Not... not particularly. The math section is a dangerous place to go to especially when it comes to making predictions about the future. Predictions involving math are only as good as the information used, and when that information can change with an event, super drug, or other commitments it means the predictions will be in constant flux.
Where are we ignoring them again?

While I am voting for this, my one concern is that this may negatively impact Ling Qingge cultivation progress. So I wonder if now that Ling Qingge has awakened if it would be possible to hire a cultivation tutor for her.

Mostly because one of her spirit is a muse, another is a lonely child/teenager (spirit) that just got separate from both of her parents and another is her little brother/child that just mention that a 'embarrassed' dream was given him trouble. So I with the guys wishing for this option (plus her mortal family interaction).

I feel people are misrepresenting this option.
This isn't us paying to spend time with our family. This is us investing time into our family.
If they are to be useful then we must spend time to cultivate them.
Already our mother has broken through Already she has taken control of the household. Already our sister shows potential. Already our interaction with our family shapes our Way. Already we know our family will be seedlings for our future clan in service to the Cai.
Much like with all our other friends it takes time and effort to grow them into useful resources. But they always prove useful.
Pretending that we're throwing away AP for pure sentiment is foolish. We cannot afford weakness here, if our family is weak then they are a weakness to us as well. But if they are strong then they will only carry us further.

The '1 month of cultivation' thing is kinda missleading. We are not sacrificing an entire turn here. For one, Skill and Attribute rolls remain unchanged. For second, we can and will prioritize what we can and cant do. 1 AP/month should therefore have little effect on the base cultivation or the core arts. What will instead get axed for this will be 'nice to have' projects. i.e. say ENM or AFL would take roughly 5 AP each, so the 20 AP we are talking about are really more like 4 archive arts. This far less of a problem than one month missed cultivation

While I'm happy she has her family around and all, this isn't the direction I want her story to go, at least for now. Girl deserves the real hs/college experience. I want a focus more on friendship than family for the time being. I'm happy for her to spend time with her mother and baby sis, but I don't want it to take THIS MUCH focus this soon.
As for her spirits, they're gonna be a part of everything just being her spirits.

They barely get any focus at all. Even with the AP they'll still get swamped by the combined screentime of Meizhen, Xiulan, CRX and her other friends in the future.

I thought AP only mattered for the main plan, not the skill plan?
Skill and Attribute rolls are independent from AP. That is the reason why skill plans are separated from AP plans during turn votes

You're arguing for us to ignore them in the narrative to focus on more cultivating.
It doesn't matter if she maintains them passively, we'll still never get to actually see or interact with them unless we vote for it. So yes we the players are ignoring them.

That's preeeeetty harsh. No one here is arguing for *ignoring* our family. They do regularly get screen time, in fact, the latest events were explicitly about them. That is the 'status quo'.
And I honestly feel that is fine. This story/quest shouldn't be all about Ling Qi and her family, nor should it be all about Ling Qi sitting in a cave and cultivating face punching. I honestly feel the current balance is good, even if I would certainly like to see even more events and screen time for a lot of people. Meizhen, Renxiang, Xiulan... just about everyone of our friends. Biyu and Qingge included. But Yrs's writing time is limited, and story bloat is a thing, too. So I am not comfortable with the interpretation that spending the AP means guaranteed Family scenes. It needs to fit the story and narrative.
That is not 'ignoring' anyone.
As well they should be. Qingge, and Biyu with her, is one social interaction. Of course that is going to end up with less screen time than literally every other character we are friends with combined.
