........I literally just quoted you earlier about how this is entirely wrong. Six considers leaving the same as dying for them and it won't be our Six that comes back out.No clue. A thing to remember is that Sixiang is not mortal. She's a spirit. Remember our little Ice Maiden's Mother? She'll be back. That's how spirits work. Not the same, but back. It's how they grow. For Sixiang, the issue isn't her turning away from Mortals or not. It's if she wants to stick around Ling Qi or not. She won't die or something if she goes away. She'll be going back to her family. For her, this, sticking with Ling Qi, is like being on deployment.
Only while with a mortal can she be harmed. Otherwise she is protected by the greater moon spirits. Like, during the Great Revelry, we never had a chance to hurt any of those spirits. That's the life she'd be going back too. So she has a choice to make. Sixiang had fun, but things are getting ugly now. So do you want to stick around and see the ugliness that inspires art, or flee from the face of it and go home because you were never meant to fight those battles yourself?
It's time for a frank discussion on goals, not manipulation when you know people have deep issues. Even if she leaves, we'll see her again down the road, assuming Ling Qi lives. And it's not like she can't visit us like the other muses, in our dreams.
EDIT: Hell, remember the nature of muses and the many faces of the moon? Sixiang might go home and take stories of Ling Qi with her. And some time later a muse intrested in war and combat might show up, like another face of the moon, more suited to war than Sixiang. Hell, a Positive result for Sixiang might be to turn away and do the thing moon spirits are supposed to do, find another face more suited to the challenge instead of trying to change too much and hurting herself in the process. She might talk a family member or a friend to come watch us, so Ling Qi has "Muses", not just Sixiang as her Third Spirit.
After all, Muses are capricious, ephemeral, and inspiration is temporary. It would fit the theme that you only get to enjoy the company of a specific muse for a certain amount of time, while you are doing the stuff that muse is interested in. It would be an interesting way to take the story, if mechanically hard on the QM. He'd have to do a full work up on every new muse. But this way, Ling Qi could turn into "New Muses first steps in the Mortal World" kind of thing. Where she takes in young muses and acclimates them to Mortals and being Individuals. As wells as having old muses come back when the time is right, having grown from the experience.
I even posted the exact quotes where Six says they've started gaining a human comprehension of death and it terrifies them because going back means they get torn up and their bits used to make a new muse/muses.
