Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

But it's also something we could seldomly use. Never mind the issue with attracting attention, it would just plain not fit in 90+% of the places we're likely to see combat.
For the most part that's going to be other people's property, so it doesn't really sound like our problem. :V

More seriously, Shintai form is supposed to be used sparingly. It has a whole mechanic to ensure that it becomes more difficult to use the more often we invoke it across an arc.

can we choose how the shintai looks as long as it sticks with some specific aspects of the chosen shintai eg still being 15 feet tall if we choose Demon Emperor or staying normal sized with extra appendages with tyrant?

Sure, all the fluff and things that are different from exalt to exalt is up to you guys, the only limitations are the ones that are inherent to the from. You cannot make a devil-beast look like a human, you cannot make a demon-Emperor small etc...

Can't believe I just realized we've overlooked the easiest way to check for signs of regular magic use. We need to find some electronics and flex our power near them. If they don't spaz out, that's a sure sign that we're way off the normal magic spectrum.

The thing about Shintai is, as far as I can tell, you are supposed to use it once per book or movie, not when you want to have a bit of fun.
At the climax it doesn't really matter if you destroy a building, it will propably be destroyed anyway.

Adding to that, several Signature Charms we can pick from at Essence 3 turn our Shintai into a walking catastrophy anyway, surrounding us with a blizzard or deadly sandstorm or something like that.

It doesn't matter if the Shintai doesn't work for 90% of all situations, as long as it works in the desperate situation of having to go all out.

A Shintai is thematically your final form, it is when the boss music starts playing for whoever is fighting you even if they are normally the bad guy. That is not to say it's the only way an exalt can go 'I have not yet begun to fight.' All the celestial exalted can do it one way or another because that is the common theme.

And the Gods which had been made loyal to the primordial overlords looked upon all the world for one who could face their tyranny and there was none, save for the lowly humans which had been made to gather prayer energy for their masters and to those the Incarna gave exaltations of their own power made after the design of the Great Maker and so that which could not be wounded was wounded and that which could not die died.

You are not quite that, you are not a solar made to be a hero, but one of the tools of the bound and mutilated Yozi meant to break Creation,to bring it once more to their masters' heel. But there is no curse upon your soul, there is no power to bind you and so, transmuted and altered, the Exaltation remembers still the first of its purposes.

Sorry for not responding much at all, guys. I'm currently moving from my apartment and will currently be having a final exam.

But I will tell you this, anyone that wants to pick Demon Emperor Shintai for maximum Biblical Leviathan coming to earth gets my vote.

...make it an Angel.

Not a fallen with wings of jet, not demonic with scales of sin.

Make it look like a 15ft tall white winged, terrifyingly wrothful looking Angel with a giant clarion on its back.

An Angel heralding an apocalypse. Make it the ultimate irony to God.

Not sure that fits into the thematical looks of the Infernals.

It's all brass, stone, green hellfire, red winds and stuff like that with them.

The E6 Heretical Charm, Emerald Angel Unfurling is the main form of inspiration that I want to draw for this.

But if we can't have a mind-shatteringly terrifying Angel, then I guess a giant Fallen Angel (for ultimate mockery to the Denarians) or just a Godzilla look-a-like is fine for me.

A mass of rings and eyes, wings of stone and protruding brass trumpets that cry a clarion call of red winds of flaying sands that herald the start and end of everything, wreathed in halos and crowns of green fire

Thank you for the inadvertent help

[X] Bluntly, there is no point trying to sugarcoat this, you have changed and there is no going back. Now it is time to figure out just how (Charisma+Empathy)
-[X] "It's pretty obvious that I'm different now, right? It's not just this strange power that came out of nowhere, either." Molly gestures at her body before continuing, "Ignoring the fact that I just healed a serious leg injury from a freaking spider monster and barely even noticed it happening, I think there might be some issues going forward if I'm stuck giving everyone a literal cold shoulder. Am I even still human? If not, what am I?"

Oooh, Eldritch Angel is also A-Okay for me. When I get home, I'll try and nake several example builds with fluffs about its appearance and general prowess for y'all to see.

Also, when this Arc ends, I'm gonna rewrite this like some K6BD Psalm. It's too good to pass.

Emerald Angel Unfurling is Essence 3. It is also a favorite of mine, so I am all for drawing on it for inspiration.

Vote closed. I've been waiting to do this update for a bit, not least since it will answer some questions you guys have had since the start.

In the sinews of Malfeas, the shade of Qaf, and the depth of Szoreny.

Empathy Excellency, please save us.

Think we could work something playing off of the whole ring angel thing without being so direct?

Instead of eyes, we give her eight brass rings studded with mouths filled with obsidian teeth.

At the center of the ring we place a single vast eye of sickly green fire. Rather than turning to see things the eye simultaneously seems to have only one pupil but also seems to be looking in every direction at once.

Anyone looking at her would see the eye staring directly at them without ever seeming to move as they do, not matter how many people are around.
