I'm not quite sure if that pommel-hit counts as some specific strike with increased difficulty or if it ends up as just flavor, but with our dicepool I'm okay with it either way.
I was aiming for flavor.
Are we sure this is just a sorcerer rather than a Wizard?
Because killing a Wizard is dangerous, we should always be wary of their Death Curse.
Meh.
Cowl is explicit about facetanking the death curse of multiple wizards. Death curses are dangerous because they are potent and unpredictable, but the Red Court still started a war with the White Council just fine.
I wouldnt worry too much about it.
So by this point we've been in a grand total of three fights and received notably wounds in all three. 1 Lethal Wound against the spiders, 2 Lethal Wounds against the Vampire/Outsiders, and (so far) 3 Lethal Wounds against the Berserkers.
I think it is clear we need to do something about this.
Boiling Oil Mastery gives you a passive -1 difficulty on all rolls for 4XP. If you are wet.
Upending water on your head? Counts.
Blood? Presumably counts as well.
-He has combat regen and a wound penalty negator?I'd have worried less about stabbing him if we knew that.
Molly needs a Perception charm so she can see these things in her opponent.
Hellscry Chakra would work, but costs 8XP.
-So far we're looking at our perpetrator summoning and binding at least two different forms of spirits(spirit of rage + not!raven monster), an offensive AoE mindwhammy spell, and whats essentially psychic invisibility.
Nice tricks, but still a scrub. Binder would mop the floor with him, and he isnt even White Council, just a merc with a talent.
-Oddly enough, nothing the guy has done here is against the Seven Laws of Magic.
Not the summoning and binding, not the use of boosted minions.
Even the offensive mindwhammy is at worst toeing the line.
-That psychic invisibility trick would not have helped him against Michael.
Or against a trained practitioner; Dresden has to deal with fae glamor ALL the time, and from seriousface heavyhitters in the Courts.
Dude was just arrogant. Like I said, scrub.
-Where are Marcone's dudes in all this?
Ve had all better move yes, before the police comes," he manages through bloodied lips.
Police wouldnt be able to hold him because sorcerer.
But he's the one who fired automatic weapons in a public place in Chicago, not us. And the one who did the attack.
Molly would be unarmed because demon sword, the monks are unarmed, Marcone's dudes probably have permits for any weapons and Michael would be fine legally, because open carrying a sheathed sword is legal in Chicago.
Dude should be thankful the White Council arent still in town, else *draws thumb across throat* they'll probably find something in his history to hang him for. Then again, he's not out of the woods yet.
Marcone is going to know his face, and dude holds grudges.

[X] Offer to drive the getaway van while your dad keeps watch on t he sorcerer and the thugs in the back
Molly has Dex 4 + Drive 1 - 1 wound penalty = dice pool of 4. Mortal average.
Her dice pool for watching a sorcerer is Perception 2 + Alertness/Awareness 0 - 1 wound penalty = dice pool of 1. Very poor.
Let Michael watch the nasty sorcerer; she can drive.
