Yeah, Dad's better driving when not covered in blood so he can handle social stuff without that malus. We can handle this guy in combat now that we know all of his tricks, and we're the only one he can't just vanish from with mind magic. We were the only one who could see the guy before we disrupted his concentration, after all.

[X] Offer to drive the getaway van while your dad keeps watch on the sorcerer and the thugs in the back

Do we really need superhuman skill in driving to leave before the cops get here? Our dad might be a better driver, but I would say that he also has a lot more practice watching over hostages that could wake up and try to start something and given our four wounds I don't think we are in any condition to have another fight if they start something.

We would only drive with 3 or 4 dice (usually one more but wounds).
A regular mortal experienced driver should be better and our father very likely is better.
This can't be the first time he had to get away quickly from a job.
I bet the coincidences and odd occurrences that come out of nowhere to aid a Knight of the Cross on something like a high speed vehicle chase are just completely wild.

Like a sinkhole opening up in the middle of a street to swallow a pursuing car, a sinkhole that's been slowly forming for months due to a leaky pipe. Or a vulture taking a midair crap that lands on the windshield and obscures the pursuer's vision at a critical moment.

High level Sidereal Astrology + Destiny background but endless is the closest to what a Knight of the Cross is running, I think.

Which is really strong even on a mortal.

Probably for the best, it only takes the wrong moment for someone to notice the blood soaked teen girl driving.

The 7th law is on there because outsiders try to unravel the world.

While breaking it won't have a magical effect on us, it'd get many people trying to kill us.
Because well, we'd be risking the world.

While we could break the peace of neutral accorded territory it'd get all the signatories pissed at us. Don't do it.
Note I said laws beyond the council ones like the undefined laws many gods and supernatural beings have like many things not being able to do any action unless provoked (which could just be entering their territory uninvited or obscure laws you don't know beyond jist attacking them) or agreed upon even if unknowingly like selling your soul as a joke.

I wonder if dad will offer some critique for our performance here.
We did act rather reckless after all.

We could have split dice to protect ourselves from that first salvo and knowing that the enemies did in fact aim for us and not the monks, that us being the distraction worked, I would have done so in hindsight.

Oh... wait? Did you mean inherent limitations of your power? Yeah you have not found any of those. You can punch whoever you like in the face and you have not found a threshold that would even ruffle your hair. The closest thing you have to inherent limitations are not being able to channel another being for power, otherwise known as blanket immunity to possession that does not care is they say please.

I'll note nick actually was a signatory he's just now specifically exempt due to skin games.

Also I kind of meant laws towards us like do we still count as Mortal by fae or can we freely be attacked same for God's and such? The other tidbit is good to know though.

Molly does not know IC, she does not know what the powers of every god look like, but she is quite sure that when it comes to Winter specifically she is fair game, what with busting her power loose from there.

That seems fair then again Harry has attacked winter fae and later he's still under mortal rules.

I was noting the nic thing though cause you said he wasn't he was a signatory until skin games.

Honestly, we are lucky we got shot on the weekend. We can heal up pretty quickly.

Otherwise yeah, we need to remember to specify splitting dicepools.

I'm not quite sure if that pommel-hit counts as some specific strike with increased difficulty or if it ends up as just flavor, but with our dicepool I'm okay with it either way.
I was aiming for flavor.
Are we sure this is just a sorcerer rather than a Wizard?
Because killing a Wizard is dangerous, we should always be wary of their Death Curse.
Meh.
Cowl is explicit about facetanking the death curse of multiple wizards. Death curses are dangerous because they are potent and unpredictable, but the Red Court still started a war with the White Council just fine.

I wouldnt worry too much about it.
So by this point we've been in a grand total of three fights and received notably wounds in all three. 1 Lethal Wound against the spiders, 2 Lethal Wounds against the Vampire/Outsiders, and (so far) 3 Lethal Wounds against the Berserkers.
I think it is clear we need to do something about this.
Boiling Oil Mastery gives you a passive -1 difficulty on all rolls for 4XP. If you are wet.
Upending water on your head? Counts.
Blood? Presumably counts as well.

Righteous Backstabbing
-He has combat regen and a wound penalty negator?I'd have worried less about stabbing him if we knew that.
Molly needs a Perception charm so she can see these things in her opponent.
Hellscry Chakra would work, but costs 8XP.

-So far we're looking at our perpetrator summoning and binding at least two different forms of spirits(spirit of rage + not!raven monster), an offensive AoE mindwhammy spell, and whats essentially psychic invisibility.
Nice tricks, but still a scrub. Binder would mop the floor with him, and he isnt even White Council, just a merc with a talent.

-Oddly enough, nothing the guy has done here is against the Seven Laws of Magic.
Not the summoning and binding, not the use of boosted minions.
Even the offensive mindwhammy is at worst toeing the line.

-That psychic invisibility trick would not have helped him against Michael.
Or against a trained practitioner; Dresden has to deal with fae glamor ALL the time, and from seriousface heavyhitters in the Courts.
Dude was just arrogant. Like I said, scrub.

-Where are Marcone's dudes in all this?

Ve had all better move yes, before the police comes," he manages through bloodied lips.
Police wouldnt be able to hold him because sorcerer.
But he's the one who fired automatic weapons in a public place in Chicago, not us. And the one who did the attack.

Molly would be unarmed because demon sword, the monks are unarmed, Marcone's dudes probably have permits for any weapons and Michael would be fine legally, because open carrying a sheathed sword is legal in Chicago.

Dude should be thankful the White Council arent still in town, else *draws thumb across throat* they'll probably find something in his history to hang him for. Then again, he's not out of the woods yet.
Marcone is going to know his face, and dude holds grudges.

Molly has Dex 4 + Drive 1 - 1 wound penalty = dice pool of 4. Mortal average.
Her dice pool for watching a sorcerer is Perception 2 + Alertness/Awareness 0 - 1 wound penalty = dice pool of 1. Very poor.

Let Michael watch the nasty sorcerer; she can drive.

If he had rolled high enough everyone would have forgotten he was even there until it's too late.

Okay, chance that he rolls over Michael's mission-boosted Willpower is near zero, but he couldn't know that.

Macron's dude got hit by the berserk-spell.

We should probably get it at some point, but after Boiling Sea and Essence+VDE.

If we need to use Hellscry like in this situation we'd prob need to use it along another Charm and Essence is hampering us.

Boiling Sea is pretty good, just carry multiple thermoses or bottles of water on us.
