We know it is reconnaissance but if we get this done it will provide significant benefits to the attempt and give us favors to try and push for the attempt.

I was responding to them because they were writing it out as if pushing forward means we got Isha free. I'm voting for pushing forward anyways it is about as bad as retreat since we might get help from Isha.

[X] Push forward- You have come this far, you are not willing to falter on the final stretch. - One DC 230 roll, one DC 160 plague roll, then retreat. On survival earn honourbound favour from Eldar, on death earn minor favour.

Convinced me

I have not seen this many people vote since we were voted on weather to give the colonies rights or not.
I'm someone who follows this quest but doesn't really participate that much, as I feel a bit intimidated by the way the turn structure works, which makes the prospect of voting seem a bit overwhelming. However, this action is something that doesn't require balancing different actions across a turn lasting years. It's far simpler. Add to that its importance, and the fact it captures the imagination in a way that an ordinary turn vote would not, and I think it's entirely natural that so many more people are participating this turn.

for the most part I being unable of following a multi page discussion with pro/cos of a turn vote. Because if I vote I would wish to help in bringing the best of what Avernus is. Also Since I not read all the pasts discussions for multiple turn I would not understand the whys of the choices in the present turn.

Case in point some of the investigations and the recent plan of the martial tech last turn got me surprise. I know that there is a reason for the choices and I know that is a reason for only now get those choices (like the MC having too much work at the same time). This interlude is easier compare to that.

Well good luck to us all ^^.

[X] Fall Back- You have mapped out almost all of the path and confirmed Isha's presence, with the plague in you pushing forward leaves to great a risk of dying and losing all that you have gained. - Retreat, earn major favour from Eldar on survival and minor favour on death.

If there is something important to vote on that happens.

If the choice is between Plan Enjou and Plan Enjou with changes it is hatd to motivate voters. Look at any real world election were the choice is between corrupt politican A and B.

Let us not risk death on Hallow's Eve, shall we?

Some days are simply too much to make me feel comfortable.

[x] Push forward.

This smells of one of those 40k Crazy Awesome scenarios. Plus Durin has hinted that other seers might be putting their own measures into play.

The most critical thing for me is that pushing forward is only slightly more dangerous than retreating. One roll to get in and find Isha, with failure not being instant-death. And if we make that roll we may get cures and or blessings from Isha. Consider the difference between a major and honour-bound favour. Consider the narrative weight of having successfully found Isha and what that might do for breaking through the Transcendence barrier.

We have much to gain for competitively little risk.

In order. Ridcully does have an enuncia panic bomb. We have the DCs for the next part and success is basicly a coinflip and his escape chance if he fails that one check is roughly another coinflip. Finally people are stacking extra omake bonuses on this.

So its more like a 1/4 chance of complete failure. Not great but possibly worth the risk.

Am I misunderstanding something? We have to take each roll again (Except for the Path ones) on the way back so isn't taking another 50% actually a 25%? And Escape isn't a 50/50, its even odds if we're in the Kitchen, its worse if we go further in.

- the finding the paths and the plague rolls after that. also failure does not mean instant death

wiping out Turoq would be a major favour
@Durin
1. Should everything go up **** creek how confident is Ridcully that he could make an escape?
2. I am curious did the skull give his name (and did he have a cape :D)
1. it depends on the lcotion, form where he is, low odds, from past the kitchen even odds, from outside the mansion good odds
2. no and he does have a cloak
It feels like people are underselling the odds.

No, Durin said we would need to take this last roll only once. Though this probably means that we wouldn't need to roll second time for the Kitchen if we just retreated but will need to if we press forwards.

Okay so we take the roll as we move into the area, probably.
[Q] Pitch a tent, you live here now.
If we never leave we never take another test. If we never take another test we never get caught.

Desperate measures
Desperate measures

Braeszon was a great Eldar seer, yet he was not the greatest among them. Talented yes, but only enough to become great. Experienced, yes, but far from the oldest among the eldar. A hero, yet not a legend. So in retrospect it is perhaps unsurprising that he was the first among the seers to be detected in Nurgle's garden, not even halfway through the defenses.

"Oh, now who is this?" A fatherly voice asks.

Braeszon whips his head around and stares at his new foe. A Greater deamon of Nurgle, a Lord of Decay. A powerful foe, but not one that would be impossible to escape from, with the right preparations. Preparations he had taken, of course.

"Nothing much." He replied, edging away from his newest foe.

"Trying to take advantage of the, ahem, chaos to sneak a peak, are you young man?" The monster beyond sanity continues kindly. "Well, if you want to understand the good father that much, come with me. I'll ensure you learn all about the kindness of Papa Nurgle."

"I must decline." Braeszon replies, reaching behind him and drawing a blade.

A simple sword, forged of steel falls into his hands. Once a blade of purity, of faith, it is now a twisted and corrupted thing, its power twisted by the thing its master slew and bound to it so long ago. Braeszon feels its whispers the moment it leaves its sheath, which itself is yet another legendary artifact, forged by a shard of Vaul to temporarily restrain the deamon within. He raises the blade over his knees.

"Now son, lets put the sword down and we can talk about this." the daemon starts

Braezon brings his hands down, driving ancient steel against modern wraithplate. Bound to a daemon or not, the steel loses. And the deamon within is released once more.

"Who dares to summon the Master of Masters, the Deliverer of Darkness, the Shogun of Sorrow, Aku?" The deamon thunders as it cries its freedom to the world. "Without that foolish Samurai no one shall... wait a minute." The demon trails off, its eyes blinking in confusion. "This is Nurgle's Garden." He turns on the Eldar. "Why did you release me, a Lord of Change, in Nurgles garden?"

"I need a distraction." Braeszon replies without shame.

"I hate you." Aku replies flatly, his beard smoldering with wraith.

"Just as planned." Braeszon replies, a grin on his face.

"Nice one." The Great Unclean One laughs in amusement.

For a moment out of time the three pause at each other. Then Braeszon and Aku bolt in opposite directions, scrambling desperately for safety. And the lord of Nurgle, acting according to its nature, charges after Aku.

A/N: 40k, where you deliberately unleash Aku as a distraction. @Durin
