You should remove the x from the bracketrs unless you are planning on changing votes.
Ahh, thanks. I took out the first one, but I forgot to do the same for the second.
I don't really see how trying to cripple Tokei in a sneak attack is any better though. Is Daisuke's stealth higher than Tokei's perception?
It's about using the environment and wits to land a crippling strike not using stealth. Tokei would have to exit through the door which gives us a clear shot to hit that wouldn't rely on our nonexistent sword-wielding skills, and afterwards, we would engage him with our main combat skill.
Besides, we chose to be a ninja not a samurai, so let's not fight as a dumb samurai blindly swinging his blade about and instead as a ninja using our wits and playing to our strengths.
Also, if the aim of the leading combat option is to ultimately get help by stalling and dodging till it arrives than the blade would be nothing more than deadweight that would prevent Daisuke from dodging.
As for running I don't think it matters if Tokei has his sword or not. He can probably kill Daisuke with the knife he's wielding anyway.
The reach of the katana is longer which means he would have an easier time cutting us down if we were running than with his knife.
The running vote is for those who hope that help comes fast, and it's not unreasonable that it could. There has to be someone patrolling somewhere and Manami will probably try to stop Tokei in whatever way she can. She'll fail but it'll give Daisuke a few secs at least.
It's unlikely that Manami will be able to hinder Tokei if we chose the run option. He's already knocked her aside, and if he sees Daisuke run outside, he'll jolt after him. Manami won't be able to catch up.
Even if he can overcome any obstacle, does not mean that he can do it without help.
...I technically have Manami backstabbing or at least grabbing Tokei. That's someone helping.
Those windows, A, eliminates the majority of the blind spot that you are counting on and, B, allow Tokei to see that we aren't running off. Also the plan makes the assumption that Tokei would stop and open the door rather than break it down or go through the window.
...stupid windows.
It doesn't matter, but Tokei jumping through the windows is just needlessly dumb on his part and breaking down the door wouldn't have been a problem so long as it didn't fly forward instead of opening to the side.
Welp, there goes any and all hope I had of us surviving this encounter. There's still the sunroof plan, but I doubt anyone's going to go for that,
not like anyone was going for the door plan anyways.
Tokei can be beaten. He's like a Soulsborne tutorial boss. He's meant to kill you. You're meant to fail and die; however, so long as you play smart, you can win and survive.
I don't have confidence in the leading plans to keep us alive. I welcome being proven wrong, but I believe this is one encounter we're going to fail.
Also, fighting a samurai with a blade that you don't know how to use is dumb as is fighting dirty with a blade you don't know how to use and dodging with a blade that is unwieldy for you to carry.
