[X] Ino does not look happy. She needs you now. Go find her before she gets too far away.
I actually disagree with your metaphor here. There are NO bullets that can possibly do anything less than impact their target and impart kinetic energy (excepting blank rounds, which are not actually bullets). There are some with additional effects, but nothing with less.
There are plenty of Genjutsu which have negligible effects or even potentially benevolent ones (though there are few benevolent ones, admittedly).
*Remembers chunin exams*Tbf, Asuma did teach his team. He just didn't teach his team conventionally. Especially since they had their clan to fall back on for their combat techniques. So I'd say Asuma was actually a pretty decent teacher.
On terms of teaching, I personally rank it Gai > Asuma > Kurenai > Kakashi.
[X] Ino does not look happy. She needs you now. Go find her before she gets too far away.
Ino needs us fuck Mariko.
Making ground rules with someone who hates you doesn't end well.Just want to say that while we are friends with and care about Ino. We aren't going to be able to hold her hand for everything. She is upset. But going to her isn't going to change the fact that we aren't on her team and she isn't on ours. We can meet her later at her house when tempers aren't as hot. Right now, we should set some ground rules with Mariko and meet up with Kiba before Kurenai comes in. Lets clear the air before meeting our new teacher.
Uh, guys, I think it's a really bad idea to go eat lunch with Mariko. She's not gonna forget anything over just a single lunch, right now she will start shit, Daisuke is stressed, his best friend is in a rage/panic/hurt and he is not gonna be in a good headspace for this. An unsupervised lunch will end with Daisuke breaking Mariko's teeth or her attacking Daisuke. It won't give us ammunition, it won't help team dynamics and it won't help Daisuke right now.
Furthermore, how is Ino going to feel? This ain't just a 'she can deal with it'. This is her having someone she's spent every day with since she was a little kid separated from her, there will be a drift unless both work very hard to keep the relationship, and it will not be as close as it once was. She realises this, realises her childhood dream of being with the person closest to her in the whole world has been shattered.
And then she'll physically see that, instead of said best friend trying to comfort her, he went with the person who's tried to make her life miserable since she was five out for lunch.
That will only further enhance her worries of them drifting, made worse by who she'll see Daisuke chose over her.
When the cards were down, Ino choose to stick by Daisuke, over her friends and over her connection to a cousin, she choose to help him and now she needs him more than ever.
It's not fair if we just hurt her more right now.
Tbf, Nothing did happen! Asuma was practicing Shikamaru's way of living.:lolAsuma: Don't worry Chouji, we will stop stop the fight if you are going to be hurt. Like how we stopped Neji from killing Hinata.
Shikamaru: Bitch, you are the only one who didn't jump in when that happened!
Like seriously. Hayate, Gai, Kurenai and Kakashi all went in to separate them and Asuma chilled. Shikamaru comments on it.
[] Ino does not look happy. She needs you now. Go find her before she gets too far away.
Because: a) Mariko is angry at the moment too and b) I want to point out to Ino that we are the ones on a team with Mariko so she should be consoling us instead. For the lols.
But we have to make a token effort and hopefully Mariko will calm over lunch. I also find it amusing that this all started over trying to have lunch with her.
Which always confused me. Why AREN'T there more benevolent genjutsu? Hell, why has no one tried time compression before like Tsukiyomi? The amount you could do with time compression is insane. Not to mention stuff like Therapy genjutsu and stuff.
Telling Ino to 'suck it up we're not gonna hold your hand' is completely ignoring a lot. Ino was so absolutely certain she'd be with Daisuke forever that it never even came into her head at any point that they'd be on separate teams, despite the fact Ino-Shika-Cho is a tradition she definitely knows about. She has been with him every single day and they have stood buy each other every single day of their lives since they were five, as even as babies they interacted a great deal.
Yeah, Daisuke means that much to her
This is Ino having the most important person in her entire life separated, she'll spend weeks away from him in her mind, they'll both be busy much of the day. The times where'd they'd spend nearly every moment not at home hanging out or together is gone.
This isn't her having to grow up, this is a near inconceivable separation for her. I really don't have any comparison for it. Just know that she is gonna be in a bad place right now and needs a hug. Not only that but leaving with the person who's tried t make her miserable for years is just gonna hurt her.
I'm sorry dude this isn't holding her hand for everything, this is a comforting hug and talk before they start to separate themselves from each other in a way they haven't since they were five.
Did I miss something in the omakes or story? Why are people acting like Mariko, a child petulantly angry at us, is a psychopath? It's surreal to see people get so upset over and invested in a children's feud.
oh noesMaking ground rules with someone who hates you doesn't end well.

