I think we are currently trying to avert or delay WW5. I don't think the existence of Kane changed WW1 by much, and WW2 was the Soviet Union taking over Europe. The First Tiberium War didn't involve large formations as Nation-States still existed, and GDI was led by a Brigadier, so I don't think it counts as a world war. The Second and Third Tiberium Wars definitely count as world wars.the Brotherhood right now is not the entity that's capable of bringing down WW 6 down on us.
Wellll…Why is there this blinding hate for privatization? I have seen so many people in this thread post about how capitalism needs to die and stated they are hard against grant programs yet haven't really stated why socialism is really better here. The benefits from allowing more freedom in the economy are massive.
Capitalism pro-
1. It allows us to cut back on spending and dice usage in housing, consumer goods, food and possibly others if we go that route.
2. Yes it might take several quarters but the taxation we get from private industries will only go to us and it can only grow.
3. At the beginning of a new four year plan when our budget is raided we don't have to put as many resources/dice towards the stated economic categories and can focus almost completely on increasing our budget.
Capitalism con-
1. Mega-corporations I guess? We have already have massive incentives towards co-ops and union focused businesses so I don't know how if they are a thing except in extremely rare occasions.
Ok so now you're assuming I made this account for the sole reason of countering bad faith actors who are arguing for the sole reason of arguing? Yes I have newly made an account, yes I rarely post mostly because I have commitments outside of this forum and I mostly read the quest from my phone which I am not going to use to post. This seems extremely hostile for what seems to be good points that I brought up.Because I love seeing new accounts make posts shilling for capatilism and evidently by being against grants (except for art and services) my goal has been achived.
Huzzah.
You literally copy-pasted the other post. Really?Like I said before, voting Yellow Zone Candidates for Yellow Zone priorities.
[X] Julian Taylor
[X] Kai Jun (君凯)
My vote is definitely going to these two, because they both prioritize what's been the most important thing we've done in this quest: putting the "Global" back into the GDI.
Space, economy, abatement, nothing else we've done has mattered as much as establishing a GDI presence in the Yellow Zones.
There is no humanitarian mission greater than reaching out to the hundreds of millions desperately trying to survive, to free them from having to rely on warlords because it's the only choice other than death.
There is no strategic victory over Nod greater than not just cutting into their recruitment numbers but outright removing them.
You want Abatement? Sure you do, everyone does. Except Nod. That's why they keep trying to smash it. You know what I want? For Nod to take a look at our Abatement efforts and go "I sure would like to smash that, but I can't because there's a hundred kilometers of fortress towns in the way."
I would not hesitate to go as far as saying that expanding into, developing, and protecting the Yellow Zones is a quest victory condition in of itself.
Hear me out: fighting Nod has been tried, over and over. Didn't work, because they rose from the ashes by taking advantage of the desperate multitudes that GDI abandoned.
What if those desperate multitudes started working for us instead? What if Nod had to start caring about their troops because every one of them lost was one that simply could not be replaced? What if when Kane try to strongarm GDI to build the Tiberium Control Network there are more people inside GDI than outside it?
Vote Julian.
Vote Kai.
Vote Yellow Zone.
Developing Space is good and I am curious about what mad science can do with tiberium when it's used for good, but in the end what I really want GDI to care about is working to solve the greatest humanitarian crisis in the history of mankind.
I have 1 dice on 5a marv since that has a high chance of finishing with that, I am also putting 2 dice on 7N Marv because that lets us put 1 or 2 the following turn to finish, get 3 rz mit, protect Chicago Planned city and the northern routes to our glacier mining operations in NA, gain 25 income. My point is that there have been people arguing for a delay on 7N Marvs and I am pointing out that we are being told that the 7N Marv will help secure our operations in the area including Glacier which provides a lot of income. All this on top of providing income and mit.We do, but the South American MARV fleet is much more urgent because the hub is already being harassed heavily by Nod forces and we're explicitly told that they might attack at any time. Closing the window of extreme vulnerability by getting the MARVs up and running is very important. By contrast, the Chicago MARV fleet isn't under imminent attack.
The yellow zone are still a part of the Earth, and trying to save it by prioritizing defeating Nod is a fool's fallacy. No matter how much military action there is against Nod, the Tiberium itself will outgrow the current methods of control anyways if nothing is done to further the development of better ways of combat Tiberium instead.I would not hesitate to go as far as saying that expanding into, developing, and protecting the Yellow Zones is a quest victory condition in of itself.
It was always a reference. I first used the Sarang Mikoyan name soon after Anastas Mikoyan became general secretary.I'd like to pretend this is actually Blackstar's Anastas Mikoyan of MNKh and General Secretary fame on loan from the discordium, kind of a meme vote for me
No. I belive you are a bad faith actor. And yes, that does make sincere reciprocal dialogue impossible. If I am in error, then this is the result of an unfortunate pattern that you have tragically, innocently, followed.Ok so now you're assuming I made this account for the sole reason of countering bad faith actors who are arguing for the sole reason of arguing?
