Guys lets stay united in this vote. Please afford me a minute of your time to explain why.

Firstly, this plan denies Tokei his preferred choice of weapon. Secondly, the success of this plan does not rely on a singular event; our fighting dirty will be used to create multiple opportunities. Thirdly, it focuses on our strengths using Gai's lessons to evade Tokei's attacks. Lastly, it calls the aid of nearby ninja as well.

...We're stabbing it into his leg/torso. If he wants to use it, he'll have to yank it out of his body which will be pretty hard when we're punching him.

While I would usually agree with you as it's logical, I can't in this case as our character isn't exactly working off real-life logic but game logic. We have express points and stats telling us our abilities, and they're telling us that we're completely untrained with blades and competent with fists. Now, I would almost never bet on fists over a blade, but stuff in games don't always make sense. Bikini armor is stronger than leather armor, sticking people full with arrows in their head won't kill them, etc.

Don't forget, while he was taking it easy, we managed to spar with Gai and even surprised him by ripping off his mask. We're not a complete scrub even if our instincts tells us we should be.

I don't think our mother is going to give Tokei that choice. She's not gonna just stop trying to protect the son she loves, and if she continues resisting she will die. So, if we run away, there's a high likelihood that he will kill her and then come after us.

She's using her body to protect us - at some point, he'll grow tired and strike her down, and he doesn't like her enough to do it nonlethally.

I'm not sure it will attract other ninja quickly. It specifically says to "be loud and boisterous" not call for help. In my interpretation, it will take someone paying attention to tell that we need help since Daisuke isn't explicitly indicating he's in danger. Our voice will blend into the background.

Is he really gonna waste time killing her, a ninja is within earshot of us. He needs to kill us fast.

This is why when in trouble you're supposed to shout out, "FIRE!" Because everyone will respond to fire, and the possibly(?) closest thing the Leaf has to a fire department are the Uchiha Police Department who should be familiar enough with fire techniques to be able to put one out.

Just realizing something.... This is a Game of the Year quest. Yes, I'm aware that's obvious but it also brought something to mind. Game of the Year was like the original Chunin Exam Day in that the MC almost always died before coming back even stronger. I kinda went into this with the assumption that, like with most quests, our chances of dying were abysmal due to plot protection. However, with the knowledge that we'll reset after death and need to start things over from another setting or life of some sort, it brings to mind that we need to be as careful as possible because we can and will be killed if we don't think every action through.

Sorry if this seemed obvious to many, it just struck me as an epiphany of sorts.

That isn't going to work. He's never once thought of us as family and disdained our presence. He's basically hated us for our entire life thinking of us a stain of honor that he has to waste his life guarding.

Besides, this is something we know as we've always been aware of his relationship status, so it's not like our appeal would even be completely earnest or heartfelt which would show.

Doesn't mean it isn't worth doing; we're coming at this not from the perspective, but the illusion to others of a young child. I'm not saying it'll work outright, but we are aware that there was something beyond disdain in the past, even if it no longer exists. The hope is that it drudges up something at the very least; moreso is that we've grown up with him, he's watched us progress from infancy and I'm hoping that on some level it meant something to him.

Worst case scenario, doesn't do jack shit, he interrupts us because lack of care and we go straight back to gtfo
 
To all the people voting for the vote that talks about being loud and boisterous outside?

1: Block voting means that the half dozen variations on the vote, with different sub votes? All count as different votes. Please just go back to the default in order to consolidate.

2: It's a pointless and potentially harmful rewording of a non-write in option. Please just switch to that instead?

If you want to go for the speech option, then you're appealing to the wrong thing.

He doesn't give jack shit about us.

What he does care about is his sister and his honor. Play up to that. How he would be killing a child he swore to protect, and how could he hold his sister's baby when his hands are stained with the blood of a child?

Even if it can't, we can't be afraid of failure in a quest that explicitly has "you're going to die a few times" as part of the premise. The least we can do is try to prepare with additional information for the next session. Because information > physical stats. We only carry one into the next 'life'.

He's actively trying to kill us, and has escalated to that decision entirely of his own accord. What on earth makes you think that he would listen to us, or that we would have any hope of resolving things peacefully? What do you accept our precociousness to achieve, and what kind of concessions do you possibly think we could acquire?
