[X] Tell her to help if she's so interested in you, you can talk later.

I have a feeling that she'd laugh at Ling Qi telling her that the caldera isn't safe. She's clearly powerful and not worried about dying.

Isnt that literally the problem though?

Shes peak Third realm

Not Cyan let alone Elder level. If she gets caught up in the mob of Third realm disciples coming she could very well get killed.from that alone

Its legitimately dangerous for her

[X] Tell her to leave for it isn't safe for her here, you can talk later.

Convincing her to help seems too difficult and a good way for the empire to accidentally stab her in the back. Just getting her to leave is removing a combatant.

Were not exactly safe either and she can reduce our own casualties.
The Shishigui faction are the only people she'd hit without contradicting what her partner did to aid the 12 stars, and the Shishigui faction are nearly dead as is

The G7 might successfully bail once the Sect reinforcements arrive, but the rest are already dead and just dont know it yet

Ruan Shen will probably knock them out in his opening move or something

They would be coming back though to talk with us. She has to stay in the area and avoid imperial patrols while avoiding hurting the imperials to talk with ling qi like this. And thats hard. Its much safer to just help defeat the rest of the other tribes, than it is to escape in such a way. And the sect is far more likely to stab someone in the back who is neutral vs someone who actively helped.

No, you're completely confused about how and when she'd come back to talk to us. It'd not be immediately after the battle, it'd be later when the imperial taskforce leaves because no one feels like building a fort to defend this place.

We have one sentance. How are we gonna communicate a time and place?
It'd be best if she communicated it, but we could add something like 'here, one lunar cycle' to one of the write ins and it may still count as short enough. Or just don't set a time and she'll probably assume it'll be here, whenever it is safe for both us to come check.

Yeah. Like, if you look at the default options:
[] Tell her to leave if she doesn't want to face the empire.
[] Tell her to help if she's so interested in you, you can talk later.
[] You don't have time for this. Escape from the ice prison along with your spirit's via your revel and form up to receive your reinforcements.
1) You need to get out of here
2) If you want to talk with me, then help me
3) Bye Felicia, whatever happens to you happens

It's obvious how talking with her would work in the second option: she'd have helped us, so she'd be around afterwards and there could be talking then. The write-in is trying to get her out of the battle but also talk to her, somehow, and I don't see yrs letting us have it both ways if that wins: my prediction, if it wins, is that it will end up as either functionally option 1(she leaves, we might get a plot hook to see her again in the future) or option 2 (she stays and we talk to her after the fight), depending on which one yrs decides to write.

However long it takes doesnt matter

What does matter is that itll be done with an abundance of.caution

We can't guarantee this though. We have just the write in how its written unless someone wants to write a new one. We have no idea where a safe time and place is, no idea how the sect will react to random diplomacy and so on.

Like we can more easily suddenly spring on allies of conveniance on the sect and expect them to be treated well. Thats not the case with rando cowards who run from fights.

Except we dont have any control over how the Sect will handle this, and we dont want them potentially turning the White Sky folks against us in their high-handedness.

Which has been a common theme of the Sects modus operandi literally this entire time

It does matter, because that's how we actually go to talk to her at a time when she's there to talk to. She's not gonna hang around forever, Ling Qi can't just roam out into nomad territory whenever.
Shes the one who initiated contact.

She'll take the initiative to reach out again.

We have no control either way. However the sect is way more likely to treat someone nicely if they helped us vs just running away.

They're also less likely to be captured or killed by the Sect out of convenience if they run away.

The sect also arent likely to pursue in the chaos and due to our reports that the White Sky showed no interest in joining the invasion of the Emerald Seas

Except that doesnt matter if she returns. I would understand if the option were just flee, but its not. Its Flee and come back later to chat.

And again the sect is more likely to treat someone nicely if they actively helped vs just running away.

She won't return while the sect forces are here. After the sect forces are gone, she and Ling Qi will return. While no one else is here. And so neither sect nor nomads will interfere in our peaceful discussion, allowing us the time to figure out how to actually talk to her and understand what she says.