Yeah no, sorry mate, but that's not gonna work, you don't just 'clear the air' with someone who actively hates your guts for a majority of their life and even went so far as to try and use a Jutsu on you.ude, we are meeting Kurenai right after this you know. We should be clearing the air right now before she comes in. We should at least lay some groundwork or have a talk with Kiba and Mariko before Kurenai comes in. It would be better for anything to come out now than when Kurenai meets us for the first time
No, she won't cut ties or see it as a betrayal logically. I don't think I ever said that, but I can get why you'd interpret it as such.his does a disservice to Ino. She is our best friend. Just because we don't run after her she isn't going to cut ties with us. She isn't going to take this as some sort of horrible 'betrayal'. The idea that we won't be friends with Ino any more is pretty out there. And to think that Ino would think so as well is ... very un-Ino like.

I'll be honest here. That sounds like a unhealthy attachment that she has to us. If that is how the relationship actually is, then I sort of understand why Ino's dad dislikes us.
Please don't. I'm honestly of the opinion that it is better to clear the air now, when Kurenai isn't around than for this to all erupt when she is. Also, we can see Ino later on tonight when she has calmed down and console her if she still has misgivings.
oh noOn over hand... why not? Katsuragi repeatedly pick choices what directly fuck up thread choices. I d say they have a reason to complain.
Why do you think it will work? Mariko has carried her grudge for 6 years and has had no problem displaying it in front of authority figures. It would go against everything we have seen from her till now to be reasonable about it. Her first reaction was rage and her current attitude towards us is also spelled out as rage. If "clearing the air" would be so simple it should have happened before.
Why? It's actually better for Kurenai for stuff like this to be in the open so she knows what to work with and tailor her training to fit what she knows rather than it happening during a mission or something and it comes off as a surprise. Please don't. I'm honestly of the opinion that it is better to clear the air now, when Kurenai isn't around than for this to all erupt when she is. Wow, your argument is both intelligent and compelling, such notably in depth analysis of empathy and people, surely you must have many friends who you don't mistreat, because you so obviously care about people's feelings. Furthermore you actually seem to have read what I wrote in my comments, unlike many who in comparison to you just ignored most of it and then started being insulting.oh noes
ino cant handle time away from us.

...Well then.oh no
People choose options that appeal to them instead of caving to the masses.
This is why we need communism irl folks. Dastardly assholes like Katsu. I don't understand how he gets away with it. We need to rise up against our bourgeouis overlords and string them up from the gibbets.

But it will certainly hurt like an absolute bitch to see her best friend walk away with her new team, including Mariko.
And frankly, Ino doesn't deserve to be kicked in the balls twice today, she's likely gonna yell at her dad for this, Daisuke leaving her when she's in notable emotional distress is gonna make it so she at least cries a bit. Even if rationally knows they still care for each other and will always be together, as lovers, pseudo siblings, best friends or whatever.
However o don't want to hurt her more, she doesn't deserve that at this point and not after she's already done so much and always stood bye Daisuke no matter what.
When it ostracised her, she was still there, when Daisuke needed someone to help him, she was there.
Now it's Daisuke's turn.
