as much as i would kind of like too see what would happen i think following orders might be the smarter move.

I dunno what else I can say y'all clearly have your minds set on this apparently for some reason, even after we specifically came here to actually participate in this battle. I dont understand all this backtracking for no good reason but at this point this vote is snowballing so...i tried atleast.

not sure you know but going against your lords order is something of a big no no.
doing it as the son of the high lord ever more on a frowned up on thing because it look like your a undisciplined hothead who does what he wants and thats a bad statement to trow around when you trying too be a role model leader.

Yeah..no, that reading way too much into it. He only told us to stay out of concern not because we are needed with the ships or because we are 'ordered' to do something there. He just wants us not to fight because he's afraid Arstan would die. And that's a big freaking reputation hit.
I again repeat that we are the Heir. We are expected to fight. Expected to lead even, if we stay behind just to not be in danger that will kill any respect the men would have for Arstan and be something people wouldn't forget, we already fought in battles before and people know that. If we are from now on going to stay in safety while letting others do the fighting for us that will be way more of "big no no" since that would be casting Arstan in a cowardly light.
Again I would like to point out We voted yo come here specifically to participate in this damned fight. Why the hell are y'all doing a 180 and choosing not to. This doesn't make any freaking sense and goes against Arstans character as far as I see it.
We wanted this so we could fight and gain experience, maybe earn some mention worthy accolades that could be useful to us in the future. Every big Lord or Warrior of this time earned his fame in this war for the most part, this is literally what we were hoping for and now that we are presented with a chance y'all are backing out for no good reason.

One thing just to say this. It will be a hit to Jons Reputation, not our own because the lords will see it as favoritism towards us.
We will not get in trouble because we were following our father's orders... although a few lords will wonder why we didn't disobey and join the fun.
Wrong if only because we are beholden to three people. Our Father, Ser Gerold and the King.
If we were with Ser Gerold, or the king ordered us to fight, we would be expected to fight.
With our father, we go where he wants us to be because he is our father and we must obey him.

Oh no I dont mean it that way, I meant that as a Lord Paramounts Heir there are a lot of expectations on Arstan that he has or should live up to. Participating in combat when hes able to especially when its together with other Valemen is a big one, if you are a Valemen soldier serving under the Arryns and you see that your Lord or in this case Lords Heir is unwilling to fight along side you even if its symbolical by commanding from the rear is a big moral blow.
I didn't say he is expected to fight right now in this specific case even if that is the case since Arstan has shown that he was willing to follow Gerold in to the absolute bloodbath that man was causing in the previous battle.
