Also, I totally agree with the reasoning 100%. Do combat cyborgs need to sleep? If not, then they're literally tireless devotees!

Also, I'm getting kinda tired of arguments about how Jade accepting worship leads to inevitable moral decay, so this would be a good way to demonstrate that encouraging worship and acting morally aren't mutually exclusive.

Glad Neph recommends this. I've been wanting to push for extra channeling practice, because channeling-Jades seem to have an instinct for their respective colors, which speeds up training time. Especially when learning the initial levels of skills.

Might want to ask if it's a good idea to try overchanneling other colors. (Or to try channeling them normally, if that's too dangerous.)

I agree with SWB. We're probably not going to exhaust our red mana reserves on most of the days between now and the Jewel Seed incident, so we can afford to conjure up Neph a few times. What we ask her today should prioritize things of short-term utility.

I think that we now know Sidhe's job for the Jewel seed event. She is perfect for it what with her lack of linker core yet ability to defend herself and others.

Nixeu commented that the green-black effect "could be a number of things from canon. None of them particularly good."

From past votes, Alivaril frequently put parts that weren't covered by the next update "on hold". I don't think resolving to ask these questions at a later date is problematic?

Be careful about assuming we can ask Neph a lot of questions in the future. 9 Red mana to channel her is not cheap; it represents ~50% of our daily Red mana supply, and that's assuming a healthy amount of Linker Core and Ethernano conversion. Mana we spend summoning Neph can't be spent on training, defense, or anything else.

Despite that, SWB's vote seems good. Getting Unison available is priority #1, since it'll increase Jade's effectiveness and safety in a fight. (And maybe Nanoha's? Can't recall whether Mitra is a Unison device.) If Mitra isn't Unison, then swapping the Mitra question out for channeling advice might be a better idea.

On the other hand, getting information about the future is valuable, and Neph knows a lot of magic we don't, so we can partially offset those opportunity costs by taking advantage of opportunities Neph presents us with.

Mitra is an intelligent device, and even if we found a way to add unison, Agneyastra mentioned that Nanoha lacks the required Rare Skill to properly use Unison.

Unfortunately, summoning costs don't seem to go down nearly that much, Nanoha only went from 7RRW to 6RRW.
So while Neph might go down to 6 motes, 8 seems more likely.

But it isn't summoning.

We use "summoning Neph" as a shorthand but it's actually applying an overlay, something completely different. Because it has a specific cost and a duration I would liken it more to casting a spell (like Quicken or perhaps actually most like Haste) than summoning a person. I would expect costs to dip with practice, and would add that we hardly ever summon Nanoha or anyone else anyway, whereas if we can expect to get in a channel every 2 or 3 days we'll be getting an order of magnitude more practice in.

To get that 1 mote reduction, we had to "summon a copy of Yuuno about twice a day every day" for a month.

Right, Neph isn't regular summoning...

I think that question isn't absolutely necessary. We can target a djinn vessel as the goal of a planeswalk, rinse and repeat until we find someone to observe them performing djinn equip.

Admittedly, the White healing is merely a nice-to-have, so I might swap it...

Precog at will, lots of questions answered, in-character confirmation of the Book of Darkness... and basically realizing Neph is indeed trustworthy.

I'd love to ask if we could get tips on making Nanoha a godling but I guess that isn't time critical.

Also, what does she mean about "a healthier Red" (magic)?

Seeing these options... one is a specific event and the second is about completing an objective...you know, why not trying to rewrite the first one in terms of the objectives we want to attain? Like getting a magegift for Nanoha or another Djinn to steal mana for Agneyastra, lands we can bond in the remaining time, or even reccomendations on Sigurd (summon bond before Jewel Seed? how long it'd take?)

We should also consider what counts as 'urgent' and bring her up at that time, otherwise we might barely get in one longer question before the channel breaks.
I don't think anything before the JS incident can top a potential plane-killer (devoid spirits). What's left in terms of urgency? Djinn interactions, both in their dungeons and with their chosen king-vessel, might count. Settling our kingdom might put Jade under enough pressure, similar to the speech in Prosperity where Neph surfaced.
Can anyone find a third scenario?

What's the objective for the first? There really isn't one single thing: we want Agneyastra to have better understanding of her abilities, we want Agneyastra to approve Unison if it interacts nicely with her Djinn skillset, we want to understand if Djinn abilities would be suited for Mitra or any other device, and we want to know if we should run around and grab more Djinn stuff, and more. But for all that, we specifically want to find a person to both demonstrate and explain the process, that's what Agneyastra has said was necessary, I don't see any reason that we would randomly get different advice from Neph. And we need that person to be well-suited: friendly, willing to take time to explain things, understanding of why we aren't carrying around a Djinn.

I actually prefer writing specific events over objectives. Neph is Jade and Jade isn't one-track, if it needs correction or adjustment onto something more optimal Neph will do it.
