I will reiterate this point one last time, barely trained 5 year olds can not beat a trained Samurai. Anyway I'm off for some reason I don't seem to be very convincing.
 
[X] Grab Tokei's sword, and start running up the stairs. When he gets close, launch yourself backwards and try stabbing the Samurai. When you hit the floor, throw yourself away from the stairs and run for help. If he grabs you, fight as hard as you can and don't be afraid of dirty tricks.

Here's to hoping we make it through this to keep the sword as our first murder memento.

I don't understand why we would trap ourselves inside the building, and why we would think we as a 5 yr old could beat a fully grown, fully trained samurai.

You guys aren't even picking a sub-optimal choice, it's literally the worst choice and makes no sense strategically. ​
 
I think my main Issue with the sword vote is that we're closer to the door then we are to the stairs. Also Tokei is gonna see us take the sword so the surprise factor isn't going to be there.

I don t think that the blade will help us and is more likly make tokei get it from us after all we don t now how to use one properly

There's bravery and there's foolishness, and right now it's very hard to tell which is which. There is barely any chance that we can beat a fully trained samurai so I'm leaning towards foolishness.

However we just had a chat with Miato Guy that nothing is impossible. We can and will win this, somehow. Winning against all odds is part and parcel of being a ninja after all.

Honestly, this could go any way with almost any of the options. The fog of battle plus trained if rusty Samurai times the MC's ... MC-ness, means it's very difficult to predict with 100% certainty what will happen. Plus, since this is GOTY death is only the beginning. /imhotep

Thus, we might as well go for broke.

Also, people, why are you all voting to take an heavy sword, run up the stairs with it, then somehow leap back and stab him?

You're trying to jump backwards at someone with a unwieldy, too-large-for-you blade. That's more likely to result in us tripping or literally jumping right into his arms than anything else.

I think we're still exhausted. It's one of the reasons why we won't be able to run away or fight Tokei effectively.

This is a bad situation all around. You're right, those are some things that can happen. We can also fall down the stairs with Tokei or get stabbed by him. Trying to stab him this way seems like the best way to disable Tokei temporarily at least. It will buy us some time to call for help.

If we just run out the door, Tokei will catch up with us and kill us pretty quickly. I don't think he cares if he gets caught killing us. He seems resigned to staining his honor in eliminating us in the update. We need help to actually arrive before we're killed, and this seems to give us a tiny shot at that happening.

You're pretty winded, but adrenaline is a hell of a drug. You'll be okay for the very immediate future, cardio wise. Don't expect to last for long though.

Alright, one thing I should reiterate from the update is that any plan that has the ultimate goal of running away is ultimately pointless. Our adrenaline will run out, and Tokei will catch up to us, and he will kill us.

If we want to succeed, we have to fight and beat him. It seems stupid and impossible, but that's the road to victory.

There's a reason why Vesvius put this speech in the same update where we're locked into a desperate, seemingly unwinnable fight for survival. It was him telling us that we have to fight. Maybe not fight stupidly but fight nevertheless.

Also, this is our reward for choosing Insane difficulty. "Are you not entertained?!"

-[X] Ask for him to have the common decency to at least lock your mother up, unharmed, in a different room so she doesn't have to watch her son get murdered. You have no intention on running, you're too tired, so you might as well have a seat while you wait for him to return.

I'm not too worried, he's still in the tutorial stage and if he fails then next time he will be ready for fucking tokei up (or at least makeing sure gai sensei takes us with him)...

@Vesvius Where are stairs located, and what is the general layout of the house?

Our current position seems to be:

Us: Pressed next to the door in a hallway

Mom: Knocked aside

Tokei: Closing in on us

Where are the stairs in relation to us?

Since this is the character's house, can you tell us what's upstairs that our character potentially thinks he can use?

We apparently know that there are multiple knifes hidden around the house. Do we know their exact locations?
Though I feel like using knives will be a trap as we have absolutely no experience with them at all.

One extra detail, Tokei loves his sister who is apparently a mother whose expecting a baby boy.

If we want to throw him off center for a moment, we can say something along the lines of "What would your sister say if she knew you killed a child, A CHILD YOU WERE SWORN TO PROTECT! Could you dare to hold her baby in your arms, little baby Tokei in the bloody hands of a child killer?"

This could probably throw him off guard...or piss him off even more, but what the heck. He's trying to kill us anyways.
