[X] No, you'll pack up and head to class right now. You haven't missed a day yet and you're not starting now!

@Vesvius 100xp to Yin Release: Tone of Discord please.
Heard!
[X] See if you can get your teachers for approval to work on this instead of reviewing old stuff. Prove you know it already, if you have to! (Tag @Vesvius for Approval)
Worth a shot. Approved.

Please put them on Senses (450) for Intermediate (500 XP).

Is this referencing Fonzie?
Heard. And it is not. All the 'Memories of' Achievements involve my other quests
@Vesvius can we ask iruka for help in getting someone to practice our new genjutsu on as we develop it?
You can, but his success will vary.

Let the Games Begin by djehuty3 (canon)
I... may have done another Omake. @Vesvius , I hope you like it. It's called False Starts.

The Games are an excellent idea, in Daisuke's opinion. Even by his standards, which are pretty high. Befriending Ino, for instance. Excellent idea. Trading hair care tips with Sasuke. Letting Goro do your chores in exchange for having lunch with you and mom. All genius. Stuff of legend.

But the Games are truly inspired. Equal parts team bonding exercise, specialist tutoring on everyone's skillsets, and grounding rod for social disharmony, it was by far your favourite innovation.

...Well.

It was your favourite innovation now. As long as you ignored the... false starts...

"Explain this to me again?"
"It's simple. You, me and Yui each have a dozen of these balloons full of horse manure."
"Ino..."
"And we throw them all at Daisuke and Jibari. If they can knock them away, they get a point. If they can't, we do."
"Ino, I have a sword, I can't-"
"Interesting. And if they can't knock them away?"
"Then they get covered in horse manure and we get a point!"
"Ino, I am sorry I forgot your birthday, will you please just-"
"Aaaaaaand THROW!"
***
"...So it's baseball."
"I mean, that's one way of looking at it."
"An accurate way."
"With one important difference! We will be covering the ball in exploding tags!"
"This-"
"BATTER UP!"
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*
***
"Okay. So first you spin the bottle-"
"No."
***
"I... I really feel-"
"And then we're going to read Kurosawa's Clear Communication No Jutsu: A Mist Nin's Guide to Making Friends and Influencing People, and you and Yui will do a presentation on it, and then Ino and Jibari will do Uchiha's My Eyes Make Me Better Than You: Civilian Etiquette for Ninjas, and I'll do The Complete History of Konoha volumes one to thirty six with footnotes. Any questions?"
"It's just yours is thirty five thousand pages long, Sakura-"
"Good point. Volumes one to fourty seven. Thanks, Dai."
"...You don't think perhaps a little sparring might-"
"TO THE LIBRARY!"
***
"So me and Sakura go into the closet-"
"No, Naruto."
***
"...That's a Rube Goldberg Machine."
"Yes."
"...And you are standing at the end."
"Yes."
"And we have to start it, and then you'll kawarimi with... with every single thing in said Rube Goldberg machine."
"Yes."
"And if it works, we buy you lunch."
"Yes."
"...I'd complain, but I genuinely want to see you do this."
"I thought you might. JABARI! PUUUUUUUUUUUUSH!"
***

"Making out. We all make out. It's a make out game."
"Naruto, this is a private training session, please, just go home."
***
...Okay. So maybe Daisuke need to go back to the drawing board.

EDIT: Also, voting, since that's apparently quite important in this Quest business.

[X] Yes, you'll skip class today, but you won't go habitual. There're still people to see and things to learn in the Academy that you won't get on your own.

@Vesvius

Tossing in my 50xP on Tone of Discord. Gotta keep up with that Journeyman Genjutsu thing.
Heard!
50 exp to perception @Vesvius

If someone has 30 exp to spare to rank it up we can get the 14 adept achievement!

I kinda loved this more than I should have. Take 60 XP and canon.
F*ck, good catch.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but could I change my 50x to 30xp to Perception and 20xp Tone of Discord?
No problem. Heard!

Hmm. I like the concept of our new genjutsu(s) but I'm a bit concerned.

Our technique, and possibly a whole array of sister techniques, seem to rely on not one, but two distinctive, hard to replace items. Personally, I'm leery about relying on items. If we're caught without (sleeping, disguised) or disarmed, then that's a large chunk of our combat ability missing.

Swordsman relying on a sword is fine. There are trade-offs, but sword beats fist in most situations so it's probably worth it. Just gotta be careful to manipulate the situation to play to our strengths, as everybody does. It's the eternal struggle of a specialist.

What I'm worried about is the fan. Recently stolen by an academy student playing a prank, fan. Family heirloom, passed down by a courtesan, fan.

Can we carry around multiple durable combat fans instead of relying on a single priceless (to us) heirloom?

Better yet, design our armour to be able to produce the same (or similar) tones when struck by kunai?

Oh hey that's a cool defense idea when our opponent is the one hitting our armor

It's all about metal on metal. We just have to replace using the fan with wearing a simple ring on our finger. It's way more inconspicuous, too.

...That is an excellent point. Hmm. I have to imagine warfans are a thing in Konoha- could we go looking in weapon shops? I mean, if we explain it to Mom, I imagine she'd immediately help, too.

I'm not sure how much more reward XP Tone of Discord needs at this point. At 750 XP for mastery, it should cap on its own before long.
