a while ago. After pulling up a cheat sheet to refresh your memory, you check Myspace for mentions of Mac's pub or Bocks bookstore.

Even if jetpacks aren't what we're looking for, a flying vehicle could still be a good idea. What do you think of making Siriothrax's remains into a private jet? Or a fighter jet if we can swing it. Supersonic travel, long range attack, magic, and I vaguely recall a Malfeas charm from Shards of the Exalted Dream that lets you turn any vehicle you're piloting into a Warstrider.
1)Unnecessary.
By the time we repurchase Rage Recast and buy Windborn Stride, we're going to be able to fly at a large percentage of the speed of sound in normal mode, and probably faster than sound in shintai.

2)Thats up to the QM, but in my opinion it would be a waste.
Siriothrax's remains are the sort of thing you make a Ring of Power out of. Want a plane, buy one.
Hondajet is about 5.3 million new irl for a six passenger seat jet, and roughly 2.5 mill used.

When the attempts at parry had flowed into riposte you do not know, but when the blessed sword clashes with your own you feel it, not as you had been afraid you would, as fearsome judgement barely held in check. Instead you feel its namesake, love. Weariness echoes though the touch, heavy as the weight of long years and through it all relief that this time it is not used in deadly earnest, but only to temper and to train. Well was it named and heavy the task laid on it. Tears prick at the corners of your eyes, for all that the knights have given for faith and for the protection of mankind the spirits in the swords have given more, for their vigil does not end in the span of one mortal life.
Ah.
I see she figured out that there are angels indwelling in the swords.
Thats something that wasnt hinted at before Chichen Itza, and not confirmed until Battlegrounds IIRC.
OOC: To explain what happened there at the end, most people cannot disarm a knight, like you make the maneuver and no matter how good you are the sword says nope in a perfect defense. Beings of a certain weight class get to roll off against the Knight's Faith. I was not expecting your one die from Essence 1 to win against Michael's thee from True Faith 3. You also rolled Perception+Occult to get that insight on the Swords being alive and even with soul on soul contact you needed 3 successes, that is not an easy thing to learn.
Secret/Forbidden Knowledge GET
+2 Essence
:)

Didn't make the leap to 'angel' she knows they are alive and have a soul, she got a sense of what the Sword of Love is feeling, but they could just be natural extensions of a weapon used for a holy purpose for two thousand years catalyzed by the Blood of Christ. Keep in mind her occult lore comes from a very animistic PoV.

Aww. Now I feel bad for that Fidelacchius chap/ette. I'm not seeing how to make it worthwhile to go visit them, but I'd be nice if we could ask what they might like to do while relaxing. Maybe have some movies playing in the background, or some books or music?

...I may be projecting from an anthropocentric perspective.

I'm still pessimistic on anything massive being possible with Sirothrax's remains if we're going by RAW since we didn't kill him personally while possessing a means of storing his essence. The crafting system is quite clear on what's necessary for advanced prodigies and splendors.

Though I suppose we could fight the curse itself in dragon form and get an advanced item from that or something.

1)There's another Charm from Shards of the Exalted dream, an Adorjan one, that lets you use any Adorjan movement charm on any vehicle the Infernal pilots using the vehicle's base speed instead of the Infernal's. Combine with Warstrider transformation and VLE expansion and that's a hell of a dynamic entry.

2)A ring of power that does what? The reason I was thinking of using him as a jet is cause Dragons are basically mythical fighter jets (giant armored fast flying killers that bombard from a distance) and I thought the thematic resonance would make for a better artifact. Depending on size it could also function as a mobile base as well.

It doesnt really matter in the larger scheme of things, but I thought you might be interested.

Get Cult 5 and I will allow you to hand out True Faith in Molly one dot at a time to your cultists, the affinity and the fact that the Exaltation wants more Essence which faith can provide can bend the cap a bit here.
I think I should point out there's an option for that when speccing your personal Hell.

-[X]Stunt: Having pried Leech off the home PC with a bribe of storebought icecream, you have three different instances of Internet Explorer open to Google Search,Yahoo Search and MSN with a scratchpad of search notes and other, more obscure local forums beside you. Carefully you type the search term Bock Ordered Books into the Google search box and press enter.

The minor talents will tell you about the big players.
For them, keeping track of the big players and what they are doing is an often existential issue. If nothing else, they'll pass along current gossip, news of safe meeting points, trustworthy merchants of occult supplies and warnings about known hazards.

Dresden Files dragons are pillars of creation. A dragon's death means a fundamental force now longer has an owner, important things like gravity.

If we use the body for anything it should be improving a DragonNest. Ideally we would create an elemental pole in miniature.

Sure, those count, human worship is human worship even if they are inside your soul. Keep in mind though you need to choose a degree of loyalty that will make them worshipful to get Cult. You only have so many points.

Angels are humane enough that they would appreciate the effort and the kindness that goes into it.

Not worth the points. Not like exalted don't casually pick up cults to them passively. And the rules we are using only need a few thousands mortals to give us 5 cult dots. Which is massively lower then exalted, where that is on par a cult spanning an entire continent.

By RAW sure.

By the setting? McCoy certainly didnt make the Blackstaff, the Denarians didnt make the Shroud of Turin, and the Swords of the Cross Fidelacchius and Esperacchius have both been reforged multiple times over their history, and Im sure none of the smiths were involved in the Crucifixion.

Depends on if it makes narrative sense for the story the GM wants to tell.

1)Settingwise, there arent many warstrider scale threats, if any.
Thats part of the reason why many of us arent interested in giant shintai forms.

2) Bounded field to shift major fights away from civilian areas into a temporary bubble.
Modifier to strengthen or weaken the Shroud/Gauntlet between the normal world and the NeverNever, to impede or permit the passage of spirits and summons and people using the Ways. Ancient Sorcery booster. Shaping tool.

Thats just what comes to mind immediately.
Dresdenverse Dragons are a big deal. The strongest surviving one is a peer to Mab.
Using the remains of one for something should matter.

Cant we just repurchase the Charm like Green Sun Princes presumably could when shaping their inner world ?

Definitely worth the points.
Not having to worry about the loyalties of the inhabitants of your soul architecture prevents unpleasant surprises.
You dont need Fanatical devotion, but you do need Committed loyalty.

Not by RAW and fluff wise that would be very essence extravagant for the wasteland you find yourselves in.
Really? Huh.
Just means that our inner world has to be roughly the size of Dallas(22,000 sq km) instead of like Idaho or Australia.
Or a planet.

The rest seems within reach; we'll just have to sacrifice some stylistic flourishes like being able to control the weather and only having one door in and out of the place.

like she is afraid you might start talking to the mixer or the hairdryer given half the chance. You do not tell her that you could talk to them, but it would involve binding demons of the Wicked City into them.
heh, one of the reasons why Dreamspeakers are considered so weird. They awaken and talk to items all the time.

Looks fine.

We can expand our Hell by conquering others, I hope.
Yomi-Wan only grew into the over-large underworld it is today by absorbing parts of nearby realms after all, so it is just natural that we can do the same once we have the strenght to beat a Yama-King in their own domain.

Imagine Chichen Itza except instead of arriving transformed into dogs, we slam into the side of the pyramid at mach 26 in a giant robot. It's like pulling an Ebeneezer, but we are the satellite.

I mean, it obviously wouldn't work for the canon rescue mission, but that's not what most of the war is going to be.
