I mean, thats an assumption at least, but then again it's not like we needed a Cai SL in order to set up that Composition Ling Qi prepped for her Challenge last turn either. And that was a hell of a song in and of itself too.

I'm not entirely sure what you are driving at here? It's not really an assumption that we have yet to have a conversation about Xuan Shi's favor or greeting our household and the potential to make a song out of the experience.
It's quite possible that exploring the temple with Xuan Shi would create a stronger piece of music than exploring with Li Suyin, but we have already had a conversation with Sixiang about creating music from Li Suyin's adventure and we have not had that conversation regarding Xuan Shi's favor. So the story has already primed us as the questers, and Ling Qi in the story, about the potential for composition from Li Suyin's adventure. The other options don't have that benefit.

After thinking some more i'm changing my vote for:

- Li Suyin action would benefit a lot from even just this month's arts training as that increases our combat effectiveness by a lot. Zhengui being present would also help a lot, if only in defending her.
- Xuan Shi action would somewhat benefit from both a social and a combat point of view from Zhengui presence and our own improvements be it just raw physical cultivation or the few perception/steath arts we have on our plate.
- Comparatively Qingge action will hardly benefits at all from us waiting a month or two to do it, so doing it now reaps us maximum profit for this action, while allowing the other two to grow better rewards.

So long as you recognize that both the Cave dive and the Temple Breakin are equally valid sources of inspiration, then there's no problems on my end.
Suyin needs to get off her ass and breakthrough to green.

Responding to the broader statement, it hasnt really been an issue before, and quite frankly i dont think it will in the future. Music is all about enchantment and illusions in media, both things which mesh well with stealth.
Also we use our music to attack, if we are stealthing we shouldn't be atracking.
Finally i'm not that concerned with optimization. People learn different skills for different things

I was on the fence for this one, as I like Li Suyin better but we've sponged more off of Xuan Shi. I initially voted for Xuan Shi based on the feeling of obligation, but with the meta-time 4d reasoning I'm back on Suyin. Voting for Suyin means Xuan Shi doesn't ask for a favor until next month, while voting for Shi means Ling Qi blows off Suyin's cave dive for a month.

Is it just me or could this update be foreshadowing an incursion by the Cloud Tribes during Ling Qi's time in the Sect? Perhaps not soon, but within this year or the next? Anyway,

I like Xuan Shi and hope we'll get to his task in the future, but I like Li Suyin more. Besides, this will hopefully get Li Suyin's social link to rank 4, and I really want that.

Can this be improved by doing it later?
Yes, absolutely, escort missions are massively improved by having Zhengui so that Suyin can have an escort while Ling Qi blitzes ahead to crack tougher mobs.
And not to mention Suyin breaking through would help a lot. She should be close by now, either this month or the next.
