Oh so after Silver Sonic then Sonic Adventure 1 will be starting right. Dang it I was hoping to upgrade either the current Badniks or the old Badniks before we go against Sonic and his friends, well at least we managed to get the Eggpawns, and upgraded Alpha.
 
Silver Sonic

Silver Sonic is one of the oldest and least refined of the Metal Series machines having been built to face Sonic during your creators second confrontation with the Mobian. Needless to say this means that Silver Sonic is very, very, very outdated and that it's build is easily one of the least optimized ones that you have ever seen, and to top it all off it's main method of attack copy of Sonic's 'dash' ability only it is far slower to actually activate and leaves Silver Sonic vulnerable while being initiated... to think that this machine was one one of the Doctors most powerful creations, it really puts you creators years of work into perspective.

Still you have quite a lot of work to do if you want this machine to be much more than a distraction on the battlefield. You have 10 Points.
[x] Armor Update 1: With some effort you can bring SIlvers Sonics armor up to par pound for pound with the doctors other machines... with the amount of armor he has it should actually make him somewhat durable. 2 Points.
[x] Armor Update 2: Now that he's up to par actually utilizing more advanced armor designs in Silver Sonics frame should lead to a truly durable machine to add to your masters forces, though sadly his armor would still be quite a bit weaker than Alphas.. 4 Points.
[x] Laser Eyes: A simple laser weapon added onto Silver Sonics visual sensors. 2 Points.
[x] Speed Increase: While capible of short bursts of speed Silver Sonic is not capible of sustained high speed movement... this should fix that. 4 Points.
[x] Quick Dash: Silver Sonic has a significantly delay before he makes his 'Dash Attack compared to his normal counterpart, this weakness should be eliminated. 4 Points.
[x] Improved Sensors: Silver Sonic is effectively blind when in his 'curled up' defensive state forcing him to exit it often, improving the sensors should mitigate this problem and allow him to dash for longer periods of time. 2 Points.

this should fix some of the biggest issues with the design (for now), and a good first hero unit at least in my opinion.

Well actually 12 once @KidFromPallet updates the list and includes Silver Sonic, we can also get some more points if someone makes an omake.

Edit: Alright here is an idea on what each upgrade gives Silver Sonic.

He will definitely need this if he wants to take a few attacks from Sonic.

He won't be as tough as Alpha or any of the other Metal series but it will make tougher than the badniks

A range weapon if we want Silver to attack from the distance.

If he is supposed to stand against Sonic then he will need to match his speed if he fights against him.

This is probably his main attack so Silver can attack Sonic without any delays.

An artificial Homing Attack, this will prove useful if he goes on missions against G.U.N.

All Sonic will need to need is to move out of the way if Silver does his Dash Attack.

@Kkutlord , we get 10 points for every unit of time we spend during a design phase, and then I get an extra two points to distribute because of keeping the Infosheet up-to-date.

Alright, so, right now Silver Sonic is a slow, clunky, outdated 'bot with about the same durability as a glass window. Unfortunately, we can't fix all of that during this turn. So, we're left with mitigating this as much as possible instead.

My plan has us putting Silver Sonic on a tried-and-true path towards actually succeeding at things: we're making as close a Sonic Clone as possible. With these upgrades, Silver Sonic would be able to sustain normal sprints and spin dashes for far longer, be able to spin dash on a dime and give it a homing attack. Sure, it'd have about the same durability as a moldy breadstick. But as Sonic and pretty much any other platformer proves: durability doesn't matter if you're fast enough to avoid enemy attacks.

I had toyed with the idea of buying both durability upgrades and making Silver Sonic somehwat tanky, but I had to discard it. It just didn't fit the roll that Silver Sonic is meant to play. The Egg Pawns and Alpha are meant to be robots that are out and about in the field, playing guard duty or oppresing citizens or whatever. Thus, what they need is the durability to survive some wannabe Freedom Fighter and the firepower to fight back. Silver Sonic, meanwhile, is the opposite. It's meant to be a credible threat to Sonic, so it needs to keep up. If we send Silver Sonic to fight Sonic, it doesn't matter how tanky we make it if Sonic can just run past it. Don't get me wrong, i'd love to upgrade Silver Sonic's defenses, but doing that right now isn't as useful as upgrading speed and movement.

Sure, it might take fewer hits than it would otherwise. But that doesn't matter if Silver Sonic is able to move and react fast enough to dodge attacks that would otherwise destroy it.



Anyway, with my plan shilling out of the way, lemme move Silver Sonic's research options to the Infosheet.

I will say that being able to adjust his movement during his dash move is less of a proper homing attack since he can't do it in the air but it does unlock a homing attack proper after Adventure 1, and lets him reimain in his destructive ball form for much longer.
 
@KidFromPallet you make good points and ideas on what our upgrades we should get for each Badnik. I just hope someone can make some omakes in in for us to get enough points for armor.
