[X] New In Town. You're not from around here. Your family is a new arrival in Konoha, and it definitely shows.

[X] Son of the Shops. You come from a long line of peddlers, and have been haggling with anyone and everyone since the moment you learned to talk.

Perhaps. But it's less likely they would be as up in arms about us hanging out with an orphan nobody than snooty rich parents likely would. They also wouldn't have servants to constantly keep an eye on us, which could be ninja if they are a ninja clan.
They wouldn't need to. The town talks. And besides, our parents probably wouldn't want their reputation to be even worse.

Or maybe they might have empathy for a kid who is being discriminated against for no apparent reason, what with how they're also treated like that for differences they can't help. At least they're more likely to think that way than the Scion's parents, who will have an established reputation that they're likely going to be motivated to protect. And even if the New to Town kid's parents try to get us to not hang out with Naruto, there's far, far less they can actually do about it. Being the wealthy family's scion will have its own drawbacks.

Ya know. Besides being our parents and punishing us anyway they desire or outright disowning us. Seriously, you underestimate public opinion of Jinchuriki period

The out of town parents would presumably have normal income. They could ground us, perhaps, but if we're training to be a ninja we could just sneak out. Not like they can watch us 24/7. And if they'd disown us over it, then fuck them, they're not worthwhile.

The Scion's parents would have servants, which may include other ninjas if its a clan of ninjas, who could explicitly keep us from doing that. And they likely would use those to manage our life if we decided to do things they didn't approve of.

Also, not everyone in the village hated Naruto, even knowing what he had inside of him. Iruka didn't, and neither did the folks at that ramen stand he frequented. There were likely others as well. The hate wasn't ever truly universal. For those who did hate him, his pranks certainly didn't help, as the fed into the bad perceptions, but those were cries for attention - if he had an actual friend to play with, he wouldn't be doing that so much.

Wow. You completely miss the point. Ya know they can pull us out of the Academy yes? Like seriously just cuz they don't have servants or are rich doesn't mean they aren't our parents.
