Do we have the time to spin up SEA etc? From the sound of it the Cai line is Close and mounted. We want to trigger TE Before they get into the mist.[X] Plan: The Might of the Cai
-[X] Begin the Spring's End Aria bolstered with Echoes of Absolute Winter (With relevant Arts augmented with Joyous Toast), and clear the board and airspace by detonating Traveler's End, taking advantage of the paralysis effect to Lunatic Whirl any of the surviving Third Realms or enemy rangers to neutralize them. Regroup with Renxiang and company (Recalling our Beasts and playing taxi if needed) to face the rogue Bai, and support her and the platoon with our arts from Harmony and Thousand Ring Fortress, relying on Zhengui and Hannyi to be contest his own Spirit Beast's control of the battlespace with the support of the rest of our unit. If we get a chance at a sneak attack of Call to Ending, take it, otherwise, let our liege take the lead here and back her as best we can.
Sure, but he's not spiritual, so SEA isn't helping here, and it's delaying both the clearing of the field and our ability to regroup and start getting our other defensive buffs up.
[X]Plan Gank the Snek
-[X]Use the TE AoE damage to eliminate the bandits and clear line of sight for CRX, take care of any leftover bandits still looking to fight while we link up with Cai and buff. Have Sixiang ask for permission and coordinate our plan to take on the snake with CRX. When CRX and her soldiers join the battle and distracts the Bai, have Hanyi draw the snake spirit while protected by LQ and Zhengui. Zhengui and Hanyi should keep it in place as LQ uses FSS to eliminate it as fast as possible. After defeating the Snake, join up with CRX and her soldiers to fight the Bai. LQ should use FSS as main attack, but use FVM to trap him, if it looks like he will run
I don't expect it to actually kill them or at least not most of them. True there is no such thing as a perfect non-lethal attack, but Travellers End seems as close as anything effective can be.If she just detonates TE without a second thought, wiping out scores of people, that is how easy it will be for her to do it again.
Yeah, I think at this point that our best move is to detonate Traveller's End to eradicate the chaff,
The Bai are absolutely isolationist and not that great at social from what little we know, but they aren't goddamn utterly stupid like this fool.
But he is completely stupid, in that there is no way Shenhua would send CRX out on a test like this without someone watching to make sure she doesn't die. Even if CRX fails here, CRX will still be one of the few Cai around; Shenhua's not going to throw a resource like that away.
I really like the narrative situation with LQ and spirits taking down his spirit while CRX handles the main dude, bonus points if LQ wraps up her fight first.
Anyway, have to go to bed, I'll answer any questions on Might of the Cai before I go to work in the morning.
Opponents should not be assumed to be stupid. Either we are missing info or he is, and the chances are much greater that it is us. So... What sorts of info would make this a smart play for him? Second hidden backup dealing with our backup? Disguise talisman? Agreement to defect and formally pledge loyalty to the Sun if he survives? Idk, and it worries me.
I don't actually think Cai can take the Archer without help, so clearing distractions and preserving our forces keeps retreat options alive.
I'm rather confident it's moon because Sixiang grumbling is mentioned right after it.The only reason I worry about this is the wood and blood echo when Ling got a bit bloodthirst, which pinged me as what we got off of Sun when we fought her. Is this a memory of the bloody moon dream, or is there a bloodlust technique in play?

I'm saying that he's a fucking moron by claiming to be a Bai as if he's not and he doesn't die, the Bai-Cai alliance will torture the shit out of him for info and as retaliation (And if it's one of the Sun like I think, then hooo fucking boy...). Or, in the unlikely event if he actually turns out to be a Bai, the heads of the Bai would come down on him like an avalanche for a) being so fucking stupid to break from the Head/Main family edicts so publicly, b) showing up and doing the attacking themselves, and c) trying to ruin an alliance that's good for the whole for his own petty reasons. The only way he can avoid this is if he dies and the bandits manage to get away.
Either way, flat-out revealing himself and claiming to be a Bai was two stupid moves that'll hurt him.
