Especially once Metal Sonic tries to take over the empire for himself, has the Doctor add any more to the Metal series once Metal was defeated? These machines would make ideal higher tier infantry units. However they won't be worthy of such unless we can evolve them from their current posistion of usefulness given their flaws and such.
I wonder if we can gain a sort of respect for Sonic and his friends for fighting against our master no matter the odds. It's interesting how effective we've been, so far. I think we will become an Egg Man beloved lackey, and also a hated enemy to the goodies who will likely try to target us if they know we're responsible for the massive uptick in effectiveness.
It was said that we will be creating a Hero unit to help the boss against Sonic or one of his friends.Nowhere does it say that our creation has to be in the foreground of his plans. I wonder if creating a factory would fall under a more powerful machine, or a device to extract resources we require to produce our machinery?
Generally your points are fixed but if you want to spend extra time on a project you can tell me before the vote and i'll double the points you have at the cost of... well speeding up the time that passes while your at work.
You can also reduce the cost of some modifications by having them on a standardized (Non hero unit) combat platform.
I'd rather get quite a bit more blueprints and designs to work off of before we try and design an original unit.
Why this model out of everything else, unless you are talking about a different Silver Sonic.Btw i personally vote we pick Silver Sonic. He is the most deficient model of those presented. Also, I think we should spend extra time on him. Because once we roll out an effective combat capable doppleganger Eggman will be pretty damn happy.

So it seems like the real name of the game is to upgrade various different generic badniks until we've unlocked enough stuff to give a Hero Unit a full loadout. Kinda like using the mass-produced badniks as field testing for improvements to Heroes.
That says to me either bringing a past badnik up to spec or upgrading a current badnik so it's not so much of a walkover for Sonic & friends would be our best bet, because it would give us more 'insight' into upgrading the Metal series, Alpha the next time we have a go at him, or a future powerhouse. And while boss units are great and all, if we can upgrade one of the badniks to, in tvtropes-talk, Demonic Spider-level (not as bad as That One Boss, but more than the Goddamned Bats that most Badniks are), it might give Boss units a better chance, if the heroes are exhausted from fighting more capable mass-produced units. So should we focus on another mass-produced badnik to upgrade or a Hero unit in order to make some sub-bosses for the Doctor.
So The Unholy Trinity then. The Asterons, Slicers, and Shellcrackers.Robotnik pro'ly still has some old production lines tooled for these things, so we wouldn't have to build a new one, and it wouldn't be the shutting down for retooling that upgrading a current line would be, so it's less likely to annoy our master.
Oh god, do you want to be shut down for cruel and inhuman behaviour, or because Robotnik is afraid of what his next trial will look like if he's created something that regularly thinks up ways to make warcrimes worse?
Well if you don't want those three back we can try to upgrade the Adventure Badniks Robotnik has right now.Oh god, do you want to be shut down for cruel and inhuman behaviour, or because Robotnik is afraid of what his next trial will look like if he's created something that regularly thinks up ways to make warcrimes worse?
But yes, those. Exactly.

Well if you want Silver Sonic than I suggest that you put this to go along with your vote:Because it's the weakest link. Given development time it can become a effective cheap unit of the series as a good baseline. And then we can improve the models that already heads above it even more effectively having started from the basics.

Eh I guess would be easier for @undead frog if we do specify on what machine we would like to upgrade.Hmm..would we just work on the replicas as a whole if we didn't specify? That would be rather interesting.
We can use it as a Mass Production model as well, cause while Sonic won't be bothered by one, but an entire army of them could be interesting.Because it's the weakest link. Given development time it can become a effective cheap unit of the series as a good baseline.
And if Sonic does defeat it, then we can use what we learned in order to make the other Metal Series stronger as well. And then we can improve the models that already heads above it even more effectively having started from the basics.
This is very accurate.Eh I guess would be easier for @undead frog if we do specify on what machine we would like to upgrade.
We will really need to do a overhaul on those machines if we want them to stand against Sonic, his friends, and GUN soldiers going after the emeralds.Master Robots
Not to be confused with the Robot Masters. The Master Robots[1][2] are a group that appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It consists of the bosses that appear in the 8-bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic Chaos. They are an elite Badnik series designed by Dr. Eggman. Built for the...sonic.fandom.com
These are something I'd like to petition be an option for future enhancement. They give us access to lower tier higher quality units to deploy.
So we should start small and work our way up to bigger and stronger machines right.Yeah I think we gain the most from working on Silver Sonic first. It is the most basic models thus needs the most help. And is a good intro to the replica series as a whole. Also Sonic isn't the only enemy, so reliable non-sonic units would mess up other members of the team and G.U.N. for example.

Well we need to make sure that he won't become obsessed with trying to defeat Sonic, cause that's what led to Metal betraying Eggman. My goal is for us to get to that prototype and create the loyal, efficient, and most of all deserved machine our creator should've gotten from Metal Sonic.
I hope not, I hope we become Eggman's most loyal machine.Question? can we turn on Eggman later and become our own faction?I
