Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

Hrrm...Hate to say it but this isn't the time I'd want to write-in. Like any further questions about mikos or talking to DragonSage there is probably best left for the return visit we're likely to do.

[X] Lunch is soon, go home and think about it.

It's not like we're deciding immediately. Let's go home. We need to check on Willow anyways.

Simple enough vote. Besides, "Go home and think about it" doesn't mean yes, per say.

Hrrm...
So I'm feeling like I'm missing something massively about this, if only because of Naron's going 'pull out pull out pull out!' and Rukia going 'come on guys...'
And I'm thinking...The problem here is the whole 'Gaia's child' thing. TL:DR if we take the Miko course and start becoming popular thanks to artist guy, but it's also well-known we're one of gaias...We might give Gaia an in to controlling/manipulating other MGs, moreso then she has in the original Crstalwalker timeline?
Buuut if I'm mistaken then oops.

You are trying to bullrush into another shiny when Cerys already has a lot to do and little time left in this country.

If this comes off as a little aggressive, I am sorry about that. I am just no longer willing to spend time on trying to convince the thread from not doing this kind of thing; the players ought to have learned to weigh their options by now. I have not seen anyone considering what saying 'yes' or 'no' actually mean so far.

Except for that one:
Technically, can't Gaia teach us anything about spirits that this girl can? Unless Miko somehow aren't human.
And to answer it, I very much doubt that some random shrine maiden is not human; even if she was, all the others would have to be as well for Gaia not to know. So yes, Gaia likely can teach Cerys the same thing. It is just a matter of convincing her to do so instead of insisting Cerys learn under a 'proper Miko'.

I would like Gaia's input on the topic since we would basically be her Miko, as well as her being the one who sets our schedule.

At the risk of sounding like a complete airhead...Cerys has alot to do?
Okay yeah I can see your point about learning under humans probably being inferior to learning from Gaia, though...
[X] Decline her offer.

She has her group to tend to, missions from Gaia and training at the least.
Considering what just happened with Sabina, she obviously already has too little time to take care of everything.
Hunh...Alright point, especially given the possibility of Gaia training...I'm not 100% sure of the too little time but time mismanagement due to thread I'd say probably works out to roughly the same effect? And we're on vacation, more importantly. Stressful things can wait awhile as we relax.
Now if only I knew what Rukia was going on about with write-ins...

As of right now, Gaia has no plans to give you any missions for the next three days of your holiday.
They are yours to do with as you wish.

The write in thing is me considering accepting write in responses if I like them.

1.We go Miko we lose our name. Admittedly it's more a safety precaution but that is very important!
Well, several days past expiration, but anyway - it's not that Akiko gave her name up forever - it's that she uses "Akiko" as we do our internet handles.
More to the point, Cerys already has a proper non-Name name. Magical Girl Ignition Knight.

Although depending on the fine print, it might be more her Name now than "Cerys" is.

Well, look at it this way:
1) It's still a vacation
2) Cerys doesn't have any plans for this vacation anyway
3) I don't expect Cerys to pick this up full-time - her full-time job is being Una's minder, and her second job is being Gaia's hitwoman.

What I'm expecting from this is: "For the next three days, Cerys is learning the basics of spirits AND the basics of respectful behavior under Akiko. In the process, she is encouraged by Akiko to interact with other Miko trainees and possibly with spirits - and chastised in a non-obnoxious manner by Akiko when she slightly oversteps the boundaries of being courteous. The end result is Cerys that is slightly more mindful of others, slightly more willing to speak to strangers in a non-offensive manner, and slightly better suited to talking to possible non-hostile otherworldly visitors."

Mind you, this may or may not happen to be an attempt to gain a slight political coup on Akiko's part. But THAT would come from her association with us as a one-time teacher, not from her taking advantage of us. If anything, Karen's idea of doing that exact thing blowing up in her face should have put an end to that.

You are... kind of contradicting yourself. It is not a vacation if Cerys spends all of it gettind educated. Which she would have to to actually get even the basics down in three days.
